Frantic Fusions is a metagame where a Pokemon gains two traits of a Pokemon in its Nickname: It gets access to the any of the fused Pokemon's abilities on top of its own abilities, and gets the donor's base stats quartered (rounded down) and added on top of its base stats, except HP.
For example, here is a Great Tusk fused with a Tornadus-Therian:

Abilities: Protosynthesis / Regenerator
Base Stats: 115 / 156 / 151 / 80 / 75 / 117 (BST 694)
Mechanic: One Pokemon gains the traits of a Pokemon in its nickname, such as its abilities and its base stats quartered (rounded down) and added onto it.
Clauses: Standard OMs, Sleep Moves Clause, Min Source Gen = 9, Terastal Clause, 2 Ability Clause, Fusion Clause*
*Fusion Clause - Two Pokemon cannot share a donor. If a Pokemon is banned, it cannot be used as a donor or a fusee.
This allows for Pokemon to obtain a variable set of new tools, rather it be from a mediocre stat one Pokemon has being improved, or access to a new ability.
Sample Sets

Tornadus-Therian (Great Tusk) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
Tera Type: Ground
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpD / 4 Spe
Careful Nature
- Earthquake
- Close Combat
- Rapid Spin
- Knock Off
Abilities: Protosynthesis / Regenerator
Base Stats: 115 / 156 / 151 / 80 / 75 / 117 (BST 694)
Great Tusk turns into an excellent Regenerator pivot with stupendous bulk and a variable amount of utility; whether this is broken or not is yet to be determined, but I have no doubt this'll be a metagame staple.

Latias (Raging Bolt) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
Tera Type: Electric
EVs: 252 HP / 200 SpA / 56 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 20 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Thunderbolt
- Thunderclap
- Dragon Pulse
Abilities: Protosynthesis / Levitate
Base Stats: 125 / 93 / 113 / 164 / 121 / 102 (BST 718)
Raging Bolt gets upgraded with extra bulk and a spicy Ground immunity from fusing with Latias, making it more of an effective win-con than it already is; also makes it even more annoying to trade with!
