Hi.

Thanks to all who helped me in my first RMT, the team has finally broken through 1600 in the ladder and it's all thanks to you helpful souls. With my first team success under my belt, I wanted to try my hand at making a new team which was based around another Pokemon I never see: Mega Beedrill. I don't understand why, since it outspeeds or speedties the ENTIRE non-scarfed metagame (except Gale Wings Tflame, fuck that thing and it's priority Brave Birds), and a few scarfers as well. So straight on to the team!

beedrill-mega.gif

We start with the main man Beedrill, our lead and U-turner. It does so much damage with it's Adaptability U-Turn it's not even funny.

tyranitar.gif

Tyranitar is added to the team as my Stealth Rocker and bulky tank, as well as my Pursuit Trapper. He forms a great core with Mega Bee, resisting all Mega Bee's weak against.

excadrill.gif

I needed a spinner and a physical sweeper, since Mega Beedrill is more of a pivot that keeps momentum than a sweeper. Excadrill fit perfectly, synergizing with my Sand Stream to kill things (Sand Rush got nothing on dis).

I now needed a special nuke/sweeper since the first 3 are all physical. Specs Volcanion was a near-perfect choice because of it's Water Absorb ability, which allowed me to switch into Hydro Pumps and Scalds, something the first 3 Pokemon were unable to do. Furthermore, it's nuclear-level attacks were welcome, since not many Pokemon would be willing to take a Specs Modest max EV Steam Eruption with burn chance.

However, with Volcanion came a big Ground weakness. Thus, I changed out Excadrill for defensive Lando-T as my new Stealth Rocks setter and physical tank, and made TTar into a scarfer.

With the removal of Excadrill, I needed some hazard removal for Mega Bee and Volcanion. I also had no way to hit bulky Water types like Cancercune correctly. So, I went with Thunderbolt LO Latios, with Defog.

For the last Pokemon, I put in Rotom-W as my physical wall and pivot to make a sweet VoltTurn core with Mega Bee. This gave me room to put Swords Dance on Lando-T to allow it to wallbreak. The team is complete.

The team WAS complete. As it stood, even with Latios, Mega Venu was still quite a big problem and I almost never had a chance to Defog as Latios due to it's frailty. Furthermore, status was a bitch to handle, so I wanted some cleric support. Since Landorus-T was the only TRUE Ground resistor, I put in Stallbreaker Togekiss for Mega Venu and status healing, and Defog Mew. To compensate for Rotom-W's Volt Switch, I gave Lando-T U-Turn again.

Inigo (Beedrill) @ Beedrillite
Ability: Sniper
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Protect
- U-turn
- Poison Jab
- Knock Off

Starting off this RMT is my lead, late-game cleaner and my speedster pivot with U-Turn, it's Inigo the Mega Beedrill. Remember that one time you hit that beehive with a rock? You killed his father. And you better be prepared to die. With a maximum of 427 speed, he will kill you faster than you in bed. I am honestly not sure how this isn't used a lot, with it's godlike speed and it hitting like a truck. Sure, it's a glass cannon and breaks in about 2 hits, but you can't do anything if it kills you first. If you can take a hit, Inigo will just U-Turn out into another Pokemon to counter you. Rinse and repeat. Protect is to safely Mega Evolve and gain the Mega stats, U-Turn is a tactical nuke with switching capabilities, keeping up the momentum, Poison Jab is the same thing but with less switching and more DEATH, and Knock Off is the utility move, OHKOing Gengar and messing with the physical wall's item, which it will not appreciate. Standard EVs and Nature, giving Inigo as much speed and attack as possible, for maximum killing.

Yoshi (Tyranitar) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stone Edge
- Pursuit
- Superpower
- Crunch

This is the one Yoshi you do not want to ride on. Yoshi the Tyranitar functions as my backup cleaner, scarfer, revenge killer and Inigo's sidekick, protecting him from all that may hurt him. Aside from the nice protection, Yoshi can bring the hurt well enough on his own, massacring all the Steel types that Inigo can't kill with a well-placed Superpower, save a few lucky dual types. Furthermore, TTar looks to the enemies as my Stealth Rocker, allowing for quick surprise kills. Mega Pinsir wants to Close Combat me? Stone Edge. Bisharp wants to Iron Head me? GETTTT Superpower'd on! The moves are self-explanatory, with Stone Edge and Crunch being my STABs, Superpower for the Steel types Beedrill can't touch, and Pursuit is to trap those pesky Lati twins. EVs are pretty standard too, max Attack and Speed and Jolly Nature to maximise usage of the Choice Scarf.

Garfield (Landorus-Therian) @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 248 HP / 244 Def / 8 SpD / 8 Spe
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- U-Turn
- Stone Edge

Next on the list will be Garfield, the Landorus-T. Garfield is most likely one of, if not the, best Stealth Rocks in the current OU meta. Furthermore, paired with TTar, I can bluff the opponents into thinking this is my scarfer, letting TTar grab some quick surprise kills. Garfield also further synergizes with Mega Bee, and also TTar somewhat due to it's Flying type. This is a standard SR defensive Lando-T set, so there is not much to explain. Rocky Helmet is used to help whittle down the physical attacker's HP for Mega Bee to cleanup after on the switchin, EdgeQuake is OP and very useful, Stealth Rock is self-explanatory, and U-Turn is to pair with Mega Bee for momentum. The EVs are also very standard, 8 SpD EVs to take an HP Ice from Mega Manectric at full health, 8 Speed EVs to outspeed base 50 speeds with a positive Speed nature like Jolly Azumarill, and the rest are dumped into HP and Defense with an Impish nature for bulk.

Asgore (Volcanion) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Steam Eruption
- Flamethrower
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Earth Power

Asgore is my king under the mountain, the special nuke and my answer to all the water attacks that my team was currently weak to then. With the exception of super bulky Grass types, there is no Pokemon that would want to take a Specs Modest Max SpAtk STAB Steam Eruption to the face with burn chance. With that noted, Asgore almost always guarantees me a kill, since it does so much damage. Water Absorb is also a great detergent to Scarfers like Keldeo, giving me a free kill on the switchout. This is a standard all-out attacker Specs set, with Steam Eruption being the super STAB, Flamethrower over Fire Blast for accuracy and consistency, HP Grass is used for coverage against bulky Water types which may prouble the team (Gastrodon, Quagsire, etc), and Earth Power for killing opposing Volcanion and the bulky Electric types that think they can kill me, like Magnezone. The EVs and Nature are meant to give Volcanion the extra oomph, while having enough speed to be able to speedtie Breloom and outspeed most defensive Lando-T to OHKO.

'Merica (Togekiss) @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 80 Def / 176 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Nasty Plot
- Air Slash
- Heal Bell
- Roost

It's red, blue, white, and really fat. 'Merica the Togekiss functions as my bulky stallbreaker, Mega Venu check, and my cleric with Heal Bell. With the team as it is, I had no Dragon resistance, so an Scarfed Kyu-B could easily kill half my team with a well-placed Outrage, and a Draco Meteor hurts a lot. I also wanted some insurance when it came to Ground-type resistance, since Landorus-T had no recovery moves and would get whittled down surprisingly quickly. Togekiss gives me all this and more, healing my party of statuses like Toxic and most notably Spore/TWave on Mega Bee through Heal Bell, and being the fat wall between my opponent and his victory. Leftovers are given for some passive recovery, which helps with 'Merica's bulk. Nasty Plot boosts Togekiss's power to deadly heights, breaking down even the sturdiest of walls, and since walls tend to be slow, it's boosted Serene Grace Air Slash almost always ensures a kill, as well as being a great STAB. Roost is to ensure 'Merica's longevity and keep it alive to do it's work. Max HP EVs for maximum bulk, 80 Def EVs to take 2 Psyshocks from Latios/2 Returns from Mega Lop and 176 Speed EVs to outspeed and revengekill Jolly Bisharp.

Ori (Mew) @ Leftovers
Ability: Synchronize
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 224 SpD / 32 Spe
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Defog
- Soft-Boiled
- Will-O-Wisp
- Ice Beam

For the last entry, we have my defogger and special tank, Ori the Blue Mew. With 5 Pokemon down, I now needed a defogger and a nice special tank. Mew fit this description quite well, and it's typing further synergizes with the team, instead of burdening it. Synchronize also is a great asset in the face of an incoming Toxic/TWave/Will-o-Wisp, wrecking the opponent while I can simply heal mine off with 'Merica. This is quite a standard Defog Mew, but with one change, and that is Ice Beam. As it stood, I had absolutely no dragonkiller move that could take down those troublesome DDnites and TankChomps. Ice Beam solved that problem. Furthermore, Will-o-Wisp messes up any physical attacker, so Dnite can't do anything to me before I Ice Beam it. This also kills Thundurus, which Ori effectively counters, helping the team a lot. Defog is self-explanatory, and Soft-Boiled is for longevity. Standard Defog Mew EVs, with a Calm Nature to take less damage from Foul Play.

Talonflame
663MS.png

This is not too big a threat, but it is one nonetheless. This is the main counter to Mega Bee with it's priority Brave Birds. Stealth Rocks and TTar help kill this thing, but if TTar is dead, this is guaranteed to get at least 2 kills.
Substitute Kyurem-B
Ani646BMS.png

If it gets it's Substitute up and I can't kill the Substitute (I had to switch or I use a status move on it's Sub when it's faster than me because I thought it was scarfed), it's guaranteed to get a kill.
BD Azumarill
Ani184OD.png

The only counter that I have to BDMarill is Volcanion. If it is dead, I lose the game as it just has to switch into something like TTar and setup.

That would be the end of my RMT. Hope you enjoyed and I hope to hear responses from you soon!
