Flinch Team

The primary goal of the team is to paralyze the foe and set up Togekiss for flinching.

I had wanted to use Tangrowth or something for Stun Spore (for those immune to Thunder Wave), but decided against it. Togekiss is essential to the strategy, and he is weak to ice, as is Gliscor, who I figured I'd need to counter Heracross should he get a Guts boost from paralysis. Tangrowth would add a third ice weak, which I thought might be too much. Or he would go in place of Gliscor, leaving me vulnerable to Heracross. If someone can find a way to fit Tangrowth on this team without compromising things too much, that would be cool.

I'm fairly new, and I've spent quite a long time on this, which I mostly attribute to my inexperience. As such, I'm sure there are improvements that can be made.

Changes so far:
Gengar - changed back to original set with scarf
Blissey - replaced Aromatherapy with Seismic Toss.
Cresselia - replaced with Lucario

Substitute + Calm Mind Raikou walks all over this team. How much do you value Aromatherapy on Blissey?

Well, to be honest, I'm not exactly sure of how important it is. I originally gave Aromatherapy to Blissey so I wouldn't get screwed with a paralyzed Togekiss. Although, I suppose Substitute should protect it from statuses most of the time.

So I suppose it could go if it has to.

Your team has no way of killing Blissey. I'd be so bold to say that Blissey actually sweeps your team(albeit very slowly). Blissey should be the first pokemon on your counter list, it's the crutch of every battler out there and should be expected to be met in 50% of all battles.

Well shit.

How 'bout changing Gengar to the Life Orb set with Explosion in the analysis? http://www.smogon.com/dp/pokemon/gengar

Or will more than that be necessary?

To be honest I dont see the merit in Cresselia. In fact this team lacks a way to kill Blissey and other threats. Gengar won't do because of Protect Blissey.

I think replacing Cresselia with SD Lucario or Celebi creates a solid core that can actually beat blissey as well. Lucario provides a good physical attacker, as well a a Pokemon that gives priority...much needed priority. Celebi can Leech Seed Blissey which will eventually kill it, as well as provide a solid defensive pla with Blissey, Gliscor, and Bronzong.

I personally would use Lucario, as Gliscor, Blissey, and Bronzong will end up killing all of the counters to a Swords Dance Lucario anyhow. It also provides just a much quicker way to easily kill Blissey (as well as finish off weakened Raikou).

You lack speed, so I feel Scarf Gengar would be a solid choice to defeat other scarfers that may give you trouble.

If life orb and Explosion work though for you, you can still use it. The choice is entirely up to you.

Ok, changed Gengar back to the original set with scarf.

Anything else? I only have 2 pokemon with the ability to paralyze now. Is that enough considering my main goal?

I think I may just have to largely scrap this and try a different approach to a flinch team. I'm not really happy with its performance...

My thanks to those who have taken the time to offer advice.
