SV OU Fire spin volcanion+specs kyurem balance (peak n1, 2060)

Hello everyone. I would like to share a team that I built a while ago and found a great deal of success on the ladder with over the course of its existence. While it was made for a different meta and is certainly not as good as it was in early January, it still holds up nicely and matches up well against a variety of different styles, as evidenced by the fact that I recently hit n1 with it.

Im a lot more proud of the 2060 peak actually because back then there were a lot of good players playing the game, but n1 is also nice.

Team Members:
:Kyurem:
@ Choice Specs
Ability: Pressure
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Ice Beam
- Freeze-Dry
- Draco Meteor
- Earth Power
This is the guy I initially decided to build around and its the teams primary way of punishing slow bulky teams. Not a lot can switch into choice specs ice beam/freeze dry/ep/draco, and if youre able to get the predicts right this thing will tear through defensive structures like swiss cheese. This mon is also fantastic vs a lot of bulky offenses where it can hit their bulkier slower threats like rillaboom for super effective damage with your godlike coverage. Tera fairy is chosen specifically to flip the dragon type matchup as one of the biggest threats for this team is pokemon like raging bolt terastallizing into fairy and then ohkoing you back with their dragon move.

:Volcanion:
@ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Water Absorb
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 36 HP / 252 SpA / 220 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Steam Eruption
- Fire Spin
- Sludge Bomb
- Taunt
You guys probably saw this set in Quizzy's rmt where he used it with roar zama, but let it be known that I was using it first. Anyway this is a sick set I stole from someone I saw using it way back in november and I knew it would be the perfect partner for specs kyurem. With it, you cant trap slowking galar and blissey and then 1v1 them to take them out and break the game open for kyurem. This was a LOT more effective back when people didnt know volcanion got fire spin, but nowadays, people are generally expecting it so its a lot harder to trap stuff. Tera ghost is chosen so that u are invulnerable to most blisseys and take reduced damage from glowking sludge bomb and sludge bomb of your own is chosen for stuff like woger(big threat to this team)

:Clefable:
@ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
Tera Type: Ground
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
- Moonblast
- Knock Off
- Stealth Rock
- Moonlight
Ahhh, old reliable spdef clefable. This is your main switch in to stuff like valiant, pult, bolt, walking wake, enam, etc. Gets up rocks easily in most matchups and can disrupt enemy teams with knock really effectively. The fairy typing is really invaluable to dissuade draco dropping, which can be a big issue for this team. Twave might be better than knock but I havent really tested it. Tera ground is chosen so you dont get 6-0d instantly by iron crown and magnezone, as well as being able to block specs volt switch from some stuff like raging bolt.

:Corviknight:
@ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Pressure
Tera Type: Dragon
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Impish Nature
- Brave Bird/Body Press
- Iron Defense/U-turn
- Roost
- Defog
This is one of the teams physical answers and will be the main switch in to stuff like gambit, boulder, moon, weave, meow, etc. Theres a lot of sets you can run but I would advise always running defog. Ghold is a really bad matchup but it has fallen off recently due to its inability to provide enough defensive utility on balance. Theres still a few gholdengo crutches who hang onto it for dear life but its not common enough that you cant afford to run this set. Anyway this guy is the goat, way better than fraudmory. With tera you can maybe beat waterpon sometimes.

:Weavile:
@ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Pressure
Tera Type: Ice
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Knock Off
- Triple Axel
- Ice Shard
- Low Kick
Excellent revenge killer and is the teams primary form of speed control. Ice shard priority is really good in this meta and ice-dark-fight is really hard to switch into for a lot of the meta. Its an easy progress makes that lets you punish both bulkier and more offensive teams alike. With tera ice, you get enough power to punch through stuff like iron valiant and ogerpon wellspring, and the dark typing can be useful as an emergency switch into stuff like roaring moon knock, kingambit kowtow, or dragapult hex. One underrated aspect of this team that took even myself a long time to understand is that pressure stalling threatening moves is a real way to win the game. With 3 pressure mons, you can throw them all away at a pokemon clicking draco or focus blast or something like that and then win if that move is standing between you and the next mon I will talk about sweeping.

:Dondozo:
@ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
Tera Type: Dark
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Waterfall
- Curse
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
This dondozo set really is epic. It is a lot worse now that people are actually using wogerpon, but back when I first made it this this won half of all games by itself(still does tbh). Yet another set I stole from someone back in november, with max spdef you can 1v1 hexpult, valiant, enam, volcarona, gholdengo if u get lucky with spdef drops, and after you tera, no booster no draco raging bolt and any stored power mon. With 2 curses, you also wall the entire phsyical metagame as well. End result is this thing sweeps a lot of teams after you get some progress down. Biggest threats to it are tera dark+black glasses gambit/ low kick+tera fight gambit, wogerpon, ursaluna, and draco droppers.

Threats:
Ogerpon wellspring
Raging bolt
Goldengo+spikes
Water absorb clod
Shadow ball blissey
That dumb gouging fire set

How is the team vs Tera water curse garg?

Freeze dry does a lot and if u tera dozo u probably stall out recovers if u can hit 6 curses. Remember that clef gets an easy knock as it starts to set up so that helps make it a lot more manageable.
