EXTREME STALL - Whimsicott & Sableye double Prankster

Hi everybody here is my second RMT ! I've used a lot of teams and strategies since I started playing competitive pokemon and THIS team is easily my favorite one, the most efficient team I built so far.

So here is my extreme stall team :

Troll (Whimsicott) @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 Def
Bold Nature
- Encore
- Leech Seed
- Substitute
- Moonblast

The most annoying pokemon ever. The strategy is very simple: use encore on a setting-up sweeper, hind behind subtitute on the switch, then leech seed and slowly wear down the opponent. Leech Seed + leftovers makes you lose only 5~8% per subtitute, whereas your opponent loses 12% each turn and can not use recovery or set-up moves if they don't want to be locked. This Whimsicott can only be stopped by Grass-Type, sound-based attackers (Gardevoir, sylveon) and few magic guard users. So it becomes a awesome "sweeper" in the late game when all of his few checks are dead. 252 def EV to be able to take priority moves from faster pokemons. Moonblast 0HKO switch-in Breloom. Sometimes Whimsicott is able to take down my opponent's entire team if my opponent doesn't have any Grass-Type.

Troll2 (Sableye) @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SDef / 4 Spd
Calm Nature
- Taunt
- Will-O-Wisp
- Foul Play
- Recover

The second most annoying pokemon ever. WoW will take down every non-fire non-guts physical sweepers. Taunt to cripple walls and prevents taunt and toxic. Foul Play to deal some damage, and sometimes a lot of damage when used on dancers. It also hardly hits the switching-in Espeon. 252 SDef makes Sableye very bulky as he only fears powerful special attacks.

Tank (Quagsire) (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Bold Nature
- Protect
- Recover
- Scald
- Toxic

The physicall tank. When playing stall teams you often fears that your opponent set up on your inoffensive wall, so Unaware Quagsire is one of the best solution to that. Quagsire easily handles almost every common physical sweeper like Charizard X, Excadrill, Garchomp, Scizor... And cripple them back with Scald or wall them with Toxic.

Tank2 (Mandibuzz) (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Overcoat
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SDef / 4 Spd
Calm Nature
- Roost
- Foul Play
- Defog
- Toxic

Another very bulky tank. As I can rather easily deal with physical sweepers, my three next pokemons will be special walls. Mandibuzz is a very bulky pokemon, able to easily take hydropumps or fire blasts. Defog to clean up the field if there are too many hazards on my side. Toxic stall.

Tank3 (Venusaur) @ Venusaurite
Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 4 Spd / 252 SAtk / 252 SDef
Modest Nature
- Giga Drain
- Leech Seed
- Sludge Bomb
- Sleep Powder

Mega-Venusaur is a rather annoying pokemon too, very hard to take down because of his amazing typing and resistances. With thick fat he can take for example an Ice beam from Greninja and recover from the damage taken with Giga Drain. Also, he can deal with opponent's Venusaurs which could cause some trouble to my team. In fact, I often meet badly-built teams which haven't any answer to MegaV.

Counter (Heatran) @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 HP / 252 SDef
Calm Nature
- Lava Plume
- Earth Power
- Flash Cannon
- Stealth Rock

In the end, the MOST important member of this team. Heatran has a absolutely perfect synergy with Whimsicott and Sableye, 4x resisting Ice- and Steel-,immune to Poison which are Whimsicott's only weaknesses and also resisting 4x resisting Fairy- which is Sableye's only weakness. It also perfectly handles fire-types, countering Talonflame, Volcarona, Air Slash Charizard Y and setting up rocks on the switch-out. Flash Cannon to kill fairies and Earth Power is here to handle opponent's heatran.

So that is my extreme stall team. The strategy is based on powerful residual damages, with Leech Seed + SR + burn/poison, and very bulky walls. I don't use spikes because I don't want to waster a slot for a spinblocker. In fact, with those amounts of residual damage I can already easily take down the enemy within 5 turns if they don't have any recovery move. Everybody bar Heatran has reliable recovery moves and often I win matches with my 6 pokemon still alive and healthy.

This team almost always have at least two answers to common threats in OU Tier. For example, Quagsire and Heatran for Charizard/Heatran, Heatran for Gardevoir, Venusaur for Greninja, Mandibuzz/Whimsicott for set-up dancers like Dragonite, Whimsicott/Sableye for opponent's walls... I have wow for sweepers and toxic for stallers.

However, there may be few threats that can be hard to handle for my team. Opponent's Venusaur and Heatran can sometimes be a real pain in the ass. But I can still deal with them with burn/sludge bomb for venusaur and leech seed + sleep powder, quagsire for heatran. In fact heatran is the only pokemon that is immune to both wow and toxic. As for Magic Guard users, reuniclus is rather rare and can be handled with foul play, whereas Clefable is taken down by Flash Cannon or Sludge Bomb.

In conclusion, without any doubt that is a very dirty team ! But so efficient ! I hope you enjoyed reading my RMT, and If you have any ideas of improvement, threat list, or anything like that please tell me in the comments ! Sorry for my english !

First off, I wouldn't call it "extreme stall" with Heatran's ev spread and no Chansey. You need a more passive Heatran set for it to be "extreme stall"

Second off, any stall team benefits from a cleric. Since you're going for "extreme stall" I suggest Chansey, since she's the most passive cleric.

Mandibuzz is better off physically defensive. And for Mega Venusaur, give it 252 HP EV's and replace one of the moves with Synthesis. Heatran also might enjoy Roar. I think Chansey would replace Whimsicott.

The last one was really close !

In fact I don't feel the need of a cleric, as in my team Heatran is immune to toxic/burn, Whimsicott has sub, Sableye has taunt.. If I play carefully there is few chances that my core gets a bad status. Btw, in the last video I replaced MVenu by Ferrothorn and it works pretty well, as for fire-types I already have Heatran and Quagsire.
