SS UU Expanding Force zam and his frens

Hello there, I've been playing Pokémon competitive for quite some time, ever since the Shoddy days. I took some time off, between gen 6 and gen 8, but now I'm back.

The idea behind this team is pretty simple: set up psychic terrain with Indeedee, kill stuff with Indeedee and/or zam. The rest of the goons are there just to make sure that Alakazam will have no problem killing stuff. I'm still kinda low on the ladder but I'm liking this team so far. Anyway, here it is:

The Team

Alakazam @ Life Orb
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Nasty Plot
- Focus Blast
- Shadow Ball
- Expanding Force

Here's the man of the game. This set is pretty straightforward. Focus Blast, Shadow Ball and Expanding Force means a perfect coverage, while Nasty Plot adds a little bit of oomph that sometimes is needed to kill more beefy mons, although I've been testing Recover as well to see if it helps with survivability, but this mon is so frail that it doesn't help much. Life Orb and Magic Guard work wonders, as we all know. The EVs are default, and 0 Atk IVs to help mitigate a little bit of Foul Play damage. Timid means we outspeed pretty much anything that isn't scarf or isn't named Zeraora.

Indeedee @ Choice Specs
Ability: Psychic Surge
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Expanding Force
- Hyper Voice
- Mystical Fire
- Trick

I feel like Indeedee is kinda underrated. This is not a psychic terrain bot, it can lash out some pretty nasty damage as well. Psychic Surge, besides setting the expanding force for zam, helps negating priority moves such as aqua jet from crawdaunt and accelerock from lycanrock. Expanding Force deals heavy damage, Hyper Voice is for STAB and Mystical Fire for coverage, although I rarely use it. Trick is for tricking my specs into Chanseys and making them way less bulky.

krookodile.png

Krookodile @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Moxie
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Close Combat
- Knock Off

This is my late game sweeper/revenge killer. Sometimes I can lead with it too, just to set up some rocks and then switch out. The amount of games that this mon won for me should not be underestimated. The set is pretty common: EQ and knock off for STAB and CC for coverage. I'm testing switching SR for Stone Edge as well to help with stuff like mence and kyurem, but I fell like I miss more than I hit. Rocks are pretty helpful nonetheless, and I have no other possible rocker on this team. The EV spread is

Primarina @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Scald
- Draining Kiss
- Substitute

Primarina is the main wall of the team and deals with conkeldurr, krook, keldeo, crawdaunt... the list goes on. I enjoy the synergy it has with my own krook, too, to check victini. The set is a sub cm with scald for them nasty burns and draining kiss for recovering. I really like this mon cuz it checks so much of the tier, but I feel like it's the main reason this team is so weak to saur, too. So I'm kinda divided.

scizor-f.png

Scizor @ Choice Band
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- U-turn
- Bullet Punch
- Knock Off
- Dual Wingbeat

I honestly don't know what to do in this slot. I'm using Scizor right now because it "kinda" helps against saur, but only in certain conditions. Scizor doesn't synergise well with psychic terrain, as I can't use Bullet Punch, which is the main weapon of this thing, so suggestions for replacements are welcome. Besides that, he's a pretty good hitter and U-turn helps with momentum a lot. Dual Wingbeat deals heavy damage against stuff like conkeldurr, bulu and tangrowth. Knock Off is there for the utility.

rotom-heat.png

Rotom-Heat @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 92 SpD / 168 Spe
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Volt Switch
- Overheat
- Defog
- Pain Split

This is basically my only response to Sunny Day saur teams. Otherwise, I get wrecked by it. Normally, I have to sacrifice some other mon and switch in this and hope and pray that:
a) They don't switch out saur
b) I don't miss Overheat
If any of those things happen, I may as well just forfeit the game depending on the conditions. This spread let me live one sludge bomb from saur at 20%~ HP at best or 3% at worse, and then I kill it with overheat if, of course, both of the aforementioned conditions are met. Otherwise, I'm ded. Thankfully sunny teams are not that common. The set is pretty common: Volt Switch for momentum, Overheat for damage, Defog for removing hazards and screens (although hazards are not that much of a hustle for this team) and Pain Split for longevity. Heavy Duty Boots are a must on this mon.

: As I've said, not much I can do against this beast on the sun. Normally I need to sac someone so I can bring Rotom and hopefully survive a +2 Sludge Bomb if it setup. Other than that, this is pretty much a 6-0 sweep by saur.

: If it's the offensive one, Primarina handles it pretty well and whittles it down with scald. If it's the defensive one, I need to keep hitting it with overheats and/or volt switchs from Rotom, as Celesteela can't do much in return.

This is it, hope that you liked my team and I'm accepting any sugestions that you may have. Feel free to test it, use it, change it, as you like. Thanks for reading up to this point and have a nice day :]
