Agents of Smogoff,
Here is your mission, if you choose to accept it.
1) Evil Incineroar is here. You have one turn to hit him with your hardest attack. Any Pokemon or move is acceptable*.
2) He has read you like a book, and he doesn't like the ending. Or the cover. He will predict your move and magically change to the legal set that counters you best.
3) Die with honor. This is a 1 on 1 match. No outside help.
4) Evil Incineroar respects your sacrifice, and he chooses to win with honor, abiding by certain rules...
a) He will not try to block or minimize your attack with crutches like Protect, Substitute, and stat boosting moves.
b) He will not dodge your attack by wheedling out an unlucky miss. He will walk into your attack and take it.
c) He will not shirk your attack by KOing you first or using status ailments. You have one full, free turn to kill him – being slower is acceptable.
*5) ...But he knows your heart. If you go back on your honor with debased tactics like OHKO moves (not that they'd save you, anyway), Final Gambit, and reliance on luck-based effects, he will cast aside his few mores.
*6) Evil Incineroar doesn't like Generation 8. No Dynamax.
7) You can submit as many strategies as you like.
Rule 1: Since you have one turn, you can't use setup moves like Swords Dance or Nasty Plot, or moves that require a charge turn. Recharge turns, however, are fine.
Dynamax and Gigantamax are off the table, but Megas, Z-Crystals, and offensive Terastallization are all okay. Additionally, Mega Evolution (and Z-Crystals) can be used with Tera.
Evil Incineroar, for all his malice, is a gentleman, and automatically heals all your Pokemon of lost HP and status before the battle. You cannot refuse this offer–it'd be rude.
Rule 2: He can freely change the following tools: Level, Gender, Ability, Item, all six stats, nature, and (activated) Tera Type.
He always starts with full health and no status ailments (e.g. poison) or statuses (e.g. Salt Cure) of any kind.
Rule 3: Singles format, not doubles. No Baton Pass stat boosts, no entry hazards or teammate attacks, no teammates for Beat Up, and so on.
Rule 4: If Incineroar is able to move before you, he is still able to use a move. He will just use one that doesn't specifically target your strategy. Scary Face is a good default. He also won't KO you, of course. He has that.
Rule 5: Luck-based effects include critical hits and secondary effects. Something like Triple Axel landing all its hits is reasonable enough to avoid Evil Incineroar's wrath. Something like Population Bomb without Wide Lens landing every hit is not.

1) Evil Incineroar being able to Terastallize is very important:
a) Standard type matchups don't really matter: if you go for a super effective Water-type attack, he will just use Tera Water to resist it. Thus, he resists or is immune to almost every attack.
b) Because he resists so much, the type you choose doesn't matter much, unless it's a type that he can become immune to. There are some ways around immunities, but they make the following types and strategies harder to work with:
- Normal (Explosion, Hyper Beam, Giga Impact)
- Fighting (Secret Sword)
- Ghost (Astral Barrage)
- Electric (Miraidon, Regieleki, Electric Surge)
- Psychic (Psystrike, Psyshock, Prismatic Laser, Psychic Surge)
- Dragon (Regidrago, Draco Meteor, Outrage, Eternabeam)
- Ground
c) On the bright side, you can use Tera yourself for more power, or even to make a non-stab move have STAB.
2) Evil Incineroar has equal defensive stats, and it can use Intimidate and Assault Vest. If both are effective in context, they cancel out, so a generic Pokemon's 100 BP physical attack is equal to their 100 BP special attack.
3) Abilities and items are very helpful. Choice Band and Choice Specs go a long way with their multipliers, as do abilities that boost power or set helpful field conditions. Megas and Z-Crystals, while legal, are tricky to use because they block using boosting items.
