oopsie daisy fell asleep before i finished drafting vetoes yesterday

:alcremie: The buffs to its bulk in addition to Triage Recover makes it too bulky to reasonably break before it gets a chance to double dance and become an unkillable blob. Veto'd, just reduce its HP by 10 and it should be fine.

:calyrex-ice: I was going back and forth on this one, but ultimately figured it needs nerfed. Veto'd, Defeatist does enough to rein it in, but remove the stat buffs you gave it since it's already a 680 BST beast.

:alomomola::dragalge: Both veto'd for very stretchy era justification, nothing about them really fit for Present Day over another era, like Prehistoric or Age of Piracy. Would recommend saving them for one of those eras.

:druddigon::sirfetch'd: Lumping these two together, veto'd because Returning Mons can't have their types changed, only Eramons. Otherwise they're fine.

:escavalier: This mon's way bulkier than any currently existing Regen mon, has an excellent defensive typing, a fat attack stat that keeps it from being passive as a drawback, and even (limited) priority STAB to work around its terrible speed stat, so veto'd. I like what this is trying to do, but I think Regen is ultimately what breaks it, so replace that or nerf its bulk.

:mantine: Mantine's fighter plane inspiration is there, but it's not strong enough for me to comfortably let it slide, so veto'd. I'd recommend saving it for next phase and letting it lean into that inspiration a lot harder there.

Additionally, for anyone not in the Discord or who missed it, the BST rule got narrowed down and simplified once more. You can buff a mon's stats by up to 50 points, OR nerf its stats by 50, but not both. Fix your subs accordingly if you added to some stats and also took points out of others. If you don't fix this, your sub won't be veto'd, but council will make the fix instead.

With that said, you've got 24 hours to make your changes before voting begins tomorrow.

uh

i dunno who that guy is, ignore the above post.

Anywho, time's up, and the following submissions remain veto'd and can not be voted for:
:calyrex-ice::alomomola::dragalge: (Lapzaplerq)

For a refresher on how voting works:
You can vote for three Pokemon from each era in this slate, allowing for 6 total votes. Votes award points in descending order per era, so the first mon you vote for will get 3 points, next will get 2, etc. If you vote for less than 3 mons per era, the 2 mons or single mon you vote for will only count for 2 points then 1 point, or just 1 point respectively. You can only SV one of your mons for each era, making 2 max, and can not place them as your highest-value vote.

You have 48 hours to vote, meaning votes will close on the 20th.

In other news, we officially have a spreadsheet up and running! Click here or check either the OP or our Discord to find it!

Votes are now closed! We actually don't need to stop and tiebreak this time, as the results turned out pretty cleanly. So with that said...

Slate 2 - Returning Mons WINNERS

Medieval
:swsh/escavalier::swsh/kingambit::swsh/tinkaton::swsh/rapidash-galar::swsh/gallade::swsh/hariyama:
(APaidActor, G-Luke, PQRDG, Gaboswampert, Mossy Sandwich & T.I.A.)

Present Day
:swsh/duraludon::swsh/cinderace::swsh/unfezant::swsh/conkeldurr::swsh/rotom-wash::swsh/revavroom:
(APaidActor, zxgzxg, Fragmented, lavarina, G-Luke & Gaboswampert)
(Click the mons above to view their subs!)

Congrats to our winners! We're now giving you all the floor again for a 24 hour discussion phase to talk about how these mons will mesh within their own tiers, against the tier developing alongside them, and against our two already fleshed out tiers! The next phase will start shortly after.

If i had a nickel for every pure Fighting type with Guts and Sheer Force with a big Atk stat and very low speed introduced in this slate, i'll have 2 nickels, which isnt a lot but its weird that it happened twice

Slate 2 - New Eramons Phase
We're now entering our second Eramons phase! This is where you get to let loose more with customs, type changes, the whole lot. As a reminder on restrictions when building an Eramon...
Users submit up to 3 Eramons for a Pokemon that does not currently exist in their era of choice, with the top 6 voted on being added to each era, making for 12 new additions. Designing an Eramons let you change a Pokemon much more drastically, such as:
  • Can change one of or both types
  • Can freely redistribute stats as long as BST stays the same
  • Can swap out and replace any of its abilities
  • Can freely change its movepool
  • Can add one custom element, in the form of either one new move or one new ability (no new field effects or the like, and make it reasonable to code)
Remember to build with last phase's winners in mind, and consider what the era needs to patch holes in their game plan. This phase will last for 1 week and close on the 28th, after which vetoes will be put out shortly after.

Good luck!

:sv/Delphox:
Original Pokemon: Delphox
New Pokemon: Spellfox
Era: Medieval
Type: Fire/Fairy
Abilities: Magician / Magic Guard
Stats: 87 / 81 / 75 / 97 / 97 / 97 [BST 534] (HP + 12, Atk + 12, Def + 3, Sp. Atk - 17, Sp. Def - 3, Speed - 7)
Move Changes:
+ Aura Sphere, Fiery Dance, Moonblast, Moonlight, Misty Terrain, Play Rough, Poltergeist
- Foul Play, Nasty Plot, Psychic Terrain, Thunder Punch
Role: Bulky Special attacker with strong moves and utility. Fire/Fairy is a fun fresh typing for it to use.
Era Justification: The original name convention and the Psychic typing felt a bit too "oracle of Delphi" to me. This new version is specifically more of a spellcaster, a true witch of the era.

:sv/Glastrier:
Original Pokemon: Glastrier
New Pokemon: Dextrier (dexterity + destrier, see below)
Era: Medieval
Type: Ice / Fighting
Abilities: Chilling Neigh
Stats: 90 / 125 / 90 / 75 / 80 / 120 [BST 580] (HP - 20, Atk - 20, Def - 40, Sp. Atk + 10, Sp. Def - 30, Speed + 90)
Move Changes:

Role: Fast physical Ice type, good at hitting the opponent before they hit you.
Era Justification: Both Glastrier and Spectrier are partially named after the destrier, a common breed of warhorse in the middle ages. This new version of Glastrier continues to be an ice-cold horse on the battlefield, but this time isn't just a slow block of ice.

:sv/Lucario:
Original Pokemon: Lucario
New Pokemon: Itzamario
Era: Present Day
Type: Normal/Fighting
Abilities: Scrappy / Inner Focus / Powered Up
Stats: 75 / 100 / 80 / 100 / 80 / 90 [BST 525] (HP + 5, Atk - 10, Def + 10, Sp. Atk - 15, Sp. Def + 10, Speed + 0)
The user's primary type changes to the type of the move in its first slot.
Move Changes:

- All Steel moves, All Pulse moves, Bite, Crunch, Extreme Speed, Nasty Plot, Poison Jab, Psychic, Shadow Claw, Shadow Ball, Swords Dance, Thunder Punch, Trailblaze, Zen Headbutt
Role: Strong mixed attacker with various potential sets.
Era Justification: It's a me, Mario! Wahoo! This Pokemon is totally not Nintendo's mascot. Its movepool just happens to reference a lot of Mario powerups, including the Fire Flower, Ice Flower, and FLUDD pack.

:sv/Goodra-Hisui:
Original Pokemon: Goodra-Hisui
New Pokemon: Googleplex
Era: Present Day
Type: Steel / Psychic
Abilities: Technician / Synchronize / Search Results
Stats: 80 / 100 / 100 / 160 / 100 / 60 [BST 600] (+50 Sp. Atk, -50 Sp. Def)
On switch-in, this Pokemon identifies the held items of all opposing Pokemon. This Pokemon's attacks that are not very effective on a target deal 1.5x damage if their held item has been revealed or consumed.
Move Changes:
+ Amnesia, Charge, Charge Beam, Confusion, Copycat, Dark Pulse, Dazzling Gleam, Disable, Disarming Voice, Discharge, Doom Desire, Eerie Impulse, Energy Ball, Expanding Force, Explosion, Flatter, Focus Blast, Future Sight, Gravity, Haze, Helping Hand, Hypnosis, Iron Defense, Imprison, Light Screen, Magnet Rise, Mega Drain, Mirror Coat, Parabolic Charge, Power Gem, Psybeam, Psychic, Psychic Terrain, Psyshock, Reflect, Round, Self-Destruct, Shadow Ball, Shock Wave, Simple Beam, Smart Strike, Smack Down, Smokescreen, Solar Beam, Spark, Spin Out, Stored Power, Swift, Teleport, Thief, Torment, Trailblaze, Tri Attack, Trick, Trick Room, Twin Beam, Wild Charge, Wonder Room, Zap Cannon, Zen Headbutt
- All Dragon-type moves (except Outrage), all Fire-type moves, all Water-type moves, all Ice-type moves, all Poison-type moves, Shelter
Role: Slow but strong special attacker.
Era Justification: Oh look, a giant conglomerate here to make your day miserable. Ask it any question and it can find what you are looking for.

:sv/Seviper:
Pokemon: Wyviper
Era: Medieval
Type: Dragon/Flying
Abilities:
Shed Skin | Regenerator
Stats: 93/110/70/20/105/60 (458) (+10 HP, +10 Atk, +10 Def, -80 SpAtk, +45 SpDef, -5 Spd)
Move Changes: +Dragon Hammer, Dragon Claw, Outrage, Dragon Ascent, U-Turn, Recover, Twister, Wing Attack, Hurricane, Air Slash
Role: Regen mon, with a good defensive type, can serve as an offensive pivot with its decent Atk and SpDef stat, and its access to Recover and U-Turn, or can work as an utility mon with Taunt, U-Turn, Toxic, Haze, Glare and Knock Off, or an offensive setup sweeper with Coil or SD + Trailblaze, and its good coverage with PJab, Crunch, PsyFangs and EQ, and good STABs in Dragon Hammer + Dragon Ascent, all while adding a Flying type to Medieval, which is very appreciated due to it having 3 Steel types, with 2 weak to Ground and no Ground resist, it also appreciates support from Kingambit due to Intimidate support softening is weakness of its low physdef, its also balanced by being very slow, and having a low BST, which does hurt its efficiency at all of the aftermentioned roles
Era Justification: Its a wyvern! Wyverns are basically dragons, which were a very popular myth in the medieval era

:sv/Palossand:
Pokemon: Palosslime
Era: Medieval

Type: Ground/Poison
Abilities:
Gooey/Water Compaction | Liquid Ooze
Stats: 130/30/80/115/85/40 (480) (+45 HP, -45 Atk, -30 Def, +15 SpAtk, +10 SpDef, +5 Spd)

Move Changes: +Sludge Wave, Nasty Plot, Toxic, Poison Jab, Sludge, Toxic Spikes, Venoshock
Role: Bulky special attacker, medieval doesnt currently have a special attacker, nor Ground type nor Poison type, has good STABs in Earth Power and Sludge Wave, coverage in Shadow Ball, Psychic and Energy Ball, Shore Up to heal, utility in Trick, Nasty Plot to make its attacks stronger, Stealth Rock and Toxic Spikes to give hazard support to its teammates, and a good defensive type, balanced by a low Spd, lack of a very useful ability and kinda mid offensive type
Era Justification: Its a slime! Common enemies in rpgs set in medieval times that absorb anything on their path, including dirt and rubble, and melt them away with their bodies composed of acid

:sv/Poliwrath:
Pokemon: Oniwrath
Era: Medieval
Type: Fire/Fighting
Abilities:
Anger Point/Flash Fire | Wrathful
When targeted by a status move, +1 Atk
Stats: 70/102/70/62/79/121 (510)
Move Changes: +Flare Blitz, Blazing Torque, Fire Punch, Fire Blast, Flamethrower, Ember, Flame Wheel, Will-o-Wisp, Sunny Day, U-Turn
-Surf, Waterfall, Liquidation, Hydro Pump, Chilling Water, Water Pulse, Bubble Beam, Water Gun, Rain Dance, Bulk Up, Belly Drum
Role: Fast phys wallbreaker, with access to an ability to boost its kinda mid Atk if targeted by a status move, which since most mons on medieval are weak to them due to being slow, helps a lot to scare off opponents from trying to spam status moves on them, also has a good movepool with good STABs in Flare Blitz/Blazing Torque and Close Combat, U-Turn to pivot, coverage in Earthquake, Poison Jab, Knock Off, Ice Punch and Rock Slide, balanced out by its already mentioned kinda mid Atk and weak defenses
Era Justification: Oni are japanese folklore demons, and japan was starting to be formed in medieval times

:sv/Heracross:
Pokemon: Heradoze
Era: Present Day
Type:
Ground/Fighting
Abilities:
Mold Breaker/Heavy Metal | Light Metal
Stats: 100/125/85/40/100/50 (500)
Move Changes:
+Headlong Rush, Earth Power, Mud Slap, Mud Shot, U-Turn
-Swords Dance, Rock Blast, Rock Tomb, Rock Slide, Stone Edge
Role: Very strong phys wallbreaker, with 125 Atk STAB Headlong Rush and Close Combat its incredibly strong, it also has decent defenses, paired with its type and U-Turn makes this also a very strong pivot, it also has decent coverage in Megahorn, Knock Off, and Shadow Claw, can do some setup with Bulk Up, and its able to set Spikes, it can also hit Levitate mons with its Ground type moves with Mold Breaker, balanced by its unability to hit Flying types superefectively and its very low Spd
Era Justification: Its a bulldozer! A vehicle used for the construction of buildings

:sv/Goodra:
Pokemon: Legodra
Era: Present Day
Type:
Fairy
Abilities: Friend Guard/Clear Body | Brick Carpet
When an opposing Pokemon switches in when the user is on the field, gets damaged by 1/8 of its hp, works as a layer of Spikes (Flying-type, Levitate and HDB mons are inmune, etc)
Stats: 100/105/90/105/95/105 (600) (+10 HP, +5 Atk, +20 Def, -5 SpAtk, -55 SpDef, +25 Spd)
Move Changes:
+Moonblast, Dazzling Gleam, Magical Torque, Play Rough, Misty Explosion, Fairy Wind
-Thunderbolt, Thunder, Draco Meteor, Knock Off, Thunder Punch, Outrage, Earthquake
Role: Mixed attacker, we currently dont have a Fairy type in Present Day, Legodra hasa plethora of coverage in Ice Beam/Ice Punch, Hydro Pump/Aqua Tail, Flamethrower/Fire Blast/Fire Punch, Dragon Pulse/Dragon Claw and Sludge Bomb, good bulk and speed, decent defensive type but it hurts it only having one STAB, even when its Fairy type, which is a strong type, and has strong STABs in Moonblast/Magical Torque, and an amazing ability in Brick Carpet, which when the opponent is grounded and doesnt have hdb, takes damage when switching in, and since its offensive stats are kinda mid, with no way to boost itself, it helps i quite a bit
Era Justification: Goodra but made of legos

Original Pokemon: Barbaracle
Eramon: Bargoosicle

+Defog, Roost, Brave Bird, Acrobatics, Hurricane, Air Slash, Wing Attack, Air Cutter, Drill Peck, Fly, Pluck
-Rock Moves, Shell Smash, X-Scissor
Role: Hazard Removal (Defog), Set-Up Sweeper (Swords Dance)
Era Justification: Barbaracle is probably based on the goose barnacle, so this Eramon is based on the Barnacle Goose myth of the Middle Ages. People really didn't know about the migration of birds at the time so they made the assumptions that the geese they were seeing came from barnacles.
