Encore + Disable (Ninetales-Alola) @ Leftovers
Ability: Snow Warning
EVs: 216 HP / 40 Def / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Protect
- Encore
- Disable
- Moonblast

[SET COMMENTS]

* Protect, Encore, and Disable are all used in conjunction to shut down slower foes and make them Struggle twice, while Moonblast provides the remaining damage. Encore also can be used to lock foes into status moves.
* Generally, Protect is used on turn 1. In response to a foe's move, Encore can be used to continually lock it into a status move and slowly KO it with Moonblast . Encore can also lock the foe into a relatively weak attacking move ; Alolan Ninetalescan then use Protect into Disable into Encore again to force the foe to take two turns of Struggle.
*Alternatively after using Protect on turn 1 , Disable can be used on a Choice-locked Pokemon or a potentially dangerous move from a non-Choice-locked Pokemon. If the foe used that move again , Encore can be used right away, but if it used a different move, Protect is used again on turn 3, then Encore, then Protect, then Disable, and then Encore to then trigger two turns of Struggle.
*If additional damage is needed, Moonblast can also be used on turn 2 assuming the foe will swap moves to avoid Disable.
* Moonblast does the most damage after the foe's Struggle damage and has the added bonus of being able to KO Urshifu-S, which would otherwise bypass Protect thanks to its ability.
* Leftovers provides passive healing over multiple turns, which lets Alolan Ninetales survive multiple hits and Struggles.
* Maximum Speed lets Alolan Ninetales beat many slower Pokemon thanks to Encore and Disable while also Speed tying non-Speed Booster Walking Wake. Its HP investment allows Alolan Ninetales to survive unboosted Sylveon's Hyper Beam, and the Defense investment gives it good odds to survive Choice Scarf Great Tusk's Head Smash.
* Alolan Ninetales struggles with faster Pokemon like Choice Scarf Haxorus and Choice Scarf Porygon-Z so it pairs well with bulky Pokemon that are able to survive hits from these foes, such as Metagross.
* Alolan Ninetales also struggles with Pokemon that run multiple powerful moves that it can't survive, like Metagross, Skeledirge, and Life Orb Porygon-Z, and naturally pairs well with Pokemon like Urshifu-S and Ursaluna.

Call it "Encore + Disable" to match with the Iron Valiant set

HP investment lives unboosted Sylveon
Small thing, but make it clear that its specifically Hyper Beam

* Generally, Protect is used on turn 1. Then depending on what the opponent used, Ninetales-A can respond by either: using Encore to continually lock them into a status move and slowly KOing them with Moonblast, using Encore into Protect into Disable and then into Encore again to lock them in to a weak move before disabling it and forcing them into two turns of Struggle, using Disable on a choice-locked Pokemon, or Disable on a potentially dangerous move from a non-choice locked Pokemon, followed by encore if the opponent had chosen to click that move again on the prior turn, or by using Protect on turn 3, then Encore then Protect then Disable then Encore to then trigger two turns of Struggle.
Try to rewrite this into multiple sentences. As it is right now it is very hard to read and comprehend.

* Ninetales-A also struggles with Pokemon that run multiple powerful moves that it can't bulk like Air Balloon Heatran, so it naturally pairs well with Water- and Fighting-types like Primarina.
Try to include more examples here, like Metagross and Iron Crown for the first part and Urshifu and Ogerpon-W for the second.

I want to take a second look before stamping, lmk when you're ready for another look

Mention some Pokemon Moonblast hits super effectively (biggest thing is the Urshifus b/c their ability) and talk about why it is running Leftovers

* Max Speed lets Ninetales-A beat many slower Pokemon thanks to Encore and Disable while also matching non-Speed Booster Walking Wake. (up to you but idr like the explicit mention of timid spa booster wake seems a bit too much like its still a speed tie so u can just be general about it like overall speed or find a diff example for max speed)HP investment lives unboosted Sylveon's Hyper Beam, and the Defense investment gives Ninetales-A good odds to live a Choice Scarf Great Tusk's Head Smash. (i dont like scarf tusk head smash mention as it is niche so either find a diff example or just be general about it like helps vs struggle damage / overall bulk etc)
* Protect, Encore, and Disable are all used in conjunction to shut down slower opponents and make them Struggle twice,(can u reword this to include encore locking them into a status move to chip with moonblast OR you can write something like the main strategy of Encore + Disable is...) while Moonblast picks up the remaining damage.
* Generally, Protect is used on turn 1. In response to an opponent's move, Encore can be used continually lock them into a status move and slowly KOing them with Moonblast, or by locking them into a relatively weak attacking move. If locked into a weak move, Ninetales-A can then Protect into Disable and then into Encore again to force them into two turns of Struggle.
*Alternatively after turn 1 Protect, Disable can be used on a choice-locked Pokemon, or (u have an extra space here)on a potentially dangerous move from a non-choice locked Pokemon. If the opponent had chosen to click that move again anyways, Encore can be used right away, but if they used a different move, Protect is used again on turn 3, then Encore then Protect then Disable then Encore to then trigger two turns of Struggle.
(say something about moonblast t2 vs some mons that click a weaker move t2 fearing disable)
* Moonblast is the strongest STAB of choice to do the most damage after the opponent's Struggle damage and has the added bonus of being able to KO Urshifu who might otherwise bypass Protect thanks to its typing.
* Leftovers provides passive healing over multiple turns which lets Ninetales-A live multiple hits and Struggles.
* Ninetales-A struggles with fast(er) Pokemon like Scarf Haxorus or Scarf Porygon-Z so it pairs well with extra bulky Pokemon that are able to live these hits (such as) Metagross.
* Ninetales-A also struggles with Pokemon that run multiple powerful moves that it can't bulk like Air Balloon Heatran (dont like this mention, try again) or Metagross, so it naturally pairs well with Water- and Fighting-types like Primarina and Ushifu. (can be a bit confusing since u write water and fighting so the reader may get confused abt which shifu form u are talkina about + i dont like prim here, i think remove the prim and water type mention then try again with a diff type and mon)
