El Poder (UU Team)

This team has peaked 15 on Smogon PO server, and 12 on Pokemon Showdown, would of gone further on Pokemon Showdown, but the ladder mess up.

Elvin Gadd (Flygon) (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Outrage
- Fire Punch
- U-turn

What is there to say about flygon? Easily one of the best Scouts in UU. This team was based around my want to use flygon as one of my pokes. Flygon may not hit hard, but he is a good revenge killer, and scout. I chose fire punch over Stone edge because not many people see it coming, being slightly more powerful it helps kill things of like shaymin and roserade, which U-Turn wouldn't, fire punch is also helpful when going against bronzong. Other than that, its a just your standard scarf flygon set.

Ikazinu (Raikou) @ Leftovers
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 128 HP / 76 Def / 54 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Substitute
- Calm Mind
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]

Along with Flygon, Raikou was a poke I really wanted to use, and well why not, he's a monster. Just your standard Sub/CM raikou set, nothing special, when it gets set up, the thing is going to kill something, only a few things raikou has problems with, Snorlax who's Body Slam and EQ will break everytime, and if Bronzong comes in and has EQ before raikou can get set up, it is a slight problem as well. Swampert renders raikou almost useless, the only thing to hit it is HP Ice, which doesn't do a whole lot. But, more on those later.

EMT (Rotom-H) @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 120 HP / 252 SAtk / 136 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Will-O-Wisp
- Overheat
- Volt Switch
- Pain Split

Rotom-H, the answer to the bronzong problem. I have volt switch over thunderbolt to help bluff scarf a little, and I think its a better choice for after you've fired off an overheat, a little extra damage over a hard switch. Will-O-Wisp to soften up things and help with physical attackers. Because of Pain split, I don't have to worry to much about having a spinner, as Rotom is the only thing weak to SR on this team.

Roserade_by_Naraku301.png

Dat Hot Chic (Roserade) (F) @ Black Sludge
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 120 Def / 136 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Spikes
- Giga Drain
- Sludge Bomb
- Rest

This set is so trolly. Rest + Natural Cure and Giga help keep me at full HP almost all the time. Spikes to help get damage on no flying/levitate switch ins, this set works amazingly well with Crocune, who is the next member on my team. I personally prefer having Sluge Bomb over HP fire. Giga is also the answer to swampert.

Suicune_by_Xous54.png

NorthernWind (Suicune) @ Leftovers
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Scald
- Roar
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

Oh, Crocune. Scald + Roar is the prefect set to be running, especially with Roserade setting up spikes. This helps soften things up like Snorlax and Umbreon who normally would be able to take hits very well from most of these pokes.

sharpedo.jpg

Excision (Sharpedo) (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Speed Boost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Protect
- Waterfall
- Crunch
- Earthquake

Sharpedo, is a monster. There is really nothing else to say. This thing has saved me so many times, its usually able to take out most things like umbreon and snorlax after switch ins on spikes. The perfect late game sweeper if I can't find time to get Raikou in and set up with him.
