[SET COMMENTS]
This Duraludon set focuses on beating many of the metagame's most prominent threats: Dynamax Mimikyu, Gyarados, Dragapult, and Rotom-W. Dynamax removes all the drawbacks of its moves and allows Duraludon to trade favorably with the above metagame threats, as Max Steelspike or the base move Steel Beam OHKOes Dynamax Mimikyu. Draco Meteor provides Duraludon with a solid STAB move to hit-and-run with in regular form, specifically targeting Dragapult and Rotom-W. Thunder may seem risky, but it allows Max Lightning to OHKO Dynamax Gyarados almost every time. Thunderbolt misses out on the KO, but allows Duraludon to more reliably target Gyarados and Corviknight without Dynamax. Rock Tomb as the final move helps this Duraludon outspeed a -1 Mimikyu. However, Flash Cannon can give Duraludon some consistency with a no-drawback STAB move. Alternatively, Solar Beam allows Duraludon to hit Gastrodon and Rotom-W harder.
Assault Vest patches up Duraludon's pitiful Special Defense, notably letting it take on special Dragapult and Rotom-W better. Weakness Policy and Shuca Berry on the other hand accept that its Special Defense will always be terrible, and instead focus on its great physical Defense, letting Duraludon take on Earthquake users. 252 SpA EVs with a Modest nature allow Duraludon to deal as much damage as possible, most notably OHKOing Dynamax Gyarados with Max Lightning. The recommended Speed investment allows Duraludon to outspeed -1 max Speed Jolly Mimikyu. Its bulk allows it to survive two Dragon Darts on the physical side and minimizes the chance that Gengar can OHKO Duraludon with Focus Blast through the Assault Vest on the special side. All its abilities are low-impact, but Light Metal can reduce damage taken from Low Kick and Grass Knot.
As Steel Beam, Draco Meteor, and Thunder come with severe downsides, Duraludon loses most of its viability when it is unable to Dynamax or if Dynamax runs out. This means that Duraludon struggles against defensive teams that can easily pivot around its attacks and waste its Dynamax. In addition, Duraludon has no access to Fire-type moves, leaving it wide open to Steel-types that resist Thunderbolt such as Ferrothorn and Excadrill. Specially offensive Pokemon like Gengar and Rotom-H generally trade favorably even against Assault Vest Duraludon.
