[SET COMMENTS]
  • Dugtrio functions as a valuable revenge killer and trapper for Miraidon, being able to OHKO it with a bit of chip damage or Tera Ground.
  • Dugtrio can trap other threats, most notably Chi-Yu but also Iron Bundle without Electric Terrain, Choice Band Chien-Pao not using Ice Shard, Iron Treads, Toxapex, Clodsire, and Blissey.
  • Stealth Rock can be used to quickly set up entry hazards should Dugtrio's trapping abilities no longer be required.
  • Memento will greatly weaken the offensive abilities of whatever is on the field, allowing Dugtrio's teammates to set up. It can also be used in cases where Dugtrio cannot KO a boosting threat.
  • As Dugtrio often forces a reactionary Terastallization from the opponent, Tera Ground is chosen for the extra power in general, and for taking out non-Terastallized Miraidon from full health.
  • Tera Fairy is an alternative option, as Fairy Tera Blast can take out Koraidon and weakened Great Tusk. Fairy's resistances can be useful against Sucker Punch Kingambit as well as Miraidon and Koraidon Choice-locked into a Dragon-type move.
  • Sucker Punch can be helpful damage in a pinch against weakened faster threats like Life Orb Flutter Mane in sun.
  • The given EVs allow Dugtrio to always survive a -2 Draco Meteor from Miraidon and outspeed +1 base 100 Speed Pokemon such as Chi-Yu.
  • Take care when trapping Miraidon, as Terastallizing to a type other than Electric allows it to take an Earthquake it would otherwise faint to.
  • Dugtrio should only be used on team archetypes that are designed to excel once Miraidon and Chi-Yu are eliminated, particularly bulkier teams that appreciate the aforementioned wallbreakers being gone.
  • Miraidon itself works as a fantastic teammate, as it doesn't have to worry about opposing Miraidon revenge killing it, and Dugtrio trapping Iron Treads, Clodsire, and Blissey makes sweeping much easier.
  • Corviknight is a fantastic partner for taking on Chien-Pao and letting Dugtrio come in on Miraidon with U-turn.
  • RestTalk Dondozo is another great teammate, as Curse makes it extremely hard to stop once Miraidon is eliminated, and it checks a myriad of offensive threats that Dugtrio struggles against like Koraidon, Chien-Pao, and Palafin.
  • Dugtrio cannot always check Miraidon by itself, so Pokemon like Ting-Lu, Iron Treads, and Clodsire are highly recommended. These Pokemon can also set entry hazards, which makes Dugtrio's job significantly easier.

Maybe specify what team archetypes need this best, usually it's the fatter ones since chi yu can run through those otherwise

As Dugtrio often forces a reactionary Terastallation from the opponent, Tera Ground is chosen for the extra power in general and for taking out Miraidon without chip damage.
I think this can be cleaned up a bit or just have the points rearranged. Saying it forces reactionary tera then saying it can OHKO Miraidon might be a bit misleading for someone reading, and they may think it can take out a miraidon that has tera fairy'd or something similar.

Good otherwise, no complaints

  • Dugtrio functions as a valuable revenge killer and trapper for, viable trapper and revenge killer of Miraidon (overselling it + it's a trapper first and 4most) and its is able to OHKO it with a bit of chip damage or Tera Ground.
  • Dugtrio can trap other threats, most notably Chi-Yu, but also Iron Bundle without terrain, Choice Band Chien-Pao not using running Ice Shard, Iron Treads, Toxapex, Clodsire, and Blissey.
  • Stealth Rock can be used to quickly set up entry hazards should Dugtrio's trapping abilities no longer be required.
  • Memento will greatly weakened the offensive abilities of whatever is on the field, allowing Dugtrio's teammates to set up. It can also be used in cases where Dugtrio cannot KO a boosting threat.
  • As Dugtrio often forces a reactionary Terastallation from the opponent, Tera Ground is chosen for the extra power in general, and for taking out Miraidon which isn't Terastallized without chip damage. (this is kinda fluff imo and can go; if they defensively Tera there's nothing you can do at that point + you say Tera Ground kills Miraidon in the first sentence)
  • Tera Fairy is an alternative option, as Fairy Tera Blast can take out Koraidon and weakened Great Tusk. Fairy's resistances can be useful against Sucker Punch Kingambit and Chien-Pao as well as Miraidon and Koraidon choice-locked into a Dragon-type move.
  • Sucker Punch can be helpful damage in a pinch against weakened faster threats like Life Orb Flutter Mane in sun.
  • The given EVs are used so that Dugtrio will always live a -2 Draco Meteor from Miraidon and outspeed +1 base 100 Speed Pokemon such as Chi-Yu.
  • Take care when trapping Miraidon, as a Miraidon Terastallizing to a type other than Electric can live an Earthquake it would otherwise faint to. (can also go)
