[OVERVIEW]

Drapion's main advantages lie in its excellent typing, letting it set up Swords Dance on common Pokemon like Sylveon, Vileplume, and Dhelmise while also being able to check wallbreakers like Decidueye and Silvally-Ghost. With its typing and coverage, it's also able to threaten out other popular Pokemon like Rotom-C and Dragalge. Despite being able to boost its Attack, though, it often falls short of OHKOing bulkier targets like Vaporeon, Weezing, and Mudsdale. Faster offensive Pokemon like Starmie, Flygon, and Aerodactyl also threaten it out with their powerful attacks.

[SET]
name: Swords Dance
move 1: Swords Dance
move 2: Knock Off
move 3: Poison Jab
move 4: Earthquake
item: Black Sludge / Shuca Berry
ability: Battle Armor
nature: Jolly
evs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Set Details
====

Earthquake hits Rock- and Poison-types like Diancie, Tyrantrum, and Dragalge. Black Sludge ensures Drapion's longevity and allows it to switch in repeatedly on resisted hits like Decidueye's Poltergeist and Salazzle's Sludge Bomb. Black Sludge also makes common Trick users like Rotom-C and Zoroark think twice. A Shuca Berry can be used for setting up in front of a Ground-type like Mudsdale or preventing Flygon and Aerodactyl from revenge killing Drapion.

Grass-types like Rotom-C and Decidueye can switch into the Ground-types Drapion struggles with and threaten them out. Fighting-types like Sirfetch'd and Passimian appreciate Drapion's ability to deal with Psychic- and Ghost-types. Drapion's ability to chip away at teams with Knock Off and Poison Jab paves the way for wallbreakers like Starmie and Sirfetch'd but also clears the way for faster Pokemon like Shell Smash Blastoise and Choice Scarf Rotom-C. Vaporeon is a great partner for Drapion, dealing with opposing Ground-types like Mudsdale and Flygon while supporting it with Wish and Heal Bell. Mudsdale can tackle opposing Poison-types like Salazzle and Dragalge while supporting Drapion with Stealth Rock.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
====

A support set with Toxic Spikes and Whirlwind can be used to disrupt and soften up the opposing team. However, grounded Poison-types are very common and the coverage that Earthquake offers is better in most circumstances.

Checks and Counters
====

**Ground-types**: Drapion has difficulties getting past bulky Ground-types like Mudsdale and Flygon. Offensive Flygon also outspeeds and threatens Drapion with Earthquake.

**Physically Bulky Pokemon**: Pokemon like Diancie, Vaporeon, and Arcanine can stomach a Poison Jab while scaring off Drapion with a Moonblast, Scald, or Will-O-Wisp, respectively. However, Diancie is vulnerable to Earthquake, while Vaporeon and Arcanine don't appreciate losing their item, especially the latter.

**Faster Attackers**: Faster Pokemon like Aerodactyl and Flygon force Drapion out with Earthquake. Salazzle and Starmie take advantage of Drapion's weaker Special Defense with Fire Blast and Hydro Pump, respectively.

[OVERVIEW]

Drapions main qualities lie in its excellent offensive and defensive typing, letting it set up Swords Dance on common Pokemon like Sylveon, Vileplume, (comma) and Decidueye Dhelmise while also being able to check wallbreakers like Dhelmise Decidueye and Golurk (Swap Decidueye and Dhelmise here. Dhel is often a wall rn and fits better with the other walls while Decidueye pairs with Golurk). With its above average speed typing and coverage, it's able to threaten out other popular Pokemon like Rotom-C and Galarian Articuno Dragalge (So Drapion's speed is ok but the examples you had here weren't the most fitting for the point. Rotom-C is often scarf anyways and G-cuno is a speed tie + too irrelevant for a general example. Instead, Drapion's typing + coverage allow it to force out offensive threats, also seen above with the Ghost-types, and I see that as more of an asset comparatively) Despite being able to boost its Attack, it often falls short at OHKOing bulkier targets like Vaporeon, Mudsdale, (Comma) and Gastrodon. Faster offensive Pokemon like Starmie, Flygon, (comma) and Aerodactyl threaten it out with either capitalizing on its less than average Special Defense like the former or forcing it out with a super effective (Fluff; we assume the reader understands type matchups, so we don't need to clarify that EQ is super effective on a Poison-type) Earthquake like the latter two.

Earthquake hits Rock- and Poison-types like Diancie, Tyrantrum, Salazzle, (comma) and Dragalge for super effective damage (Fluff; see above). Taunt is an option to prevent Vileplume from using Strength Sap (Is this sentence from an earlier set? Either way, Taunt should be OO or at least move it to the BotM as it's not a slash. Also include another phrase here on why Taunt is often inferior; can't capitalize on passive Pokemon like SD can). Black Sludge ensures Drapions longevity and makes common Trick users like Rotom-C and Zoroark think twice. A Shuca Berry can be used with the purpose of setting up in front of a Ground-type like Gastrodon or Mudsdale or prevent Flygon and Aerodactyl from revenge killing Drapion.

Grass-types like Rotom-C and Deciduye can switch into the Ground-types Drapion struggles with and threaten them out. (Removed extra period) Fighting-types like Sirfetch'd and Passimian appreciate Drapions ability to deal with Psychic- and Ghost-types. Drapion's ability to chip away teams with Knock Off and Poison Jab helps paving paves the way for faster wallbreakers like Starmie and Heliolisk.
(The teammate section is crisp but a little small. 1-2 more points would go a long way. I would mention that entry hazard support, which pairs well with Drapion's Knock Off, makes it more likely for it sweep checks like Diancie and Vaporeon. You could also mention walls / defensive pivots that sponge attacks from Drapion's revenge killers, especially considering the value of mid-game Knock Off before attempting to SD sweep / wallbreak. Golisipod works for both these points, for example)

QC 1/2! Remember that Smogon uses the Oxford comma in lists of three or more. I added that there for you. On that note, most of the ink here is formatting + explanations, but the teammate section was a little sparse and I think there's points about hazards + defense pivots that fit well to explain Drapion's niche. I'll still give you the QC as I aspect you'll have no problem filling in the blanks. Nice work!

Earthquake hits Rock- and Poison-types like Diancie, Tyrantrum, Salazzle, and Dragalge. Black Sludge ensures Drapion's longevity (maybe be more specific here and say the recovery is nice for letting Drapion utilize its defensive traits a bit more frequently?) and makes common Trick users like Rotom-C and Zoroark think twice. A Shuca Berry can be used with the purpose of setting up in front of a Ground-type like Gastrodon(rip) or Mudsdale or prevent Flygon and Aerodactyl from revenge killing Drapion.

Grass-types like Rotom-C and Decidueye can switch into the Ground-types Drapion struggles with and threaten them out. Fighting-types like Sirfetch'd and Passimian appreciate Drapion's ability to deal with Psychic- and Ghost-types. Drapion's ability to chip away teams with Knock Off and Poison Jab paves the way for faster wallbreakers like Starmie and Heliolisk. (you could honestly expand this to generically fast Pokemon that have an easier time cleaning as the result of Drapion crippling defensive foes with item loss and poison) Vaporeon is a great partner for Drapion, dealing with opposing Ground-types like Mudsdale and Flygon while supporting Drapion with Wish and Heal Bell. Mudsdale can tackle opposing Poison-types like Salazzle and Dragalge while supporting Drapion with Stealth Rock. The combination of Knock Off and the aforementioned entry hazard can break down opposing walls more rapidly. (cool, but what does that mean for Drapion)

**Faster Attackers**: Faster Pokemon like Aerodactyl and Flygon force Drapion out with Earthquake. Salazzle and Starmie take advantage of Drapion's weaker Special Defense with Fire Blast and Hydro Pump respectively.
