[SET COMMENTS]
Flapple's unique offensive typing, naturally high Attack stat, decent Speed stat, and acess to an amazing boosting move in Dragon Dance allow it to become one of PU's most devastating wallbreakers. Dragon Dance means Flapple is able to boost its damage output while also being able to outspeed common threats such as Charizard, Dachsbun, and Rotom-F. Sucker Punch can gives Flapple priority to finish off weakened foes. Tera Blast can be used with Tera Ground to threaten Steel-types such as Perrserker and Tinkatuff, which would otherwise counter Flapple. On Ripen sets, Flapple can opt for Arcobatics, giving it strong coverage into foes such as Gogoat, Crabominable, and Rabsca. Ripen is normally the preferred ability and should be ran with Sitrus Berry, as it allows Flapple to set up and regain HP on Pokemon such as Carbink and Raichu. However, Heavy-Duty Boots can be ran instead with Hustle for more immediate power. Flapple most commonly runs Tera Dragon, boosting its Outrage to incredible amounts of power, allowing it to OHKO or 2HKO the majority of the tier. Tera Ground gives Flapple a solid defensive typing, allowing it to block Volt Switch from Pokemon like Electrode and Raichu and should be ran with Tera Blast. Finally, Tera Steel gives Flapple a great defensive typing that can allow it to set up on foes it otherwise could not on such as Skuntank and Masquerain.
Flapple's primary struggles are often having issues with setting up safely and Steel-types walling Flapple sets without Tera Blast. Pivots such as Alolan Persian and Rotom-F can help get Flapple in safely to sweep. Alolan Persian is a particularly notable partner, as it can cripple threats that would normally be faster than Flapple even after a boost with Thunder Wave, such as Choice Scarf Skuntank and Lycanroc-N. Fire- and Ground-types such as Charizard and Alolan Dugtrio can check the Steel-types that otherwise give Flapple issues, such as Perrserker and Tinkatuff. In return, Flapple threatens out the defensive Water-types the Fire- and Ground-types would struggle with, such as Whiscash. Poison-types such as Skuntank and Swalot can absorb Toxic Spikes and check opposing Poison-types that cause issues for Flapple. Indeedee-F is also a notable partner, as it can use Healing Wish to heal Flapple back to max health and allow Flapple to be able to set up twice in the game. Spikes from Pokemon such as Carbink and Whiscash help wear down Steel-types for Flapple.
