[SET COMMENTS]
- Dragapult's niche comes from its unparalleled natural Speed, making it the fastest Pokemon in Ubers. This, in conjunction with Infiltrator, allows it to revenge kill every unboosted Pokemon in the metagame while ignoring Substitute and dual screens.
However, Dragapult is very weak by Ubers standards, provides almost no defensive utility to a team, and usually fails to fulfill its niche as a revenge killer due to the prevalence of Speed-boosting Quark Drive and Protosynthesis Pokemon in Ubers. - Hex becomes stronger than Shadow Ball when boosted by status; it should only be used with Will-O-Wisp or with Toxic Spikes support from Pokemon like Toxapex and Clodsire.
- Will-O-Wisp cripples common Dragapult switch-ins such as Ting-Lu, Toxapex, and Clodsire.
- Tera Ghost lets Dragapult 2HKO Toxapex with Shadow Ball and Clodsire with a boosted Hex; it also retains Dragapult's useful Fighting immunity while giving it a neutrality to Dragon- and Fairy-type attacks, letting it survive a Dragon Claw from Choice Scarf Koraidon in a pinch.
- Dragapult is a revenge killer best suited for bulky offense teams that can't afford to run frail Speed-boosting Pokemon.
- Strong wallbreakers like Choice Band Koraidon and Chien-Pao are recommended as teammates, as Dragapult lacks immediate breaking power. Defensive Pokemon like Ting-Lu, Toxapex, and Clodsire are also helpful, as they can setup Spikes or spread status to help Dragapult break more easily.

[SET COMMENTS]
- Dragapult is a good pivot in Ubers thanks to its high Speed stat and support moves like Will-O-Wisp and U-turn; its decent bulk also lets it switch into walls like Toxapex and Corviknight without fearing much, making it a surprisingly decent annoyance against bulkier teams.
- The given EVs allow for Dragon Darts to 2HKO Clodsire after Spikes damage.
- U-turn lets Dragapult pivot out of checks like Ting-Lu. Substitute can be used instead, easing prediction and allowing Dragapult to click Will-O-Wisp more freely.
- A boosted Hex will chip down every Dragapult check bar Blissey, making it potentially dangerous if entry hazards are up.
- Heavy-Duty Boots allows Dragapult to switch in without fear of entry hazards such as Spikes and Toxic Spikes. Leftovers is Dragapult's only form of recovery.
- Tera Ghost lets Dragapult 2HKO Corviknight with a boosted Hex after Stealth Rock damage while retaining its useful immunity to Fighting. Tera Dragon can be used instead, as it allows Dragapult to 2HKO Blissey, but it doesn't offer much outside of that; Dragon is also a bad defensive typing in Ubers.
- Pivot Dragapult is best suited for entry hazard-stacking teams, as these teams greatly appreciate Dragapult's ability to outspeed and keep in check various threats to them, such as Iron Bundle. Dragapult appreciates entry hazards weakening its checks in return.
- Pokemon that can spread status for Dragapult, such as Toxapex, Clodsire, and Skeledirge, also make good partners.
