Hey guys! Decided to come back to competitive because I really didn't like the meta in SM but this meta seemed a bit more interesting (other than Toxapex, Ferrothorn and Aegislash). Ever since I saw Dragapult from the leaks, I always thought that it's super adorable and I would want to build a comp team around it. What do you know, it happens to be one of the strongest mon in the scene right now. This team is built so that any one pokemon has the ability to be the sweeper.

Tessa (Dragapult) (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Dragon Darts
- Phantom Force
- Fire Blast

My Tessa is incredibly adorable, and she's also incredibly strong at the same time. With its movepool I really struggled with this pokemon. Usually I'm the kind of person who doesn't really like mixed sweepers because I'm kind of an optimizer. If I see either Attack or Special Attack is higher, I would choose only the higher type to use because I like maximizing the potential in their damage. It's kind of hard to do that with Dragapult because since its Attack is higher (and Dragon Darts is a physical move), I really wanted to go full Physical Sweeper. But after testing out Fire Blast and with the amount of Ferrothorns and Rain teams there are out there, Fire Blast just seemed like the better option compared to U-Turn or something (Max Flare to cancel rain). This is mainly my Dynamax sweeper with Phantom Force not really being a good move to just use.

Rena (Galvantula) (F) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Compound Eyes
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Volt Switch
- Thunder
- Sticky Web
- Bug Buzz

Outside of Dragapult and Barraskewda, my team isn't exactly the fastest team. The next fastest pokemon before adding Galvantula is Obstagoon with 317 speed. With this Hyper Offensive team, I decided to go Sticky Web. Rena is my lead pokemon with the webs. Her main job is to keep the Sticky Web out and sometimes even takes down pokemon with her Compound Eyes boosted Thunder. She allows my team to reach its full potential and move first every turn, taking down Scarfed Darmanitan and allowing Tessa to beat other Dragapults (without Clear Body).

Torbe (Excadrill) (M) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Iron Head

Torbe is my Rapid Spinner, and also what I think is a great complement to Tessa. Tessa checks all but one (Ground) of Torbe's weaknesses, while Torbe checks Fairy and Dragon types for Tessa. With Dragapult checking most of Excadrill's weaknesses, it usually allows Dragapult a chance to use DD in their switch if they don't have any other coverage moves against it. Rapid Spinning also gives Dragapult a bigger broom to sweep. In my opinion this two-man combo are the stars of my team.

Winona (Togekiss) (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Air Slash
- Nasty Plot
- Flamethrower
- Dazzling Gleam

Winona (definitely not inspired by the Flying-type gym leader from Hoenn, nope) the Togekiss is my Special Sweeper! One of the reasons why I'm using Sticky Web on this team. If Winona ever gets a chance to use Nasty Plot, pokemon caught in the web definitely will not have a good time. Sometimes I Dynamax Winona because Max Airstream is absolutely broken, especially when I have no webs up. With one Nasty Plot, getting speed while using a Max STAB move might just sweep the opponent's whole team. This is probably also why Moxie Gyarados is so broken and I hate it.

Gunthis (Obstagoon) (M) @ Flame Orb
Ability: Guts
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Knock Off
- Close Combat
- Facade
- Seed Bomb

Gunthis is just another physical sweeper on the team. His Normal-type allows me to switch onto him when maybe a Swords Danced Aegislash threatens my Tessa with a Shadow Sneak. Knock Off and Facade are classic STAB moves for a Guts Obstagoon. Close Combat is for possible Ferrothorn or Excadrill, and also if situation calls for it, it's a good move to Dynamax with to get some extra attack. Seed Bomb is an interesting one that I put in recently. I thought that Fairy types aren't really as threatening (at least to me I believe) as Rain teams in general. Rain teams with Seismitoad is really scary and sometimes I just can't deal with them without any grass type moves. So I removed Gunk shot with Seed Bomb, but really, let me know if I'm doing it wrong, but so far it's been working out okay. Also sort of a Sticky Web reliant pokemon with 317 speed. It's not the slowest pokemon, but it lets me outspeed pokemon like Gengar or even Dragapult.

Pinstro (Barraskewda) (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Aqua Jet
- Liquidation
- Close Combat
- Drill Run

Lastly, Pinstro the Barraskewda. Although it doesn't have the best defensive stats, I needed a good pokemon to fit this Hyper Offensive team that's resistant to Water and Ice types. There is almost no pokemon faster than Barraskewda since it's ranked #7 in speed including Zacian and Zamazenta. He also works good as a Revenge Killer on this team and has a wide variety of moves as coverage. Drill Run being able to beat Toxapex and Close Combat for Ferrothorn. Getting that damage in even if it doesn't kill them makes this pokemon as useful as it can be. With Pinstro's speed, I chose to Band it to give it the extra damage it could get. It has Swift Swim to somewhat "counter" Rain teams, and he's faster than other Swift Swim Barraskewda if Sticky Web is set up. In my opinion he's pretty amazing.

This team is still somewhat of a work in progress, but it struggles against Rain teams and Gyarados mainly. Otherwise it's a very skill-based matchup. Let me know what you think and thanks in advance!

Hey

I think Barraskewda would like Life Orb better. I like the fact of switching moves to weaken more things instead of a complete lock in, it's also just in case you use your Dynamax pokemon already. I don't think you need Jolly nature either since the point of your team is to have Sticky Web reduce speed of your opponents pokemon. So why not add a bit more power? Also did you know, if you dynamax and have something on your team (or Barraskewda) use a Water Attack and start the weather of rain, Adamant Barraskewda still outspeeds a Gyarados after it's used Dragon Dance 3 times??? Barraskewda is crazy

Cool looking offensive team!

Thanks for the feedback! The reason why I have Jolly nature on Barraskewda is because I don't want to be overly reliant on Sticky Web. It's like any weather team, where around half the team are not reliant on the weather but to complement the rest of the team. I just want a fast pokemon that can be out there screwing people up even if they Defogged or spun the web away. As for the Life Orb I think that makes a lot of sense and I would definitely test that. Thank you!

Laddering a bit I realized that dragapult is better for the special part, that's why I would put it specs:

Dragapult @ Choice Specs
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Shadow Ball
- Fire Blast
- Thunderbolt
- Draco Meteor

Now galvantula, a good sticky weebs setter but I would change Volt Switch and put Energy Ball for
not to get stuck with Seismitoad leads:

Galvantula @ Focus Sash
Ability: Compound Eyes
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Energy Ball
- Thunder
- Sticky Web
- Bug Buzz

And finally we have barraskewda, with a iregular moveset. That set struggles with jellicent and aqua jet dont make sense when is one of the fastest mons of the meta, use this set better:

Barraskewda @ Life Orb
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Close Combat
- Liquidation
- Crunch
- Poison Jab

I hope I have been helpful :)

Great team, I like it.
I agree with Xevara in most of his changes, I would add the fact that Obstagoon though it counters Aegislash in typing, it can’t play around King’s shield.
Maybe adding switchero instead of seed bomb would help it play around Aegislash and burn other Pokémon.
