Scizor @ Occa Berry
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Bullet Punch
- Bug Bite
- Superpower
Scizor is a classic OU powerhouse! Due to its powerful, Technician-boosted Bullet Punch, Scizor is capable of sweeping through teams and overpowering common foes like Tyranitar and Breloom. Bug Bite is Scizor's strongest Bug attack, hitting foes like Swampert, Metagross, and Jirachi quite hard after a Swords Dance boost. Superpower provides important coverage for Steel-types like Empoleon and Magnezone. Occa Berry allows Scizor to flip the script on would-be revenge killers like Jirachi and Magnezone that attempt to take it out with Fire-type coverage, tanking the super effective hit and hitting back hard with the appropriate attack. Scizor benefits greatly from Stealth Rock support from suicide leads like Metagross, Bronzong, and Azelf, as they cause important chip on Zapdos. Other sweepers like Dragon Dance Gyarados and Tyranitar and offensive Calm Mind Suicune appreciate Scizor weakening or outright KOing defensive foes like Skarmory and Zapdos while also breaking teams open for an eventual Scizor sweep. Pairing Scizor with Lucario or Dragonite results in a powerful priority-spam core that can sweep through teams without ever letting the opponent move first.
