The Crobat analysis has clear problems if you look at it. For example, theres a set with no comments which is a bit :\ And near the bottom there is a huge SET COMMENTS part, about a set which..isn't on the analysis. I have removed the "Brave Bird" set, and added a weather set.

[SET]
Name: Sleep Inducer
Move 1: Hypnosis
Move 2: Taunt
Move 3: U-turn / Roost
Move 4: Air Slash / Aerial Ace
Item: Leftovers
Nature: Timid / Jolly
EVs: 160 HP / 132 SpA / 216 Spe
[SET COMMENTS]

With one of the fastest Taunts in the game, Crobat makes an excellent lead, shutting down an opponents ability to inflict status, lay down stealth rock, or even taunt you themselves. Hypnosis accomplishes all this as well so long as your opponent's lead isnt holding a lum berry. Taunt used in tandem with Hypnosis also has the added benefit of shutting down any Sleep Talkers your opponent may switch in to deal with Crobat.

U-turn lets it get out and send in a counter, whilst getting in a light hit. Its defenses may not be stellar, but Roost is still a good option for recovering as an opponent locked into a Fighting or Bug attack is forced to switch. Beware of Roosting against Choice Band Earthquakes though. In the final slot, you have your choice of Flying STAB. Brave Bird and Hypnosis are illegal together, so you are restricted to the weaker options listed above. Air Slash feeds off the lower of its offensive stats, but has higher base power when compared with Aerial Ace, and comes with a handy 30% flinch rate.

The given EVs are designed to OHKO minimum HP Heracross with Air Slash. The Speed is set at 385 to outrun Jolly Weavile (Crobat hits a "magic" stat number, so adding 4 EVs at 383 Speed bumps it up by two points). If you opt for Aerial Ace, drop the Special Attack EVs, switch to a Jolly nature and put the leftover EVs into HP or Attack.

[SET]
Name: Brave Bat
Move 1: Brave Bird
Move 2: Roost
Move 3: Taunt
Move 4: U-turn / Substitute
Item: Leftovers
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 80 HP / 252 Atk / 176 Spe
[SET COMMENTS]

This set takes full advantage of Crobat's new toys in D/P and is a solid choice to lead any team. Brave Bird is vital to the set, as it gives Crobat a strong and reliable STAB attack. Taunt is gamebreaking on any lead with blazing Speed, and will allow Crobat to stop other pokemon from setting up or recovering. In fact, the combination of Taunt and Roost allows Crobat to come out on top against most walls. Roost helps cope with Brave Bird's recoil and Stealth Rock damage accumulated over the course of the battle and rids him of his Rock, Ice, and Electric weaknesses for the turn. The final slot is useful for scouting; U-Turn can get in a counter, and Substitute can buy Crobat an extra turn on predicted switches.

The EVs allow for 374 Speed to outrun base 120s, as a tie won't help Crobat beat Jolteon or Aerodactyl and Weavile commonly carries Ice Shard. Max attack gives Brave Bird quite a bit of power, and has a good chance at OHKOing min HP/min Def Gengar.

[SET]
Name: Special Sweeper
Move 1: Nasty Plot
Move 2: Air Slash
Move 3: Dark Pulse
Move 4: Hidden Power Ground
Item: Leftovers / Life Orb
Nature: Timid
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
[SET COMMENTS]

Nasty Plot with Crobat's high Speed means you can do some damage through the special side of the spectrum, especially with your boosted STAB Air Slash. Dark Pulse and Hidden Power Ground add some more coverage, and can do some serious damage should they hit for super-effective damage.

[SET]
Name: Choice Bat
Move 1: Brave Bird
Move 2: Cross Poison
Move 3: Pursuit
Move 4: U-turn
Item: Choice Band
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
[SET COMMENTS]

With its high speed and decent attack, Crobat can also work well with Choice Band. Brave Bird gives the speedy bat a strong STAB move that can cause pain, just watch out for the recoil. Cross Poison gives another STAB move, and can put a dent in the likes of Electivire and Jolteon. Pursuit means you can effectively "trap" certain Pokémon and deal huge damage as they switch out, namely Psychic types who think they can take on Crobat with their STAB moves. U-turn eases prediction and allows you to go to a counter, which helps when Steel-types appear, wanting to take your STAB moves.

[SET]
Name: Weather
Move 1: Rain Dance / Sunny Day
Move 2: Hypnosis
Move 3: U-turn
Move 4: Air Slash
Item: Damp Rock / Heat Rock
Nature: Timid
EVs: 160 HP / 132 SpA / 216 Spe
[SET COMMENTS]

Crobat also makes a fine choice to support your weather team. You can use Hypnosis to sleep a counter, as well as using it's free turns to setup the weather of your choice, which will last for 8 turns. Crobat can then U-turn out, dealing damage and breaking Focus Sashes on the way, and then go to a team mate that will utilize the choice of weather. This often puts you in a commanding situation, with your weather up, a Pokémon to take advantage of it, and hopefully one of the opponent's Pokémon asleep. Air Slash helps against the likes of Infernape and Heracross.

[Other Options]

Crobat doesn't have many more options. Poison Fang, Steel Wing, Bite and X-Scissor can be used, but are generally inferior. In the support category, there is the ever irritating Confuse Ray that Crobat uses supremely well thanks to its Speed, and Haze or Whirlwind to clear the field of stat boosts. Screech is a less direct approach to phazing an enemy, but it can work nicely with U-turn. Screech as they switch in, then U-turn out, hitting their now lowered Defense on the way. You can also use Mean Look in conjunction with U-Turn, switching to a counter that would enjoy a turn of free setup. Hidden Power Fighting is Crobat's best hope against Tyranitar and Weavile.

[EVs]

216 Speed EVs hit 385 Speed, which is the absolute minimum, though feel free to max it out if you want to take a risk and speed tie with Aerodactyl and Jolteon. Use a Timid nature if Crobat is using mostly special attacks, or Jolly for physical versions. If you're using Air Slash, then at least 128 Special Attack EVs are recommended to OHKO minimum HP Heracross.

[Opinion]

Having brilliant speed whilst learning both Hypnosis and U-turn makes Crobat a viable choice for any team, especially as a lead. With the addition of Brave Bird Crobat has more offensive power, although Crobat often struggles for coverage. With many handy resistances, most notably to Fighting and Bug, it can often come in easily on certain hits.

[Counters]

Zapdos is easily the best counter, most notably Sleep Talk sets, which absorb Hypnosis, and resist Crobat's primary Flying type attack, while being able to hurt Crobat through Thunderbolt or Hidden Power Ice. Zapdos may have a problem when Crobat U-turns too a counter though. Rock, Steel, and Ground type Pokémon also do especially well, like Tyranitar, Jirachi, Swampert, and most hit back for super-effective damage. RestTalk Metagross can also come in and will eventually win out against Crobat. Each set is counterable, you just have to figure out what set Crobat is running first. Stealth Rock will also put a dent in Crobat, which is always nice.
