Welcome to the Doubles OU EV Spread Compendium! This is a thread designed to help old and new players alike in choosing the optimal Effort Value spreads and Natures for the most effective Pokemon in Doubles OU.
More often than not, newer players use inefficient EV spreads for their Pokemon. It can vary from just clicking the Suggested Spread button in the teambuilder (which is almost always a terrible choice), or running random EVs to make oneself seem "competitive". A more experienced player may take an EV spread off of the SmogDex. While the QC team is indeed hard at work updating these spreads, Doubles OU is a rapidly changing metagame, and many spreads are no longer as effective as they were in the past. Here is where our thread comes in. This resource sets out to inform both new and experienced players of the most common or effective EV spreads for top-tier Pokemon, while simultaneously providing a thread where alternative, yet viable EV Spreads and Natures can be discussed.
This thread is sorted alphabetically, with the spreads for each individual Pokemon roughly in order of how common they are. The names of the Pokemon are colored based on their place in the Viability Rankings: Tier 1 Tier 1.5 Tier 2 Tier 3. If a particular item is needed to make the given spread relevant, its sprite is included to the left of the EVs. If no item sprite is shown, multiple different items may effectively accompany the given spread. The spreads can be fairly easily inserted into Pokemon Showdown by copying and pasting them, then deleting the | and hitting 'Enter' to move the Nature to the line below.
(Note: This thread is for EV Spreads ONLY. You do not need to include a moveset in your post, though you may mention it in the description, as the moveset will often help explain the reasoning behind your EVs.) The point of this thread is to note of effective EV spreads. Unique movesets belong in the Creative Sets thread.

How Contributing Works
In this thread, you may suggest EV Spreads and Natures for all Pokemon on the Doubles OU Viability Rankings. Any Pokemon not ranked will not be added to this compilation. If you wish to see the Pokemon sorted by Viability, you can check the Viability Rankings linked above and then come over to this thread looking for a specific Pokemon that interests you. If the Spread and Nature you are suggesting is not standard, you must provide rational reasoning for why these non-standard Spreads are viable and effective. You must also provide as of what the Spread does. Feel free to back your spread up with damage calculations or the speed of the Pokemon you are trying to check and counter. Please, however, do not suggest gimmicky or unviable Spreads in an attempt to create more sets for a Pokemon. Including additional spreads to speed creep these new EV spreads are also discouraged, as speed creeping has to end at some point.

Aegislash
Bulky Utility
252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD | Quiet or Modest Nature
- Max SpA has a chance to OHKO Kangaskhan at +2
- Otherwise doesn't hit any benchmarks
- Minimum Speed with a Quiet nature to avoid taking hits in Blade forme
EVs: 172 HP / 252 SpA / 84 Spe | Modest Nature
- Outspeeds base 111s under Tailwind, allowing it to check Mega Diancie and Thundurus
- Otherwise the same as other sets
Amoonguss
Bulky Rage Powder
EVs: 248 HP / 176 Def / 84 SpD | Relaxed Nature
- Lives Zen Headbutt from Mega Metagross
- Lives Adamant Mega Kangaskhan Fake Out + Return
- Rest in SpD
- Minimum speed to underspeed opponents in Trick Room
- Lives +1 Adamant Mega Kangaskhan Return
- Rest in SpD to live Modest Kyurem-B Ice Beam
- Lives Timid Mega Gardevoir Psychic
- Rest in Defense, so it also lives Latios Psyshock
- 80 EVs may be moved from Defense to SpD to live stronger Psychics from LO Latios and Modest Mega Gardevoir at the cost of some physical bulk
Azumarill
Megabus (Belly Drum Attacker)
- Max Attack for more sweeping power
- 252 HP ensures an even HP stat to activate Sitrus after a Belly Drum
- Brave > Adamant is an option for Trick Room teams
- If the team has Tailwind support, 60 Spe Azu outspeeds Mega Kangaskhan under TW while still having even HP. Alternatively, 164 Spe outspeeds base 110s under TW
Bisharp
All-Out Attacker
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe | Adamant Nature
- No specific benchmarks
- As much power as possible, then as much speed as possible
Mega Charizard Y
Wallbreaker
EVs: 248 HP / 64 Def / 88 SpA / 108 Spe | Modest Nature
- Lives Adamant Mega Kangaskhan Return
- Outspeeds max speed base 70 Pokemon
- Rest in SpA
- Focuses on hitting hard and fast
- Timid at least ties base 100 Speed Pokemon and outruns all Kyurem-B
- If outspeeding these is not necessary, Modest can be used instead
- Lives Landorus-T Rock Slide
- Usable both in and out of Trick Room
- Outspeeds neutral natured base 70s like Bisharp
- Only to be used with Overheat
- SpA guarantees that a sun-boosted Overheat will OHKO 4/0 Mega Kangaskhan
- 184+ Spe outspeeds non-Choice Scarf Landorus-T and Adamant Mega Kangaskhan
- In case Kangaskhan is Jolly, lives a Return from Jolly Mega Kangaskhan
EVs: 232 HP / 76 Def / 88 SpA / 112 SpD | Quiet Nature
- Lives Adamant Mega Kangaskhan Return
- Lives LO Thundurus Thunderbolt
- Rest dumped into SpA
- Lives +6 Azumarill Aqua Jet in the sun
- Lives Magnet Thundurus Thunderbolt
- Lives Adamant Mega Kangaskhan Double Edge
- OHKOes bulky Thundurus and 0/4 Mega Kangaskhan with Overheat
- If not running Overheat, 16 Spe EVs taken from SpA outspeeds Bisharp (with Modest)
- Still 2HKOs Kyurem-B with Heat Wave
- This version can also work outside of Trick Room, even with Tailwind support
Clefairy
Friend Guard Support
- Lives LO Bisharp Iron Head
- Rest in SpD to live Aegislash Flash Cannon
Cresselia
Calm Mind
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA | Relaxed Nature
- Maximizes physical bulk, as Cresselia will have plenty of special bulk after boosts
- 140 Speed EVs and a Bold nature allow Cresselia to click Moonlight against Bisharp
EVs: 240 HP / 16 Def / 212 SpA / 40 SpD | Sassy Nature
- Lives LO Bisharp Knock Off
- Lives two Gengar Shadow Balls without Sitrus Berry
- 2HKOes Relaxed Amoonguss with Psychic
Deoxys-A
Mixed Attacker
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe | Naive Nature
- Max Speed
- Rest into SpA to maximize the damage of Psycho Boost
- 48 Atk is usable to OHKO Hydreigon with Superpower
- Only to be used in conjunction with Knock Off
- 112 Atk ensures that Knock Off will OHKO Latios
- Outspeeds Adamant Scarf Lando-T
- Rest in SpA
Diancie
Trick Room Setter
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpA | Brave Nature
- Max Atk for power behind Diamond Storm
- Max HP since stat is low
- rest in SpA to boost Moonblast
- OHKOes Keldeo with Moonblast
- Max Atk for power behind Diamond Storm, stronger than even its Mega counterpart's
- Remaining EVs patch up Diancie's low HP stat
- Lives Landorus-T Earthquake
- Lives Mega Charizard Y Solar Beam
- 208+ SpA ensures that Weakness Policy-boosted Moonblast will OHKO Landorus-T
- Rest in Attack to power up Diamond Storm
Mega Diancie
Mixed Attacker
EVs: 208 Atk / 48 SpA / 252 Spe | Hasty Nature
- Max Speed to outspeed Keldeo and Terrakion, tie with Latios and Mega Metagross
- 48 SpA OHKOes Bisharp with Earth Power
- Rest in Attack to power up Diamond Storm
- Hasty is used because lowered Defense can be fixed by Diamond Storm boosts
- Naive Mega Diancie can be OHKOed by Earth Power from Heatran or Kyurem-B
- 2HKOes 4HP Mega Kangaskhan with Moonblast
- Otherwise the same as the above spread
Ferrothorn
Tank
