[OVERVIEW]

Diggersby holds a few notable niches within the 1v1 metagame, being a fast physical Normal-type Pokemon able to OHKO Pokemon that traditionally pose a threat to most Normal-types, like Tapu Lele, Kommo-o, and Meloetta, with Huge Power and a Choice item. Its Ground typing also allows it to stonewall most Zeraora, which traditionally serves as a counter to Normal-types. However, Diggersby's overall middling base stats betray it, leaving it unable to run setup or leave its Speed stat uninvested. Diggersby is therefore forced to choose between running a Choice Scarf to shore up its below average Speed, leaving it vulnerable to naturally bulky Pokemon, like Primarina, Kommo-o, and Tapu Fini, and going all in on Attack with a Choice Band, forfeiting any potential to outspeed and OHKO Pokemon like Mega Charizard Y and Greninja. It also faces competition from Slaking as a hyper offensive Normal-type; with its natural bulk and Speed, Slaking hits much harder with its Choice Band-boosted Giga Impact when compared to Choice Scarf Diggersby and is much more capable of tanking hits than Choice Band Diggersby.

Moves
========

Giga Impact is Diggersby's go-to STAB option, able to one-shot threats like Mega Gardevoir, Mega Charizard Y, Greninja, and potentially Pokemon like Serperior, depending on rolls. Earthquake is Diggersby's Ground-type STAB attack of choice, hitting Pokemon like Zeraora, Aegislash, and Grassium Z Heatran. Fire Punch can break down Steel-types that are hit neutrally by Earthquake, like Genesect, Kartana, Durant, Mega Scizor, and Ferrothorn. Gunk Shot can also be run in order to give Diggersby much better odds against Serperior and Tapu Fini. Ice Punch serves as a more reliable answer for Pokemon like Garchomp.

Set Details
========

The EVs are designed to maximize Attack and Speed, giving Diggersby the highest odds at beating Pokemon like bulky Mega Charizard X and Garchomp. Huge Power is run for this purpose as well, making Diggersby viable. The remaining 4 EVs are put into Special Defense in order to not lose to Download users like Choice Scarf Genesect. A Choice Scarf is run in order to outspeed Greninja, Naganadel, and Jumpluff. An Adamant nature should be run in order to consistently beat threats like Tapu Lele, Magearna, and Ferrothorn. However, Jolly is an option to catch speedier Pokemon like Mega Lopunny, Mega Gengar, and Modest Choice Scarf Porygon-Z off guard.

Usage Tips
========

The matchup against bulky Mega Charizard X is a coinflip, depending on whether or not you predict it to Mega Evolve or not. If you predict it to stay in its regular forme, use Giga Impact, and if you expect it to Mega Evolve to tank Giga Impact, use Earthquake. If one of Diggersby's more accurate coverage moves can also OHKO the opposing Pokemon, use it over Giga Impact, as this will circumvent any chance of losing due to a miss. Against Pokemon that threaten to beat Diggersby, use Ice Punch if that hits neutrally or super effectively, in order to fish for freezes. This is less than ideal, but it is the only way to win against Pokemon like Crustle, Meloetta, Aron, Kommo-o, and Mega Altaria. Despite it having access to Ice Punch, do not use Diggersby against Landorus-T and Zygarde-C, as Landorus-T will either tank an Ice Punch or outspeed it with its own Choice Scarf and OHKO back, and Zygarde will be able to KO Diggersby with Tectonic Rage followed by Extreme Speed or after using Coil. For the same reason, Mega Mawile and Incineroar should be avoided, as they can easily take an Earthquake after Intimidate and OHKO back with Metal Burst or Play Rough or Fake Out followed by Malicious Moonsault. Some other bulkier Pokemon will be able to shrug off damage dealt by Giga Impact or super effective damage, like Primarina, Celesteela, and Mega Aggron, and retaliate with their respective offensive options.

Team Options
========

Grass- and Electric-type Pokemon like Serperior, Tapu Bulu, Magnezone, and Zeraora are especially helpful partners of Diggersby, as they can deal with Diggersby's ineptitude against several common bulky Water-types, like Mega Gyarados, Primarina, and Mega Slowbro. In return, Diggersby deals with dangerous Fire-types like Mega Charizard X and Y, Victini, and Volcarona and dangerous Ground- and Steel-types like Garchomp and non-Counter Registeel. Diggersby will appreciate bulky Taunt users like Kommo-o, stall Deoxys-S, and Tapu Fini, which can break past stall or setup Pokemon that can take a few of Diggersby's hits, like Umbreon, Necrozma, Zygarde-C, Landorus-T, and Meloetta. Diggersby can aid these Pokemon by beating back faster and more offensive opposing Taunt users, like Mega Gardevoir, Tapu Lele, and Zeraora.

Moves

Giga Impact is Diggersby's go-to STAB option, able to one-shot threats like Kommo-o, Mega Altaria, Meloetta and Primarina. Earthquake hits Pokemon like Zeraora, Mega Metagross, and Magearna, as well as 2HKOing Tapunium Z Tapu Fini. Superpower is run in order to KO Heatran, Type: Null, and Umbreon. Fire Punch can be run in order to OHKO Mega Scizor and physically defensive Ferrothorn. Ice Punch is an option to beat Occa Berry Whimsicott and non-maximum Defense Zygarde-C and fish for potential freezes in unwinnable matchups. Foul Play can be run in order to lure in and OHKO Magnet Rise Mega Metagross.

Set Details
========

120 HP and 4 Special Defense EVs are run in order to always survive an Ice Punch from Mega Metagross and an Overheat from Heatran and to give Choice Scarf Genesect an Attack boost instead of Special Attack from Download. 196 Speed EVs enable Diggersby to always outspeed Magnezone, which could potentially 2HKO with Flash Cannon, as well as neutral-natured Volcanion and uninvested base 100 Speed Pokemon like Manaphy. 188 Attack EVs are run in order to maximize Diggersby's Attack as much as possible, granting it absurd matchups against some of the physically bulkiest Pokemon in the metagame, like Mega Altaria, Primarina, and Meloetta. Huge Power is run in order to double Diggersby's Attack, aided by Choice Band as well. Alternatively, a simple 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe set with an Adamant nature allows Diggersby to OHKO Waterium Z Tapu Fini and outspeed and OHKO niche threats like neutral-natured speedy Tapu Bulu.

Usage Tips
========

If one of Diggersby's coverage moves can OHKO the foe, use it over Giga Impact, as this will circumvent any chance of losing due to a miss. It is relevant to know that Choice Band Diggersby, as one of the most physically powerful attackers in 1v1, can win against foes that would normally be able to tank a neutral or even super effective hit from almost anything else, including bulky Mega Charizard X, Meloetta, Kommo-o, Primarina, Tapu Fini, Mega Altaria, Clefable, maximum Defense Hoopa-U, and almost always Mega Swampert. These are all threats you can lure in, as they will be expecting Choice Scarf. Physically defensive Tapunium Z Tapu Fini is not consistently OHKOed by Giga Impact, so instead use Earthquake to 2HKO.

Team Options
========

Diggersby is deathly weak to basically any faster offensive threat, like Dragonite, Mega Gyarados, Mega Charizard X and Y, Greninja, and Porygon-Z, as well as Pokemon like Smeargle and Jumpluff, whose strategies rely on putting an opponent to sleep first, then stalling with Leech Seed. Therefore, stall users that can set up against their defenses and mitigate sleep strategies, like Type: Null, Mega Slowbro, Mega Sableye, Mega Audino, and Deoxys-S, act as reasonable support for Diggersby. They in return appreciate Diggersby's ability to annihilate common Taunt attackers, like Kommo-o, Mega Mawile, and Tapu Fini, as well as Pokemon like Incineroar, Meloetta, and Aegislash, which all have strategies that can ignore stat boosts. Outside of Magnezone, Sturdy Pokemon like Donphan, Golem, and Carracosta will threaten Diggersby, as it will be unable to break them fast enough due to their innate ability. To threaten these Pokemon, bulky Water-types like Mega Gyarados, Primarina, and Tapu Fini can be run, alongside some other faster threats like Mega Charizard X and Y, Greninja, Dragonite, and Mega Lopunny. In return, they appreciate Diggersby's positive matchup against Electric- and Grass-types like Zeraora, Magnezone, Ferrothorn, and bulky Tapu Bulu, as well as opposing Primarina and Tapu Fini, and certain bulky Pokemon like Meloetta and defensive Hoopa-U.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Diggersby has no viable other options.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Sturdy Users**: Diggersby will struggle against most Pokemon it cannot OHKO, and thus most Sturdy users have ways to work around Diggersby, be it hyper offense of their own, setup, Counter, Metal Burst, or priority, or a combination of these. Do not send Diggersby against Donphan, Golem, Aggron, Carracosta, Sawk, and Avalugg. Endure Porygon-Z should also not be considered a reliable win, for similar reasoning.

**Faster Pokemon**: Pokemon that can naturally outspeed Diggersby even after Choice Scarf will make quick work of it, and thus Diggersby should not go up against Mega Lopunny, Choice Band Zeraora, Pheromosa, Haxorus, Mega Blaziken, and Choice Scarf Porygon-Z and Tapu Lele. Running a Jolly nature can clean up a few of these, but not all.

**Physically Defensive Bulky Pokemon**: Pokemon that can tank an attack from Diggersby will usually win. Do not use Diggersby against Mega Gyarados, Zygarde-C, Dragonite, Mega Slowbro, Mega Venusaur, Mega Sableye, and Kee Berry Mew. It should also be noted that Intimidate users like Landorus-T, Mega Mawile, and Krookodile are deceptively bulky and can easily tank super effective hits from the Choice Scarf variant.

  • Diggersby holds a few notable niches within the 1v1 metagame, being a fast physical Normal-type Pokemon after boosted with Choice Scarf with the offensive capabilities to OHKO Pokemon like Tapu Lele and Mega Tyranitar, who traditionally pose a threat to the majority of Normal-types.
  • It's Ground-typing also allows it to stonewall most Zeraora, which traditionally serves as a check-all to Normal-types.
  • This all comes to a head with its access to Huge Power, doubling its otherwise-unviable Attack stat, giving it the potential to OHKO Pokemon like Tapu Lele and Meloetta Porygon-Z. 252+ Atk Huge Power Diggersby Giga Impact vs. 240 HP / 188 Def Meloetta: 315-372 (78.5 - 92.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO A lot of the most common Meloetta spreads take a hit from Diggersby, I'd mention something else like Porygon-Z.
  • However, its overall middling base stats betray it, leaving it unable to run setup and without a high base Speed stat to afford to leave uninvested. Diggersby is therefore forced to choose between running a Choice Scarf to shore up its below average Speed, leaving it vulnerable to naturally bulky Pokemon like Primarina, Kommo-o, and Tapu Fini, or to go all in on Attack with a Choice Band, forfeiting any potential to outspeed and OHKO Pokemon like Mega Charizard Y and Greninja, unable to do both at the same time.
  • It also faces competition from Slaking as a hyperoffensive Normal-type; Slaking can afford to run a Choice Band, thanks to its natural bulk and Speed, making it hit much harder with its Giga Impact, but this is counterbalanced by Diggersby's positive matchup against fast Substitute users like Jumpluff and Protect users like Magnezone Something else. Winning against Magnezone isn't because of Diggersby having a positive matchup against Protect users, it's because it's immune to it's main STAB.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Water-types**: Diggersby has no effective way to one shot most Water-types, and as such will often find itself OHKOed quite easily by unboosted attacks. Avoid Mega Gyarados, Primarina, Mega Swampert, and Manaphy. It should be noted, however, that Gunk Shot can lure in and easily 2HKO Tapunium Tapu Fini.

**Sturdy Users**: Diggersby will struggle against most Pokemon it cannot OHKO, and thus most Sturdy users have ways to work around Diggersby, be it hyper offense of their own, setup, Counter, Metal Burst, or priority, or a combination of these. Do not send Diggersby against Donphan, Golem, Mega Aggron, Carracosta, Sawk, and Avalugg. Endure Porygon-Z should also not be considered reliably, for similar reasoning. It should be noted that Magnezone, as an Electric-type, cannot knock out Diggersby fast enough, thus losing the matchup.

**Faster Pokemon**: Pokemon that can naturally outspeed Diggersby even after a Choice Scarf will make quick work of Diggersby, and thus Diggersby should not go up against Mega Lopunny, Choice Band Zeraora, Pheromosa, Haxorus, Mega Blaziken, and Choice Scarf Porygon-Z and Greninja 255 * 3/2 = 382, you outspeed greninja even with adamant. Running a Jolly nature can clean up a few of these, but not all.

**Physically Defensive Bulky Pokemon**: Pokemon that can live an attack from Diggersby will usually win. Do not use Diggersby against Zygarde-C, Kommo-o, Dragonite, Type: Null, Mega Slowbro, Mega Venusaur, and Celesteela. It should also be noted that Intimidate users like Landorus-T, Mega Mawile, and Krookodile are deceptively bulky, and can easily live even 4x super effective attacks. I mean Mega Mawile and Krookodile aren't hit by anything that's 4x effective, maybe you mean this differently but it's just confusing to me.

  • 120 HP and 4 Special Defense is run in order to always live an Ice Punch from Mega Metagross, an Overheat from Heatran, and to give Choice Scarf Genesect a Attack boost instead of Special Attack.
  • 196 Speed is run in order to always outspeed Magnezone, which could potentially 2HKO with Flash Cannon, as well as neutral natured Volcanion and uninvested base 100 Speed Pokemon like Mew and Manaphy. I'd give a different example than Mew, since the top 6 spreads have a lot of speed investment
  • 188 Attack is run in order to maximize Diggersby's Attack as much as possible, granting it absurd matchups against some of the physically bulkiest Pokemon in the metagame, like Mega Altaria, Primarina, and Meloetta.
  • Huge Power is run in order to double Diggersby's Attack, aided by a Choice Band as well.
  • Alternatively, a simple 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe set with Adamant nature in order to OHKO Waterium Tapu Fini and outspeed and OHKO niche threats like neutral natured speedy Tapu Bulu.
Usage Tips
========
  • If one of your coverage moves can also OHKO your opponent alongside Giga Impact, use the coverage move, as this will circumvent any chance of losing due to a missed Giga Impact.
  • It is relevant to know that Choice Band Diggersby, as one of the most physically powerful attackers in 1v1, can win against matchups that would normally be able to tank a neutrally affective or even super effective hit from almost anything else. This includes, but is not limited to, bulky Mega Charizard X, Meloetta, slow Mew Doesn't really exist, Kommo-o, Primarina, Tapu Fini, Mega Altaria, Clefable, max Defense Hoopa-U, and Mega Swampert. These are all threats you can lure in, Pokemon who will be expecting Choice Scarf.
  • Against Tapunium Z Tapu Fini, you cannot OHKO it with Giga Impact, so instead use Earthquake to 2HKO.
  • Serperior is a 50/50, as it cannot OHKO with Leaf Storm; either Giga Impact on a Leaf Storm or Fire Punch on a Substitute turn one.
Team Options
========

  • Diggersby is deathly weak to basically any faster offensive threat, like Dragonite, Mega Gyarados, both Mega Charizards, Greninja, and Porygon-Z, as well as sleep users like Smeargle and Jumpluff, whose strategies rely on putting an opponent to sleep first, then stalling with Leech Seed. Therefore, stall users who can set up against their defenses and mitigate sleep strategies, like Type: Null, Mega Slowbro, Mega Sableye, Mega Audino, and Deoxys-S, act as reasonable support for Diggersby. They in return appreciate Diggersby's unique ability to annihilate common Taunt attackers, like Kommo-o, Mega Mawile, and Tapu Fini, as well as Pokemon like Incineroar, Meloetta, and Aegislash, who all have strategies that can ignore stat boosts.
  • Outside of Magnezone, Sturdy Pokemon like Donphan, Golem, and Carracosta will threaten Diggersby, who will be unable to break them fast enough due to their innate ability. To remember this, bulky Water-types like Mega Gyarados, Primarina, and Tapu Fini can be run in order to threaten these Pokemon, alongside some other faster threats like both Mega Charizards, Greninja, Dragonite, and Mega Lopunny.
=============

  • Diggersby has no viable other options.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Faster Pokemon**: Pokemon that can naturally outspeed Diggersby even after a Choice Scarf will make quick work of Diggersby, and thus Diggersby should not go up against Mega Lopunny, Choice Band Zeraora, Pheromosa, Haxorus, Mega Blaziken, and Choice Scarf Porygon-Z and Greninja 255 * 3/2 = 382, you outspeed greninja even with adamant. this is a grammar thing, but ig making sure the meaning is clear should be included. Next time just ask 'do you mean scarf greninja?' or not Running a Jolly nature can clean up a few of these, but not all.

[OVERVIEW]

  • Diggersby holds a few notable niches within the 1v1 metagame, being a fast physical Normal-type Pokemon with Huge Power and Choice Items granting it the offensive capabilities to OHKO Pokemon like Tapu Lele, Kommo-o, and Meloetta, who traditionally pose a threat to the majority of Normal-types. (80 Base Speed is not not fast. Also I think it would do it better to show that it either beats frail Pokemon like Tapu Lele and Mega Medicham, or bulky Pokemon like KommoO and Meloetta)
  • It's Ground-typing also allows it to stonewall most Zeraora, which traditionally serves as a check-all to Normal-types.
  • I feel like its coverage moves definitely deserve a mention here, since that's what differentiates it from Mega Lopunny or Ambipom.
  • It also faces competition from Slaking as a hyperoffensive Normal-type; Slaking can afford to run a Choice Band, thanks to its natural bulk and Speed, making it hit much harder with its Giga Impact, but this is counterbalanced by Diggersby's positive matchup against fast Substitute users like Jumpluff and Protect users like Magnezone.

Moves
========

  • Giga Impact is Diggersby's go-to STAB option, able to one shot threats like Mega Gardevoir, Mega Charizard Y, Greninja, and potentially Pokemon like Serperior, depending on rolls.
  • Earthquake is Diggersby's secondary STAB choice, hitting Pokemon like Zeraora, Aegislash, and Grassium Heatran. (What can Aegislash do in return? That's not a fair example; I think some other better example should be inserted here, like Victini or Incineroar)
  • Fire Punch can break down Steel-types that are hit neutrally by Earthquake, like Genesect, Kartana, Durant, Mega Scizor, and non-Power Whip Ferrothorn.
  • Ice Punch serves as a more reliable answer for Pokemon like Garchomp and Occa Berry Whimsicott.
  • Gunk Shot can also be run in order to give Diggersby much better odds against Serperior and Tapu Fini.
  • Superpower can be occasionally useful in breaking past certain Mega Tyranitar and offensive Heatran.

Set Details
========

  • The EVs are designed to maximize Attack and Speed, giving it the highest odds at beating Pokemon like bulky Mega Charizard X and Garchomp. (Garchomp is always a KO, I think mentioning Serperior here would be good)
  • The remaining 4 EVs are put into Special Defense in order to not lose to Choice Scarf Genesect.
  • Huge Power is run for this purpose as well, in order to double your Attack.
  • A Choice Scarf is run in order to maximize your speed for outspeeding Greninja, Jumpluff, and fast Tapu Lele.
  • Adamant nature should be run in order to consistently beat threats like Tapu Lele, Magearna, and Ferrothorn. However, Jolly can be run in order to catch speedier Pokemon like Mega Lopunny, Mega Gengar, and Modest Choice Scarf Porygon Z off guard.
  • (252+ Atk Huge Power Diggersby Earthquake vs. 248 HP / 0+ Def Magearna: 342-404 (94.2 - 111.2%) -- 62.5% chance to OHKO. By your 75%-minimum standards, AdScarf is not consistent enough. Tapunium Z Tapu Fini would serve as a better example)

Usage Tips
========

  • Bulky Mega Charizard X is a 50/50, depending on whether or not you predict it to mega evolve or not. If you predict it to stay in regular forme, use Giga Impact, and if you expect it to mega evolve to tank Giga Impact, use Earthquake
  • If one of your coverage moves can also OHKO your opponent alongside Giga Impact, use the coverage move, as this will circumvent any chance of losing due to a missed Giga Impact.
  • Against Pokemon that threaten to beat Diggersby, use Ice Punch if that hits neutrally or super effectively, in order to fish for freezes. This is less than ideal, but is the only way to win against Pokemon like Crustle, Meloetta, Aron, Kommo-o, and Mega Altaria.
  • Despite having access to Ice Punch, do not use Diggersby against Landorus-T and Zygarde-C, as Landorus-T will either tank an Ice Punch and OHKO back, or outspeed and OHKO with its own Choice Scarf, and Zygarde will be able to KO you with Tectonic Rage into Extreme Speed, or after using Coil.
  • For the same reason, Mega Mawile should be avoided, as it can easily take an Earthquake after Intimidate and OHKO back with Metal Burst or Play Rough.

Team Options
========

  • Grass- and Electric-type Pokemon like Serperior, Tapu Bulu, Magnezone, and Zeraora are especially helpful partners of Diggersby, as they can deal with Diggersby's ineptitude against several common bulky Water-types, like Mega Gyarados, Primarina, and Mega Slowbro. In return, Diggersby deals with dangerous Fire-types like both Mega Charizards, Victini, and Incineroar, and dangerous Ground- and Steel-types like Garchomp and Registeel.
  • Diggersby will appreciate bulky Taunt users like Kommo-o, stall Deoxys-S, and Tapu Fini, who can break past stall or setup Pokemon that can take a few of Diggersby's hits, like Umbreon, Necrozma, Zygarde-C, Landorus-T, and Meloetta. Diggersby can aid these Pokemon by beating back faster and more offensive opposing Taunt users, like Mega Gardevoir, Tapu Lele, and Zeraora. (I think Icy Wind Tapu Fini is to be mentioned if you're introducing it as a Landorus-T answer, or Flyinium Z Landorus-T counters all 3 Pokemon you've mentioned)

  • The remaining 4 EVs are put into Special Defense in order to not lose to Choice Scarf Genesect. (Specify download)
  • Huge Power is run for this purpose as well, in order to double your Attack. (What purpose? It's not for scarf sect - this is why this mon is usable)

Do not use Diggersby against Zygarde-C, Kommo-o, Dragonite, Type: Null, Mega Slowbro, Mega Venusaur, and Celesteela. (Choice band beats half of these) It should also be noted that Intimidate users like Landorus-T, Mega Mawile, and Krookodile are deceptively bulky, and can easily tank super effective hits from the Choice Scarf variant.

  • Its Ground-typing also allows it to stonewall most Zeraora, which traditionally serves as a check-all to Normal-types.
(redundant)
(This part is weird. Diggs hits roughly the same when banded so you should clarify this; it assumes scarf)

Moves
========

  • Giga Impact is Diggersby's go-to STAB option, able to one shot threats like Mega Gardevoir, Mega Charizard Y, Greninja, and potentially Pokemon like Serperior, depending on rolls.
  • Earthquake is Diggersby's secondary STAB choice (weird phrasing like it would be if you had return) , hitting Pokemon like Zeraora (Gimpact kills, Aegislash, and Grassium Heatran.
  • Fire Punch can break down Steel-types that are hit neutrally by Earthquake, like Genesect, Kartana, Durant, Mega Scizor, and non-Power Whip Ferrothorn (You beat non max physdef ferro a majority of the time).
  • Ice Punch serves as a more reliable answer for Pokemon like Garchomp and Occa Berry Whimsicott. (Both ice punch and fire punch lose to bulky whimsi)
  • Gunk Shot can also be run in order to give Diggersby much better odds against Serperior and Tapu Fini.
  • Superpower can be occasionally useful in breaking past certain Mega Tyranitar (EQ beats all but bulky counter) and offensive Heatran (need to clarify this, I would just remove superpower).

Set Details
========

  • The EVs are designed to maximize Attack and Speed, giving it the highest odds at beating Pokemon like bulky Mega Charizard X and Garchomp (Since u have ice punch as a main move maybe specify Giga Impact).
  • The remaining 4 EVs are put into Special Defense in order to not lose to Choice Scarf Genesect. (Specify download)
  • Huge Power is run for this purpose as well, in order to double your Attack. (What purpose? It's not for scarf sect - this is why this mon is usable)
  • A Choice Scarf is run in order to maximize your speed for outspeeding Greninja, Jumpluff, and fast Tapu Lele. (This isn't that fast, no reason for this - put Garchomp?)
  • Adamant nature should be run in order to consistently beat threats like Tapu Lele, Magearna, and Ferrothorn. However, Jolly can be run in order to catch speedier Pokemon like Mega Lopunny, Mega Gengar, and Choice Scarf Porygon Z off guard.

Usage Tips
========

(Gunk is the exception, not sure if its worth mentioning)
(Only bulky tanks, kind of a misrepresentation)

Team Options
========

In return, Diggersby deals with dangerous Fire-types like both Mega Charizards, Victini, and Incineroar, and dangerous Ground- and Steel-types like Garchomp and Registeel (counter registeel fucks u up).
  • Diggersby will appreciate bulky Taunt users like Kommo-o, stall Deoxys-S, and Tapu Fini, who can break past stall or setup Pokemon that can take a few of Diggersby's hits, like Umbreon, Necrozma, Zygarde-C, Landorus-T, and Meloetta (Melo beats stall deos but ig it's fair). Diggersby can aid these Pokemon by beating back faster and more offensive opposing Taunt users, like Mega Gardevoir, Tapu Lele, and Zeraora.

  • Giga Impact is Diggersby's go-to STAB option, able to one shot threats like Kommo-o, Tapu Fini (fix this with explanation), Meloetta and Primarina.
  • Earthquake is Diggersby's secondary STAB choice (see above), hitting Pokemon like Zeraora, Mega Metagross, and Magearna, as well as 2HKOing Tapunium Z Tapu Fini.
  • Superpower is run in order to OHKO Heatran and specially defensive Porygon2.
  • Fire Punch can be run in order to OHKO Mega Scizor and physically defensive Ferrothorn.
  • Ice Punch is run in order to beat Occa Berry Whimsicott, non-Extreme Speed (Why does extremespeed matter, you should win every time) Zygarde-C, and fish for potential freezes in unwinnable matchups.
  • Both of these punches can be run in order to 50/50 Serperior. (Punches are still a roll on serp so this is kinda misleading)
  • Foul Play can be run in order to lure in and OHKO Magnet Rise Mega Metagross.

Set Details
========

  • 120 HP and 4 Special Defense is run in order to always live an Ice Punch from Mega Metagross, an Overheat from Heatran, and to give Choice Scarf Genesect an Attack boost instead of Special Attack.
  • 196 Speed is run in order to always outspeed Magnezone, which could potentially 2HKO with Flash Cannon, as well as neutral natured Volcanion and uninvested base 100 Speed Pokemon like Manaphy.
Usage Tips
========
This includes, but is not limited to, bulky Mega Charizard X, Meloetta, Kommo-o, Primarina, Tapu Fini, Mega Altaria, Clefable, max Defense Hoopa-U, and Mega Swampert (You can't always kill pert). These are all threats you can lure in, Pokemon who will be expecting Choice Scarf.
  • Against physically defensive Tapunium Z Tapu Fini, you cannot consistently OHKO it with Giga Impact, so instead use Earthquake to 2HKO.
  • Serperior is a 50/50, as it cannot OHKO with Leaf Storm; either Giga Impact on a Leaf Storm or Fire Punch on a Substitute turn one.
Team Options
========

Other Options

Checks and Counters
===================

(Assumes scarf, clean this up)

Endure Porygon-Z should also not be considered reliable, for similar reasoning. It should be noted that Magnezone, as an Electric-type, cannot knock out Diggersby fast enough with Flash Cannon, thus losing the matchup. (This sentence can be removed)

**Faster Pokemon**: Pokemon that can naturally outspeed Diggersby even after a Choice Scarf will make quick work of Diggersby, and thus Diggersby should not go up against Mega Lopunny, Choice Band Zeraora, Pheromosa, Haxorus, Mega Blaziken, and Choice Scarf Porygon-Z and Greninja (If you meant scarf gren that is illegal regardless).

(Choice band beats half of these) It should also be noted that Intimidate users like Landorus-T, Mega Mawile, and Krookodile are deceptively bulky, and can easily tank super effective hits from the Choice Scarf variant.

Superpower is run in order to OHKO Heatran and specially defensive Porygon2 earthquake 2hkos this just fine, replace with Type:Null (rolls) and Umbreon. Fire Punch can be run in order to OHKO Mega Scizor and physically defensive Ferrothorn. Foul Play can be run in order to lure in and OHKO Magnet Rise Mega Metagross.

120 HP and 4 Special Defense is run in order to always live an Ice Punch from Mega Metagross, an Overheat from Heatran, and to give Choice Scarf Genesect an Attack boost instead of Special Attack. 196 Speed is run in order to always outspeed Magnezone, which could potentially 2HKO with Flash Cannon, as well as neutral natured Volcanion and uninvested base 100 Speed Pokemon like Manaphy. 188 Attack is run in order to maximize Diggersby's Attack as much as possible, granting it absurd matchups against some of the physically bulkiest Pokemon in the metagame, like Mega Altaria, Primarina, and Meloetta. Huge Power is run in order to double Diggersby's Attack, aided by a Choice Band as well. Alternatively, a simple 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe set with Adamant nature in order to OHKO Waterium Tapu Fini and outspeed and OHKO niche threats like neutral natured speedy Tapu Bulu.

Usage Tips
========
If one of your coverage moves can also OHKO your opponent alongside Giga Impact, use the coverage move, as this will circumvent any chance of losing due to a missed Giga Impact. It is relevant to know that Choice Band Diggersby, as one of the most physically powerful attackers in 1v1, can win against matchups that would normally be able to tank a neutrally affective or even super effective hit from almost anything else. This includes, but is not limited to, bulky Mega Charizard X, Meloetta, Kommo-o, Primarina, Tapu Fini, Mega Altaria, Clefable, max Defense Hoopa-U, and almost always Mega Swampert. These are all threats you can lure in, Pokemon who will be expecting Choice Scarf. Against physically defensive Tapunium Z Tapu Fini, you cannot consistently OHKO it with Giga Impact, so instead use Earthquake to 2HKO.

Team Options
========

Diggersby is deathly weak to basically any faster offensive threat, like Dragonite, Mega Gyarados, both Mega Charizards, Greninja, and Porygon-Z, as well as sleep users like Smeargle and Jumpluff, whose strategies rely on putting an opponent to sleep first, then stalling with Leech Seed. Outside of Magnezone, Sturdy Pokemon like Donphan, Golem, and Carracosta will threaten Diggersby, who will be unable to break them fast enough due to their innate ability. To remember this, bulky Water-types like Mega Gyarados, Primarina, and Tapu Fini can be run in order to threaten these Pokemon, alongside some other faster threats like both Mega Charizards, Greninja, Dragonite, and Mega Lopunny.

Checks and Counters
===================

Endure Porygon-Z should also not be considered reliable, for similar reasoning.

**Faster Pokemon**: Pokemon that can naturally outspeed Diggersby even after a Choice Scarf will make quick work of Diggersby, and thus Diggersby should not go up against Mega Lopunny, Choice Band Zeraora, Pheromosa, Haxorus, Mega Blaziken, and Choice Scarf Porygon-Z and Tapu Lele. Running a Jolly nature can clean up a few of these, but not all.

**Physically Defensive Bulky Pokemon**: Pokemon that can live an attack from Diggersby will usually win. Do not use Diggersby against Mega Gyarados, Zygarde-C, Dragonite, Type: Null, Mega Slowbro, Mega Venusaur, and Celesteela both of these are beaten by band superpower and fire punch, respectively. Replace with Kee Berry Mew and Mega Sableye. It should also be noted that Intimidate users like Landorus-T, Mega Mawile, and Krookodile are deceptively bulky, and can easily tank super effective hits from the Choice Scarf variant.

lmk when implemented and I'll double check
Implemented, except the Should probably name drop a bunch of the general stuff that it's good to go for the Giga/EQ against immediately here, since that's p much the entire niche of Diggersby (physically frail, weak to eq, etc), 'hit mons that you beat with the moves that you beat them with' is kind of obvious, but I will mention instead mons that look like you can beat but cannot, because thats probably more important to note (for scarf, stuff like Incineroar, Celesteela, etc)

This might be another disagreement of our interpretations behind each section, but I believe Usage Tips should be showcasing what the mon is useful for, while Checks and Counters should be the section that showcases what it's not useful for-

Either way, 3/3

Diggersby holds a few notable niches within the 1v1 metagame, being a fast physical Normal-type Pokemon with Huge Power and Choice Items granting it the offensive capabilities able to OHKO Pokemon like Tapu Lele, Kommo-o, and Meloetta with Huge Power and a Choice item, who which traditionally pose a threat to the majority of Normal-types. Its Ground typing (RH) also allows it to stonewall most Zeraora, which traditionally serves as a counter to Normal-types. However, its overall middling base stats betray it, leaving it unable to run setup and without a high base Speed stat to afford to or leave its Speed stat uninvested. Diggersby is therefore forced to choose between running a Choice Scarf to shore up its below average Speed, leaving it vulnerable to naturally bulky Pokemon like Primarina, Kommo-o, and Tapu Fini, or to go and going all in on Attack with a Choice Band, forfeiting any potential to outspeed and OHKO Pokemon like Mega Charizard Y and Greninja. It also faces competition from Slaking as a hyper(space)offensive Normal-type; Slaking can afford to run a Choice Band, thanks to with its natural bulk and Speed, making it hit it hits much harder with its Choice Band-boosted Giga Impact when compared to Choice Scarf Diggersby (RC) and is much more capable of tanking hits than Choice Band Diggersby.

The matchup against bulky Mega Charizard X is a 50/50 coinflip, depending on whether or not you predict it to Mega Evolve or not. Despite it having access to Ice Punch, do not use Diggersby against Landorus-T and Zygarde-C, as Landorus-T will either tank an Ice Punch and OHKO back (RC) or outspeed it and OHKO with its own Choice Scarf and OHKO back, and Zygarde will be able to KO you Diggersby with Tectonic Rage into followed by Extreme Speed (RC) or after using Coil. For the same reason, Mega Mawile and Incineroar should be avoided, as it they can easily take an Earthquake after Intimidate and OHKO back with Metal Burst or Play Rough (RC) or Fake Out into followed by Malicious Moonsault.

Usage Tips
========

========

Huge Power is run in order to double Diggersby's Attack, aided by a Choice Band as well. Alternatively, a simple 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe set with an Adamant nature allows Diggersby to OHKO Waterium Z Tapu Fini and outspeed and OHKO niche threats like neutral-natured speedy Tapu Bulu.

Usage Tips
========

========

Checks and Counters
===================

**Sturdy Users**: Diggersby will struggle against most Pokemon it cannot OHKO, and thus most Sturdy users have ways to work around Diggersby, be it hyper offense of their own, setup, Counter, Metal Burst, or priority, or a combination of these. Do not send Diggersby against Donphan, Golem, Mega AggronAggron (I assume you mean regular aggron since it gets sturdy, and its not like the user can tell it's mega from team preview), Carracosta, Sawk, and Avalugg. Endure Porygon-Z should also not be considered a reliable win, for similar reasoning.

**Faster Pokemon**: Pokemon that can naturally outspeed Diggersby even after a Choice Scarf will make quick work of Diggersbyit, and thus Diggersby should not go up against Mega Lopunny, Choice Band Zeraora, Pheromosa, Haxorus, Mega Blaziken, and Choice Scarf Porygon-Z and Tapu Lele.

GP 2/2

[OVERVIEW]

Diggersby holds a few notable niches within the 1v1 metagame, being a fast physical Normal-type Pokemon able to OHKO Pokemon that traditionally pose a threat to most Normal-types, (AC) like Tapu Lele, Kommo-o, and Meloetta with Huge Power and a Choice item, which traditionally pose a threat to the majority of Normal-types, (AC) with Huge Power and a Choice item. Its Ground typing also allows it to stonewall most Zeraora, which traditionally serves as a counter to Normal-types. However, itDiggersby's overall middling base stats betray it, leaving it unable to run setup or leave its Speed stat uninvested. Diggersby is therefore forced to choose between running a Choice Scarf to shore up its below average Speed, leaving it vulnerable to naturally bulky Pokemon, (AC) like Primarina, Kommo-o, and Tapu Fini, and going all in on Attack with a Choice Band, forfeiting any potential to outspeed and OHKO Pokemon like Mega Charizard Y and Greninja. It also faces competition from Slaking as a hyper offensive Normal-type; with its natural bulk and Speed, itSlaking hits much harder with its Choice Band-boosted Giga Impact when compared to Choice Scarf Diggersby and is much more capable of tanking hits than Choice Band Diggersby.
