[SET COMMENTS]
Thanks to its gargantuan Defense in tandem with a plethora of utility options and a great defensive typing, Great Tusk makes for a premier defensive presence, checking notable threats like Kingambit, Gouging Fire, and Dragonite. Stealth Rock, in tandem with Rapid Spin, makes Great Tusk a dominant choice for entry hazard control, being able to threaten Pokemon immune to Rapid Spin like Gholdengo and Dragapult with Earthquake or Knock Off while also being able to set up Stealth Rock in the face of aforementioned physical threats. Alternatively, Bulk Up makes Great Tusk more consistently able to check foes like Choice Band Roaring Moon, Iron Boulder, Choice Band Zamazenta, and especially Kingambit. Knock Off punishes common switch ins like Corviknight, Air Balloon Gholdengo, and Zapdos and breaks through Ghost-types like Dragapult. Alternatively, Ice Spinner provides solid coverage for Flying- and Ground-types like Gliscor, Enamorus, and Tera Flying Kingambit. 36 Speed EVs lets Great Tusk outspeed Jolly maximum Speed Kingambit. Tera Water provides Great Tusk means of resisting Water-type attacks from the likes of Barraskewda and Hisuian Samurott while also removing its weaknesses to Fairy and Flying. Alternatively, Tera Steel turns its weaknesses to Grass and Ice into resistances, giving Great Tusk stronger utility against the likes of Meowscarada, Serperior, and Rillaboom. Leftovers gives Great Tusk better longevity, while Heavy-Duty Boots bolsters Great Tusk's role as hazard control.

Great Tusk fits best on balance and bulky offense teams as a premier choice for entry hazard control, in addition to acting as a strong check towards the likes of Kingambit and Gouging Fire. Pokemon that heavily benefit from hazard removal, namely Raging Bolt and Gouging Fire, heavily appreciate Great Tusk's capability of shedding entry hazards with ease while being able to take advantage of the Water- and Grass-type Pokemon that threaten Great Tusk. Air Balloon Gholdengo poses a major threat to Great Tusk without Knock Off, as it can otherwise switch in with ease and overwhelm Great Tusk with Shadow Ball. As a result, Kingambit makes for a solid partner to Great Tusk thanks to its strong ability to check non-Focus Blast Gholdengo, as well as Serperior, Meowscarada, and Dragapult. Defensive Great Tusk also doubles as a solid Kingambit answer, meaning that Pokemon that would otherwise be overwhelmed by Kingambit such as Dragapult and Gholdengo make for solid partners. The latter also blocks attempts at removing Stealth Rock from the likes of Corviknight and opposing Great Tusk.

Alternatively, Bulk Up lets Great Tusk power through Pokemon that would otherwise wall or revenge kill it, namely Choice Band Roaring Moon, Iron Boulder, and Choice Band Zamazenta. Information is all good but I'd add that it makes the matchup vs Kingambit more consistent too. Knock Off pressures common switch ins like Corviknight, Air Balloon Gholdengo, Dondozo, and Zapdos and breaks through Ghost- and Psychic-types like Dragapult and Latias. Latias uses Tusk as setup fodder. Alternatively, Ice Spinner provides solid coverage for Dragon- and Ground-types like Gliscor, Landorus-Therian, Dragapult, and Dragonite. Hitting Dragons is less relevant than Flyings, especially because Knock already deals with Dragapult and Dragonite is Flying type. Meanwhile, flyers make up all of these except dragapult along with others like Enamorus and Tera Flying Kingambit. 36 Speed lets Great Tusk outspeed maximum Speed Kingambit. Good how it is but could be changed to Jolly Kingambit or Jolly maximum Speed Kingambit for clarity. Tera Water provides Great Tusk means of resisting Water-type attacks from the likes of Barraskewda and Hisuian Samurott while also removing its weaknesses to Fairy and Flying. Alternatively, Tera Steel turns its weaknesses to Grass and Ice into resistances, giving Great Tusk stronger utility against the likes of Meowscarada, Weavile, Tera Steel is either equally good or worse into Weavile than tera water depending on set because of Low Kick. Serperior, and Rillaboom. Leftovers gives Great Tusk better longevity, giving it more favorable chances to survive two Outrages from Choice Band Roaring Moon. Fully invested attack moon always has a 3HKO without attack boost, even with rocks up and always a 2HKO with attack boost. Meanwhile, Heavy-Duty Boots bolsters Great Tusk's role as hazard control

Great Tusk fits best on balance and bulky offense teams as a premier choice for hazard control, in addition to acting as a strong check towards the likes of Kingambit and Gouging Fire. Pokemon that heavily benefit from hazard removal, namely Raging Bolt and Great Tusk Great Tusk should be replaced, pokemon that are very weak to hazards and like not running boots deserve a mention. heavily appreciate Great Tusk's capability of shedding entry hazards with ease while being able to take advantage of the Water- and Grass-type Pokemon respectively that threaten Great Tusk. Due to the lack in major Speed investment, defensive Great Tusk finds itself getting outsped and overwhelmed by the likes of Gliscor and Hisuian Samurott. Rillaboom makes for an excellent partner, revenge-killing these threats while also providing Grassy Terrain to give Great Tusk residual healing if it uses Heavy-Duty Boots over Leftovers.

Knock Off pressures common switch ins like Corviknight, Air Balloon Gholdengo, Dondozo, (Dozo doesn't typically switch in on Tusk, though it could come in on a BU variant) and Zapdos and breaks through Ghost- and Psychic-types (What Psychic-types does this hit? Hatt is neutral, Gking doesn't switch in on Tusk and Crown / Boulder get hit harder by EQ while usually running booster) like Dragapult. (This set uses EQ and so doesn't have synergy with Rillaboom, as the power of your EQs will be halved)

Thanks to its gargantuan Defense in tandem with a plethora of utility options and a great defensive typing, Great Tusk makes for a premier defensive presence, checking premier (repetition, feel free to choose a different word or just cut) threats like Kingambit, Gouging Fire, and Dragonite. Alternatively, Bulk Up makes Great Tusk more consistently able to check namely foes like Choice Band Roaring Moon, Iron Boulder, Choice Band Zamazenta, and especially Kingambit. Knock Off pressures (not really sure if this is the right word because it's not rly offfensive pressure, 'punish' might be better) common switch ins like Corviknight, Air Balloon Gholdengo, Dondozo, and Zapdos and breaks through Ghost-types like Dragapult. Alternatively, Ice Spinner provides solid coverage for Flying- and Ground-types like Gliscor, Landorus-Therian Landorus-T, Dragonite, Enamorus, and Tera Flying Kingambit. 36 Speed lets EVs let Great Tusk outspeed Jolly maximum Speed Kingambit. Leftovers gives Great Tusk better longevity, (AC) while Heavy-Duty Boots bolsters Great Tusk's role as hazard control.
would recommend trimming down some example lists in this paragraph to 3

Great Tusk fits best on balance and bulky offense teams as a premier choice for entry hazard control, in addition to acting as a strong check towards the likes of Kingambit and Gouging Fire. Pokemon that heavily benefit from hazard removal, namely Raging Bolt and Gouging Fire, heavily appreciate Great Tusk's capability of shedding entry hazards with ease while being able to take advantage of the Water- and Grass-type Pokemon respectively that threaten Great Tusk.
