[SET COMMENTS]
Galarian Darmanitan has the highest Attack stat in the tier after accounting for Gorilla Tactics and takes no additional penalty from wearing a Choice Scarf. Using a Choice Scarf allows it to serve as a frighteningly fast pivot and wallbreaker at the same time, a trait largely unique to Galarian Darmanitan.
Icicle Crash is Galarian Darmanitan's preferred STAB move, and it can heavily damage typical physical checks such as Ferrothorn. Ice Punch can also be used to guarantee a hit, but this comes at a slightly reduced Base Power. Flare Blitz allows Galarian Darmanitan to always KO all Ferrothorn variants, some variants even after Dynamax, and KO Corviknight far more consistently than any other move options. Due to the heavy meta relevancy of these two, it is highly recommended to use Flare Blitz, but it could be forgone for Earthquake or Superpower if it makes more sense for your team composition. Earthquake gives Galarian Darmanitan the ability to beat Aegislash, Toxapex, Arcanine, and several others that don't mind taking other hits. If Earthquake is not needed, Superpower can be used guarantee an OHKO on most Tyranitar variants and hit Rotom-W and Rotom-H neutrally while also giving boosted Attack when using Max Knuckle. U-turn allows Galarian Darmanitan to scout foes while still doing heavy damage. It can also be used to break Focus Sash and Disguise while safely bringing in checks. Stone Edge is an option to beat a few other Pokemon Galarian Darmanitan may lose to, such as Rotom-H and Charizard, but it is otherwise an inferior option due to its rather shaky accuracy.
An Adamant nature with full Attack and Speed investment is used to outspeed positive Speed natured Dragapult, while Jolly is important to tie other Galarian Darmanitan and also outspeed some other threats based on team need. While Galarian Darmanitan is incredibly powerful, many Pokemon can take on some neutral hits of some of Galarian Darmanitan's moves or can boost Defense to avoid being threatened by its super effective coverage, such as Galarian Corsola, Ferrothorn, and Corviknight. Also, while Galarian Darmanitan can use Dynamax to get out of Choice lock to better attack specific Pokemon, it will lose its bonus Attack gained from Gorilla Tactics as well as the Speed boost from Choice Scarf, so only use it in absolutely critical situations, such as a last Pokemon scenario. As a result of this weakness to break certain walls, Pokemon that can threaten these walls and maintain momentum, such as Rotom-H, special Life Orb Dragapult, and Chandelure serve as good partners to mitigate Choice Scarf Galarian Darmanitan's inability to break certain walls that can take advantage of Galarian Darmanitan's Choice lock.

Galarian Darmanitan has the highest Attack stat in the tier after accounting for Gorilla Tactics, and it takes no additional penalty from wearing a Choice Band. Using a Choice Band allows it to defeat almost every physical wall without needing to rely on traditional boosting options, which renders normal physical checks, such as Quagsire and Galarian Corsola, vulnerable. Icicle Crash is the STAB move of choice, and it can be freely used in more situations than with the Choice Scarf set, since it is nearly impossible to switch into. Ice Punch is a serviceable alternative, as it has 100% accuracy and has the ability to KO most Pokemon that Icicle Crash can, making it less risky of a move choice in some scenarios. Flare Blitz with a Choice Band boost is capable of always beating unboosted Corviknight and Ferrothorn, the latter of which cannot survive even after Dynamax. Earthquake allows Galarian Darmanitan to cleanly beat Toxapex and Arcanine, which are able to switch in to its other moves. Lastly, U-turn does heavy damage while also allowing Galarian Darmanitan to maintain momentum against the opponent. Superpower is a great alternative to either of the last move options, beating Rotom-W and Rotom-H leads, which are often baited out, as they lead decently well against the more traditional Choice Scarf Galarian Darmanitan lead.
A Jolly nature is often chosen to outspeed Jolly Excadrill; however, an Adamant nature is perfectly acceptable if you want to maximize power. Choice Band Galarian Darmanitan can be brought in to punish slower teams that rely on the premier defensive walls such as Galarian Corsola, Ferrothorn, Toxapex, and Corviknight. None of these potent walls are able to switch into the right coverage. While Choice Band remains the less used of the two sets behind Choice Scarf, it still has great viability, particularly with having paralysis support from Pokemon such Grimmsnarl, Rotom-C, and Type: Null, or with other forms of speed control, such as Tailwind support from Whimsicott. Alternative Choice Scarf users, to fill the hole that forgoing the item on Galarian Darmanitan creates, such as Dragapult, Hydreigon, and Rotom-H are other good teammate options.
