Well-Baked Body: When hit by a Fire-type move, the Pokemon's Defense will increase by two stages, and the move will have no effect on the Pokemon.
Pros:
- Well-Baked Body gives an incredibly important immunity to Fire-type moves, and allows Dachsbun to become an unbreakable physical wall
- Wish and Protect makes Dachsbun an incredibly good cleric
- Yawn lets it force switches and make even better use of Wish
- Excellent physical Defense of 115 synergizes well with Body Press
- Above-average Speed stat for a wall
- Pure Fairy is a solid defensive typing
- Low HP stat makes it hard for Dachsbun to utilize its defensive capabilities
- Lack of an immediate recovery move forces Daschbun to be reliant on Leftovers for longevity
- Low attacking stats and shallow attacking movepool make Daschbun very passive
- Tera Steel has great synergy with Well-Baked Body and is the best defensive typing in the game overall
- Tera Fighting gives STAB to Body Press, which could turn Daschbun into a terrifying defensive sweeper
Physically Defensive Cleric
Dachsbun @ Leftovers
Ability: Well-Baked Body
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Play Rough
- Body Press
- Wish
- Protect / Yawn
This set allows Daschbun to freely set up Wishes and pass them to its teammates while also serving as a solid physical tank. Play Rough is Daschbun's main STAB move, while Body Press serves as a pseudo-STAB off of Daschbun's high Defense and prevents Daschbun from being completely walled by Steel-types. Protect can be used to give Daschbun immediate Wish recovery in a pinch while scouting the opponent's moves, while Yawn forces switches to let Daschbun bring in any injured teammates to take advantage of its Wishes. Leftovers is vital for giving Daschbun passive recovery and longevity, and full Defense investment gives Daschbun's Body Press more power.
Other Options:
- Stomping Tantrum can be used as the secondary attacking move to hit Ghost-types like Gengar while still hitting Steel-types for SE damage and has surprisingly strong synergy with Protect, but Body Press is much more powerful and reliable overall.
- Rest and Sleep Talk can be used to give Daschbun more immediate recovery and lets it serve as more of a wall, but it forces Daschbun to give up Wish, which is a large part of its appeal.
