Rapid Spin denies entry hazards from Pokemon such as the former two, while its solid matchup versus Ghost-types such as Decidueye and Brambleghast makes it very hard to spinblock. Knock Off lets Cyclizar cripple switch-ins like Gastrodon and Tinkaton. Heavy-Duty Boots lets Cyclizar pivot more reliably when it can't keep entry hazards off against setters such as Hippowdon and Tinkaton, while Assault Vest lets it better check the aforementioned special attackers like Gengar and Sandy Shocks. Tera Steel lets Cyclizar check Grafaiai and Scream Tail and avoid Sludge Bomb poison from Gengar. 104 Special Attack EVs let it OHKO Salamence, while 224 Speed EVs let it outspeed Salazzle, +1 Jolly Tyranitar, and Maushold. Cyclizar fits with a wide variety of teammates; offensive teammates such as Pawmot and Sandy Shocks appreciate the free entry points against targets such as Gastrodon and Tinkaton from U-turn, while defensive Pokemon such as Slowbro and Scream Tail appreciate Cyclizar checking Greninja and Gengar for them.
