VGC 'Coming for You' A Mega Pidgeot VGC15 RMT

Introduction:
Hello all, my name is Kamikaze Gallade and I am... an alright VGC player. Haha.
So the premise behind this team is that I like Mega Pidgeot, and I heard it had somewhat of a viability in VGC15, which I have fallen in love with the doubles fast paced formats.
This is my first RMT post, so pardon me if I do completely awful in the formatting xD.

First I started with something to resist incoming Rock Slides and, I preferred Terrakion because while it doesn't have the best bulk, it can take Rock attacks easily and deal them back, as well as being a threat to Mega Kangaskhan and Bisharp.

Ah Raichu, good for Fake Out support, great speed tier, and a good ability to help out against Rotom-Ws. Lightningrod was the main reason to pick it, as its half decent Special Attack would be amended by a 1.5x boost on switch in, or if the opponent isn't paying attention. Also access to Fake Out.

Rotom-W, a staple in almost every OU team there is, even in VGC. Takes attacks like a champ, then just recovers back some more HP and bounces back with an okay SpAtt stat. I needed a more solid Lando-T check, so I decided to use this. HP Ice is in usage with two mons here, but they don't outspeed standard Scarf Lando, making it shaky.

Aegi, he is my most reliable check to Rock Slide, and he can spam Wide Guard and hit hard. Aegi is (probably) the thing that gets to Rotom-W the hardest. It also can put Mega Khan in check again, considering it's a big threat.

Finally, the big black dragon himself. Hydreigon! Hydreigon just is amazing, he is able to hit so damn hard on the special side, it makes me cry why he isn't used more. The Fairy weakness is crippling, but bring a few Fairy checks and you're good... I think.

The Team:
pidgeot-mega.gif

Lord Bird (Pidgeot) (M) @ Pidgeotite
Ability: Big Pecks
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 Def
Timid Nature
- Hurricane
- Heat Wave
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Protect
Ah, Mega Pidgeot, one of my favorite all time megas. It has a high Special Attack stat, decent bulk, good speed tier and the ability to never miss Hurricane. All in all, it makes for a good mega... what makes it so underrated? Well, it's movepool for special is shallower than a piss you take after a month in the desert with no water. I picked Hurricane for its main STAB because of its abusive high BP and no miss chance. Heat Wave is to body Steels no matter which side they switch in, and HP Ice is for Garchomp, Landorus-T, and all the other ice weak mons. Protect is staple.
terrakion.gif

San Diego (Terrakion) @ Lum Berry
Ability: Justified
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Rock Slide
- Quick Guard/Iron Head
- Protect
Terrakion takes all the Rock Slides coming at Pidgeot like a champ, it deals significant damage and also checks Mega Khan, which is a huge threat in this metagame. Close Combat is a nuke that strikes anything neutral for heavy damage, albeit leaving Terrak weakened. Rock Slide is its staple STAB move, with Terraks decent speed tier it can flinch fish and deal decent damage through it being STAB. Iron Head was used to aleviate the slight weakness to Sylveon, and it will be tested soon enough. Quick Guard is to stop Pranksters from TWaving or WoWing our friends, Double Kick is an option, but I don't see Bisharp as much of a threat. Protect is staple.
raichu.gif

Zappamausa (Raichu) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Lightning Rod
Shiny: Yes
EVs:28 HP / 4 Def / 220 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 Def
Timid Nature
- Fake Out
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Thunderbolt
- Protect
Raichu is our main Fake Out support, it doesn't hit hard with Fake Out but gives some free turns if used correctly. HP Ice nails the common quad ice weakness and hits double dragons hard. Thunderbolt is basic STAB, and hits decently hard, even if off Raichu's sub par Special Attack. Protect is staple. Lightningrod attracts all enemy Electric moves, so Thundy, Mega Mane, Rotom-W suffer when it's on the field, and it hits decently hard after a boost.
rotom-wash.gif

ShamWoW (Rotom-Wash) @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Levitate
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 44 Def / 60 SpA / 148 SpD / 4 Spe
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hydro Pump
- Thunderbolt
- Will-O-Wisp
- Protect

Rotom-W helps against Lando-T, which the Scarved variant does destroy the other members. The given spread is standard. Hydro Pump is a good STAB, hits hard off it's decent Special Attack and hits Lando-T quite hard. Thunderbolt is secondary STAB, hitting Zard Y, most notably the hardest. Will-O-Wisp cripples physical attackers, and helps against our somewhat frail (so far) team. Protect is staple.
aegislash.gif

Blade of Strife (Aegislash) (M) @ Weakness Policy Life Orb
Ability: Stance Change
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 204 HP / 252 SpA / 52 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Shadow Ball
- Flash Cannon
- Wide Guard
- King's Shield

Here's Aegislash, the secondary Rockspam check we have, it has great defenses in Shield forme, great offense in Blade forme, and can tank so many attacks with ease. Shadow Ball nails most things with the strong 150 Special Attack hard, and has a decent chance to lower Special Defense. Flash Cannon nails most resists to Ghost and Fairies hard, while having a chance to lower Special Defense, albeit lower than Shadow Balls. Wide Guard makes Earthquake, Icy Wind, Rock Slide, among other moves fail. King's Shield is staple, as it's a protection move. Speed is used to outspeed 48 ((Aaron Zhengs)) speed Sylveon. Life Orb was used to be able to do more damage to Sylveon since we go faster.
hydreigon.gif

Hewdraw (Hydreigon) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 28 HP / 36 Def / 244 SpA / 4 SpD / 196 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Dark Pulse
- Fire Blast
- Earth Power
- Draco Meteor
Here's one of my personal favorites, (besides the mega) that I love to play around with. Hits hard, has decent bulk, and is a nuke with Draco Meteor. I chose Specs because it fit the team, and I needed something to nuke a Rotom-W, which does threaten this team. Dark Pulse is standard STAB with a chance to flinch, with Dreigons alright speed tiering. Fire Blast hits Draco resists hard, besides Heatran, which Earth Power handles nicely. Draco is the standard STAB on all Hydreigon, nuking literally everything in sight that isn't a fairy. EV spread survived Mach Punch from Iron Fist Conk, and I think Drain Punch.

Conclusion:
How did I do? This team has done decently well in testing and has granted me many hours of fun. This was more of a play around team at first, then I decided to make it serious. It is slightly weak to Rotom-W, if my assessment is right. It is weak to Lando-T if a member goes down, hence why it's a check. Sylveon punches holes in this team, thus the slight changes in some of the spreads and a move change on Terrakion. I don't know many more off the top of my head. That's all I guess, how did I do? Good? Bad? Fair? Anyway, I'm out. Happy posting!

Hi Kamikaze Gallade, it's psychodude11 from PS, and I like the team and the use of the underrated Pokémon. First of all, I suggest a 8 HP / 4 Def / 220 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe EV Spread on Raichu. 28 HP EVs and 4 Def EVs allow Raichu to survive Adamant Mega Kangaskhan's Sucker Punch, while maximum Speed investment is used to fire off Raichu's attacks as quickly as possible. The remaining EVs are put in Special Attack in order to maximize damage output. if your gonna use Hidden Power Ice, use the 31/0/30/31/31/31 IV spread, as this lets Raichu keep its Speed at the highest level. On Rotom-Wash, I suggest a EV Spread of 252 HP / 44 Def / 60 SpA / 148 SpD / 4 Spe. The given HP and Special Defense EVs allow Rotom-W to survive Mega Charizard Y's Solar Beam from full health, and Rotom-W can get back to a comfortable health range with its Sitrus Berry. The EVs in Defense allow Rotom-W to survive Mega Mawile's maximum Attack Play Rough. One point is invested in Speed because level 50 EV investment leaves Rotom-W with one free point. The rest of the EVs are invested in Special Attack to dish out harder hits with Thunderbolt and Hydro Pump. That's all i can see that can be changed, see you on Pokémon Showdown!

Checking this at school, thanks for the surprisingly quick response, I wasn't expecting anyone to bat an eye so fast. I changed the EV spread to the new one because one of my friends Skarm_Steel told me to switch up the EV spread because it was outdated. I will make changes when I get home. My teacher looks away.

Edit: Changes made to Rotom. to all, and I will fetch the IVs when I have access to Showdown.

I think my friend told me I didn't have a problem with Zard Y so I didn't need it as much, and the speed was just the extra investment past my benchmarks.
