Slowbro @ Leftovers
Trait: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SAtk
Bold Nature
- Scald
- Fire Blast
- Psychic
- Slack Off

TankBro! This adorable bastard is the MVP of this team. Slowbro might be the best physical wall in the game. There are almost no physical threats he can't beat(the only exceptions being Choice Band Tyranitar on Crunch and Shed Skin Scrafty). Not even Breloom can beat him without getting lucky. He can also wall and beat a number of special threats, such as Politoed and Keldeo. After a long time of testing Bro in OU, I find that 3 attacks and slack off is the most consistent set. Scald is for STAB and to burn things like Tyranitar. Fire Blast destroys Scizor and Ferrothorn, common switch ins. The choice between Psychic and Ice Beam was tough, but since I had Mamoswin on the team I went with Psychic to beat stuff like Breloom, Tentacruel and Keldeo. Slowbro is probably my favorite pokemon of all time.

Jirachi @ Leftovers
Trait: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SDef
Careful Nature
- Iron Head
- Thunder Wave
- Wish
- Stealth Rock

A great partner for Slowbro, taking the electric and grass attacks aimed at him. I found the standard Paraflinch set with Stealth Rocks to fill my needs. Jirachi is also my main means of taking dragon attacks while spreading paralysis, which greatly helps my other pokemon net KOs on things they other wise wouldn't.

salamence_2.jpg

Salamence @ Lum Berry
Trait: Moxie
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SAtk / 252 Spd
Naive Nature
- Outrage
- Fire Blast
- Earthquake
- Dragon Dance

The main sweeper on my team and what a sweeper he is. Once all those pesky steel types are out of the way, Salamence is unstoppable. I try to save him for late game, where one boost will annihilate already weakened teams. I chose him over Dragonite because I like how much more offensive he is now with Moxie. Fire Blast and Earthquake are the obvious coverage moves, but Outrage does most of the work.

Gengar @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt
- Focus Blast
- Trick

I wanted a fast choice scarf user who was also a good special attacker, since my team is more physically oriented. I finally settled on Gengar. The best thing about this set is that no one sees it coming. Shadow Ball is the main STAB move, with Thunderbolt and Focus Blast as coverage. Trick ruins Chansey and Blissey's day, who would other wise give Gengar problems. I have thought about using Psychic over Thunderbolt, for sure beat fighting types.

Mamoswine @ Life Orb
Trait: Thick Fat
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Icicle Crash
- Ice Shard
- Earthquake
- Superpower

I am loving Mamo in the current meta game. With all the dragons, genies and therians running around, he has found himself a great niche in checking and killing all of them. He is also a great revenge killer and all around physical attacker. Adamant over Jolly since he needs all the power he can get. Icicle Crash, Ice Shard and Earthquake are the main STAB moves. I chose Superpower over Stone Edge to destroy Ferrothorn if I need too.

Infernape @ Life Orb
Trait: Blaze
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SAtk / 252 Spd
Naive Nature
- Close Combat
- Overheat
- U-turn
- Stone Edge

MixNape is a great pokemon to have around and I love his synergy with Slowbro. He is my main way of killing Steel types that give Salamence some trouble and busting through walls like Gliscor. Overheat burns anything that doesn't resist it. Close Combat hits everything else hard. U-turn lets him have some scouting utility and Stone Edge is for dragons.

Thanks for the rate and I appreciate any feed back

Does anyone know where to get the moving sprites for these?

Hi, snarfboywonder! Solid team. I definitely think your team would appreciate Rapid Spin support, especially when you've got Salamence, a team member weak to Stealth Rock. When it is on your field, each time Salamence will be switching in, it will lose 25% of its health, which limits its ability to switch-in and general effectiveness as a set-up sweeper. To fix this problem, I would replace Slowbro by a Toxic Spikes Tentacruel. This change won't affect your team's synergy too much, as both Tentacruel and Slowbro resist Fighting moves and are weak to Electric moves. However, Tentacruel isn't weak to Ghost, Dark, Grass and Bug moves, and isn't weak to Pursuit, which is cool! It's also a great counter to Rain teams in general, and can deal with Scizor with more ease than Slowbro. In addition, it will provide invaluable Rapid Spin support for your team, which helps Salamence to sweep. Toxic Spikes is handy to put pressure on opposing sweepers, as they have a limited time to be threatening due to the Poison. Scald is its main STAB, hitting moderately hard off Tentacruel's Base 80 Special Attack stat. It's also handy to burn opposing Ferrothorn and Scizor. Ice Beam hits Dragons, as well as the new Therian formes, which prevents them from sweeping. Finally, I would try out Hidden Power Ice over Stone Edge for Infernape, as it scores a OHKO on Gliscor and Dragonite (if Multiscale is broken!)! Cool team, and good luck!

Tentacruel @ Black Sludge | Rain Dish
Bold | 252 HP / 240 Def / 16 Spe
~ Toxic Spikes
~ Rapid Spin
~ Scald
~ Ice Beam

Thanks, I tested the Tentacruel. He just doesn't pull the same weight as Slowbro. I never really found my self needing rapid spin either, since Mence doesn't switch a lot.

Hi

Nice team, however, strong Water types with Electric coverage moves (mainly Starmie and Rotom-W) can really do some serious damage to this team. While you can possibly revenge Starmie with Gengar, switching it after something died on your team really gives Gengar's held item because Starmie usually wins on 1v1 against it (except if Hydro Pump misses of course), so I wouldn't really count on that. Rotom-W can be extremely annoying though, Hydro Pump destroys a good part of this team and it can Volt Switch on Salamence for good damage whenever you try to get on it and with SR damage stacking up you might find it a bit... unreliable. I think you'd greatly benefit of swapping your Jirachi out for a Ferrothorn, as it gives you an invaluable switch in for Hydro Pump happy teams while still having an excellent check for Dragon types and an extremely good user of entry hazards, because it can get free turns against most teams. Ferrothorn also has fantastic synergy with Slowbro, since it actually resists Electric moves that will be aimed at Slowbro often while Ferrothorn's Fire and Fighting weaknesses are covered. If you miss Jirachi's ability to spread paralysis, you can fit Thunder Wave on Ferrothorn's set, and it is extremely effective at spreading it, I'd say it is probably as effective as Jirachi.

Also to be fair I think that you might want to replace Fire Blast with Thunder Wave on Slowbro, as paralysis support helps Mamoswine so much. It's also fairly helpful for Salamence as it threatens much more threats and causes more switches (opportunities to get a DD) when the enemy team is paralyzed. Fire Blast is great and all, but Scald really cripples both Scizor and Ferrothorn on the switch if you get a bit lucky with the burn rate (and you'll have more than one opportunity), and sincerly you can deal with those alright with Infernape on your team. If you really wish to keep Fire Blast you could perhaps drop Psychic, as the stuff it covers really won't like Thunder Wave either.

Here's the set you should use:

@ Leftovers
Iron Barbs
Sassy
EVs: 252 HP / 92 Def / 168 SpD
-Power Whip
-Stealth Rock
-Spikes
-Gyro Ball

Good luck!

Hey there solid team but how would you handle Rain teams? With all of the new toys of BW2 rain sweepers like Keldeo, Starmie and Rotom-W will have fun toying with your whole team as Jirachi is 2HKO´d at best by boosted Hydro Pumps (Spec Keldeo has a high chance to OHKO), while Slowbro or Salamence do not have enough Sp.Def to tank their hits. Sub CM Keldeo also seems to ravage very easily this team as you got nothing to revenge kill it once he is under a Sub. Why not trying both of Expert Physics and Jirachi´s suggestion of running both Tentacruel and Ferrothorn? Tentacruel is a really hard counter to Keldeo and with Rain Dish + Leftovers recovering 1/8 of its health, Keldeo has no way to beat him while setting up Toxic Spikes for your team now that most Rain teams are vulnerable to them. On the other hand, Ferrothorn has a more useful typing while still being an excellent mixed wall being able to set paralysis around effectively and entry hazards as well. About Physical attackers like Terrakion, I would not worry about it as Gengar carries an inmunity to Fighting and Tentacruel can take Close Combat, while Ferrothorn can go into Stone Edge if predicted correctly. With prediction, you will be able to still beat strong physical attackers without trouble.
