Cofagrigus is a terrifying sweeper in ZU! Its fantastic natural bulk and access to Body Press and Iron Defense let it not only check physical attackers like Klinklang and Sawk but also be a scary wincon, threatening immense damage at +6 Defense. Shadow Ball nicely complements Body Press, being able to hit Fighting-immune or -resistant walls like Qwilfish, Rotom, and Palossand, while 56 Speed EVs also let Cofagrigus outspeed the latter. Rest lets Cofagrigus stay healthy throughout longer games as well as beat Pokemon that have to rely on status to beat it, like Altaria and Stunfisk. Thanks to Body Press surprising Dark-types in the tier like Skuntank, and Alolan Persian, Cofagrigus is amazing alongside teammates that appreciate Dark-types removed like Uxie and Silvally-Dark, furthermore being able to create Ghost spam cores alongside Rotom or Froslass. Since Cofagrigus is setup fodder for opposing bulky setup sweepers such as Alcremie and Spiritomb, checks to them such as Perrserker for the former and Alcremie for the latter are appreciated.
