Not A Bug Cloud Nine prevents weather effects

What type of bug are you reporting? Mechanics

What is the bug?
Hello, hope all is well in your worlds today.

I was playing randbats today and noticed what I think is a bug.
Text displayed that rain was active - however Thunder missed against a water type pokemon during this time.

Turn 1 - opener of Kyogre (Drizzle) vs Golduck (Cloud Nine)
Text shows Cloud Nine effect first, and then Drizzle.
There was no rain animation that played.

Battle started between Lunx31 and dragoontheslayer!

Lunx31 sent out Kyogre!

Go! Golduck!
[Golduck's Cloud Nine]
The effects of the weather disappeared.
[The opposing Kyogre's Drizzle]
It started to rain!

Then on Turn 1, I (Golduck) used Grass Knot while the opponent (Kyogre) used Thunder.
Despite the text showing that Rain was active, Thunder missed -- and end of turn (Rain continues to fall.) was displayed - and still no rain animation.

Turn 1

Battle timer is ON: inactive players will automatically lose when time's up. (requested by dragoontheslayer)
dragoontheslayer has 120 seconds left.

Golduck used Grass Knot!
It's super effective!
(The opposing Kyogre lost 80% of its health!)
Golduck lost some of its HP!

The opposing Kyogre used Thunder!
Golduck avoided the attack!

(Rain continues to fall.)
The opposing Kyogre restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

Are you able to replicate it? If so, how?
I tried to recreate in 1v1 against myself but was unable to -- since Golduck is faster, the Cloud Nine and Drizzle effects resolve in the proper order.

It appears as though the bug has to do with randbats and simultaneous first pokemon being sent out without a choice made by the player resulting in the weather state/data object being inconsistent or not referenced properly ??? idk man

The order doesn't matter. Cloud Nine doesn't remove weather, it just nullifies its effects while active.
