Moves
========
- Hydro Pump is a standard move on Rotom-Wash, allowing you to OHKO Mega-Diancie, Landorus-Therian and Heatran, even though KOing Heatran is dependent on the EV spread your opponent is using.
- Thunderbolt is a more accurate STAB move to be locked into if Rotom-Wash is in the position to clean up. It also helps with hitting Water-types such as Keldeo and Gyarados.
- Volt Switch allows you to get more momentum if you do not want to be locked in into Hydro Pump or Thunderbolt. It will also chip the Dragon- and Grass-types that will switch-in, such as Latios and Amoonguss.
- Nice access to Trick allows you to get rid of your Choice Scarf and cripple an opponent with it, which makes it incredibly useful for dealing with utility Pokemon such as Cresselia and Amoonguss.
- Will-O-Wisp cripples physical attackers such as Mega Kangaskhan and Mega Metagross by cutting down their Attack.
- Thunder Wave cripples fast threats such as Latios by massively slowing them down. Thunder Wave is also nice for Swift Swim users such as Ludicolo and Kingdra to slow them down for teammates.

Set Details
========
- The EV spread chosen is to hit as hard and fast as possible.
- Choice Scarf makes you go fast, being able to be a great pivot and quickly do damage.
- Using Choice Scarf allows you to OHKO Choice Scarf Landorus-Therian and outspeed it as well with a Timid nature. Also outspeeding +1 Blaziken, and Deoxys-Attack.
- You're also able to burn Mega-Kangaskhan and Mega-Metagross before they're able to move when you have a Choice Scarf, which you normally wouldn't be able to do, because now you outspeed them.

Usage Tips
========
- Rotom-Wash is a fantastic lead in a lot of situations, being able to either deal heavy damage, cripple them with status moves or being able to Volt Switch out to gain momentum. It is also good because you have a good matchup against other common leads such as Landorus-Therian and Mega-Kangaskhan.
- Rotom-Wash can also function decently well to be a late-game sweeper if all its resists are gone because of its high speed.
- Rotom-Wash's ability Levitate allows it to switch in into Ground-type moves such as Earthquake. However, only bring Rotom-Wash in on resisted hits or free switches, as it's much frailer than it's more defensive set.
- Do not use Trick on Pokemon that have a Megastone item, such as Kangaskhan or Charizard, since Trick will simply fail.
- Trick can entirely cripple an opponent's utility Pokemon such as Cresselia and Amoonguss, by locking them into one move. You can also use Trick on Trick Room attackers such as Aegislash to disable their effectiveness. They will be easier to underspeed when Trick Room is up. Also removing Rotom-Wash's Choice Scarf helps it further by being able to switch around moves.
- If you know your opponent is going to set up Trick Room, you can use Trick, which forces your opponent to either use Trick Room again or having to switch out.
- If Trick fails, you'll be vulnerable the next turn, forcing you to either use Trick again or switching out.
- Use Volt Switch if you want to get a kill quickly and immediately be out as well, giving you a lot of momentum, or when you want to get chip damage off against resisted switch-ins such as Amoonguss or Latios.
- If you have multiple moves that can net a KO, look at your opponents team because you will be locked into said move. Make sure you're locked into the best move against the opponents team.
- Being locked in into a status move can quickly make you lose offensive presence quickly and can leave Rotom-Wash a vulnerable target.

Team Options
========
- Considering Dragon-types likes Hydreigon and Latios resist Rotom-Wash's attacks, use a Fairy-type such as Mega-Gardevoir or Sylveon to kill them easily. These can also KO Kyurem-Black behind a Substitute, which Kyurem-Black sets up freely against Rotom-Wash.
- Fighting-type Pokemon such as Virizion, Keldeo and Terrakion are good at taking down Hydreigon and Kyurem-Black as well.
- Latios is a good teammate because it deals with Kyurem-Black and Hydreigon well.
- You could add Fire-types such as Heatran, Talonflame and Volcarona to kill Grass-types such as Amoonguss and Serperior easily. Flying-types such as Togekiss do this as well. Togekiss beats Dragon-types as well.
- Ice-types such as Kyurem-Black and Weavile get rid of both Grass-types and Dragon-types, Kyurem-Black has to look out for getting hit by Dragon-type attacks itself though because it's slower than Latios and Hydreigon. This is a problem unless you have a Substitute up or have good speed control.

Just a quick note about the set.

The main selling point of Choice Scarf Rotom-W is to outspeed and OHKO scarf lando-t with Hydro Pump (This will require Timid nature)

I dont have any fancy spread for this (its just Timid max spA max spd), so might as well put that temporarily.

It could probably be bench-marked with just enough speed to outspeed Lando-T and enough spA to do certain things, while the rest goes into bulk.

Unfortunately I dont know what bulk benchmarks you would even want to hit, so someone else feel free to chime in on that.

196 speed timid outspeeds landorus therian, here are some spreads idk if good

60 hp/252 special attack/196 speed timid enuf speed w/ max special attack

232 hp/80 special attack/196 speed timid lives kang return and kills lando with hydro

and then max/max like kami said is pretty good
 
I'm fairly experienced with this set.

Scarf Rotom-W functions as a disabler. By that I mean it aims to eliminate the threat of specific Pokemon - this set can neuter many Pokemon. With its fast burn, it can neuter many physical attackers such as Mega Kang and Gross before they attack. With Trick, it can neuter defensive Pokemon such as Cresselia and Amoonguss, or Pokemon reliant on the ability to switch moves such as Kyurem-B - part of this comes from the element of surprise, as people expect a normal Rotom-W set and use it as set-up bait. With its STABs (Hydro Pump being more important), it can OHKO Mega Diancie, Talonflame, and Landorus-T, with its Speed aiding some of those match-ups like Mega Diancie.

This is what I use:

As its role as a disabler, its need both WoW and Trick to disable, as otherwise it loses the ability to neuter many Pokemon. It is not necessary to have both Tbolt and Volt Switch for its role as a disabler, as both provide me with the STAB I want. Tbolt is technically better for the role as disabler thanks to the extra damage, where as Volt Switch lets Rotom-W function better as a scout (please note scouting is not Rotom-W's primary role).

Thunder Wave does not fit into this role of a disabler, benefits little from the addition of Scarf in comparison to the loss of bulk on the normal Rotom-W set and faces stiff competition from Thundurus-I if you want a fast TWave (Prankster + ability to switch moves).

The extra 4 Spe lets you outrun offensive Thundurus.

Of note, I would read the required Doubles reading guide and redo your Usage Tips. Most of your Usage Tips is about using Trick and applies to any Pokemon using Trick.

I use it mainly for my above paragraph. I don't like that much Speed (it's 196 Speed with Timid) as it detracts from its disabling ability for many other Pokemon. You either significantly subtract from both bulk or SpA. Sadly Rotom-W with its terrible base HP and decent base defences really gets a lot of mileage out of those HP EVs. Of note, you now risk of being OHKOed by Mega Kang's Return / being 2HKOed by a burnt Mega Kang. The loss of power shows too; Hydro Pump may not net the OHKO on Scarf Lando-T, even worse against bulky Lando-T sets, TBolt no longer 2HKOes offensive Thundurus-I, Hydro Pump doesn't OHKO Terrakion. The 252 HP also helps with bluffing a normal Rotom-W set.

  • I'd slash Will-O-Wisp before Thunder Wave. As great of a move as yellow magic is, I think it's generally more useful to have a fast wisp.
Moves
  • *Mega Diancie
  • Tbolt isn't just coverage, it's a more accurate STAB move to be locked into if Washtom is in the position to clean.
  • Saying that Will-O-Wisp "entirely dismantles" physical attackers is a little dramatic, especially when one of the examples you have listed has access to PuP, which will just restore it to an effective +0 anyway. Downplay this a little bit in comparison to what you have now, especially because Hydro will 2HKO either one anyway.
Set Details
  • Since the set isn't EV'd for anything in particular, mention that the spread is chosen for Washtom to hit as hard and fast as possible, then talk about what that means specifcally (outspeeding and KO'ing scarf Lando, Mega Diancie, outspeeding as Wisp'ing Mega Kang and Metagross, etc)
  • 60 HP / 252 SpA / 196 Spe / Timid still outpseed scarf Lando and +1 Blaziken and gives you enough HP to avoid the OHKO from Specs Sylv Moonblast, could deserve a mention if you aren't worried about Deo-A. Definitely asking QC on this one though
Usage Tips
  • Mention that if multiple moves can net a KO on something, it's a good idea to look at the rest of the foe's team since you'll be locked into whatever you choose
Team Options
  • Mention that anything that struggles with Lando-T or Mega Diancie works well, as this normally wouldn't be expected to outspeed and KO, and can get rid of them in a pinch. Especially good examples are ones that also beat either Dragons or Grasses for Rotom (Char Y, Talon, etc)

Check with QC before implementing, hope I helped!

If you don't add some capitalization then GP is gonna eat you alive. I guess if you want it's fine to leave as is for now, but when you write it up please add some capital letters

Finally got around to do this after getting nagged by checkmater75 lol. BTW, I did take a few things from your AM check, but I think you got quite caught up on the prose and semantics kinda side of things, which is more of a thing for after the write up and into the GP checks. If you want to improve your checks look into the kind of things QC members have pointed out in previous checks on that analysis or another. Also I'd recommend reading the Doubles C & C Guide to see what kind of things we are looking for in an analysis.

BTW Melo, there's no Check's and Counters tag section since this is just a set analysis. Also tag me once implemented before you put 2/3. No caps is painful to read ;-;.

Moves
  • Mention that Hydro Pump hits Landorus-T (kinda the main crux of the set :P) and Heatran as well, although it is a roll to OHKO Heatran depending on spread.
  • Give examples of relevant Water-types that Thunderbolt hits.
  • Mention that Volt Switch lets Rotom chip the Dragon- and Grass-types that will switch into it, and give an example for each.
  • Typo - "...useful for dealing..." also the plural of Pokemon is still Pokemon, not 'Pokemons' :B.
  • Right now you imply that Latios is faster than Scarf Rotom-W, which it shouldn't be, so change 'faster' to 'fast'. Remove the mention of the chance to not move for paralysis, as this is a bit too detailed, and already covered under 'crippled'. Also, mention that Thunder Wave is also nice for Swift Swim users such as Ludicolo and Kingdra to slow them down for teammates.
Set Details
  • Specify that it's +1 Blaziken that the EVs allow you to outspeed with Choice Scarf. Also you have the same bullet point twice basically, so remove the first version of it please.
  • Move the point about burning Mega Metagross and Mega Kangaskhan to the earlier point about the Speed, where the Choice Scarf mention will be, and say that Choice Scarf allows Rotom-W to do that.
  • Remove mentions of Special Attack investment allowing you to OHKO Mega Diancie and Landorus-T, as with no investment you already have a good shot at OHKOing both. You still have it covered in the first point.
  • Move the mention of Choice Scarf to the earlier point about what the EVs allow you to outspeed.
Usage Tips
  • Mention that Rotom-W also does well as a lead because it does well against common leads such as Landorus-T and Mega Kangaskhan.
  • It's not actually Rotom-W's typing which gives it and Earthquake immunity, it's Levitate lol :P. Change this point to how Rotom-W should only be brought in on resisted hits or free switches, as it is much frailer than it's bulkier counterpart.
  • Remove the first "do not use trick on" bullet point IMO, as you should obviously not be using Trick on Landorus-T lol, and you don't really want to stay in on Sylveon either way. Rotom-W also has a similar situation against the other most "common" choice users such as Talonflame, Gyarados, Victini, and Gensect, where it's better to just attack than trick by a longshot.
  • For the next bullet point again on Trick, remove "are likely to" as the vast majority of the time a team's mega is quite clear, especially for the examples mentioned.
  • Trick technically doesn't make an opponent only be able to use one move, it just locks them into one move (until they switch out).
  • Condense the two points on using Trick against members of Trick Room teams to say that being choice locked will cripple them, especially setters, and mention they will be easier to underspeed while Trick Room is up. Also removing Rotom-W's scarf will allow it to switch moves, which further helps it.
  • Mention that being locked into a status move can quickly lose offensive pressure, and can leave Rotom as a vulnerable target.
  • Change the point about Volt Switch to using it for getting chip damage on resisted switch-ins such as Amoonguss and Latios.
  • For the last point make sure to mention that you want to be locked into the move that does best against the opponent's team.
Team Options
  • It's not so much that Rotom-W can't hit Dragons or Grasses super effectively, but more that they resist its moves. Remove that bit from both points, and just say that the Pokemon you're suggesting can deal with or handle Dragon- and Grass-types respectively.
  • For partners to hit Dragons, mention Latios to KO Hydreigon and Kyurem-B as well as pressuring other Latios offensively.
  • IDK about Rotom-W on sun tbh, since Hydro Pump is quite weak, meaning Zapdos or Thundurs would be better for an Electric-type. Change Mega Charizard Y to Heatran and Talonflame; then condense the points about Fire-types and Flying-types together. Just remove Talonflame from the Flying-types and say "other Flying-types such as Togekiss..." or similar.
  • Remove the last point as it's just summarizing what you've already said. If you want, mention in earlier points how in return Rotom-W can remove Landorus-T and Mega Diancie for the Fire-types and Dragon-types.
 
A few more minor things before write-up :P. (Tell me when you implement before I give 2/3)

Moves
  • It's spelt dependent, also the roll on Heatran is dependent on their spread, not yours (since you'll always be max Special Attack, neutral nature).
  • Change Serperior to Amoonguss, Amoonguss is way more relevant, and Serperior isn't even on the viability rankings (we both know it should be though ;_;). Also if you're thinking chipping a mon with regenerator is pointless, you weaken it for attacks next turn (e.g. you Volt Switch into Latios, which now gets a guaranteed OHKO with Psychic).
  • There's no hyphen in Mega Kangaskhan nor Mega Metagross (a minor thing but still :P).
  • Remove mention of full paras, as that's a bit too in depth (and also already covered under crippled tbh).
Set Details
  • Specify on the last two bullet points (on each one individually!!!) that you need Choice Scarf to achieve this.
Usage Tips
  • Say that Rotom-W can work well as a late game sweeper due to it's high speed.
  • Change "bulkier counterpart" to "more defensive set" as right now it sounds like you could be on about a different forme.
  • Mention that Trick failing leaves Rotom-W vulnerable on the next turn, as it will be forced to use Trick again or switch out.
  • Mention that removing Rotom-W's Choice Scarf "helps it further" by allowing it to switch moves freely.
Team Options
  • Mention that Fairy-type Hyper Voice users (i.e. what you mentioned) can KO Kyurem-B behind a Sub, which it freely makes on Rotom-W.
  • Move the Latios mention to after the Fighting-type Pokemon to help the flow of things. Also it doesn't reliably beat other Latios, but it does outspeed and KO Hydreigon (change the mention of beating Latios to Hydreigon).
  • Mention that Togekiss also beats Dragon-types.
  • Mention that Kyurem-B has to watch out for Dragon attacks because it's slower, however being behind a Sub or having speed control counteracts this.
  • When you first mention Dragon-types give examples, and give a releveant example for Grass types.

  • remove the part about using rotom as a trick room check by giving the setter a scarf. they obviously wont just stay in and trick room again and u cant outspeed+trick them if trick room is already up.

  • as rotom isnt exactly an offensive powerhouse and because its more of a support mon, there should be greater emphasis on what mons appreciate rotom's help the most.
  • for example, mons that appreciate rotom's ability to pivot well should be noted. mons such as landorus and scrafty fit under this category because of intimidate, meaning that they need switch in frequently
  • mons that need support against landorus, such as diancie and charizard, also benefit from having rotom on their team
  • mention the notion of fighting types beating kyurem before you talk about how good of a teammate kyurem is. its weird how u alternate between saying its a threat and saying that its a good teammate, it disrupts the flow
  • replace keldeo with terrakion. i dont think its a very good idea to recommend double waters outside of rain

Hydro Pump is a standard move on Rotom-Wash, allowing you it to OHKO Mega Diancie, Landorus-Therian, (AC) and sometimes Heatran, even though KOing Heatran is dependent on the EV spread your opponent is using depending on the latter's EV spread. You also have Thunderbolt, which is a more accurate STAB move to be locked into if Rotom-Wash is in the a position to clean up, and it this also helps you deal with Water-types. Volt Switch allows Rotom-W you to get more momentum if you do not want to be locked in it into Hydro Pump or Thunderbolt. The move This will also chips the Dragon- and Grass-types that will switch in, such as Latios and Amoonguss. Trick allows you Rotom-W to get rid of your its Choice Scarf and cripple an opponent foe with it, which makes it incredibly useful for dealing with utility Pokemon such as Cresselia and Amoonguss. Will-O-Wisp and Thunder Wave are also great moves to cripple your opponents foes. Will-O-Wisp is effective versus physical attackers such as Mega Kangaskhan and Mega Metagross, (AC) while Thunder Wave cripples fast threats such as Latios and Serperior, which Rotom-W normally can't threaten, by massively slowing them down.

Set Details
========
The main reason to use Choice Scarf on Rotom-Wash is to being able to outspeed Landorus-Therian. With Hydro Pump the listed EV spread, Rotom-W you can kill KO Landorus-Therian with Hydro Pump before it moves. Using this EV spread makes you able to do that. You Rotom-W also outspeeds Deoxys-Attack and +1 speed Blaziken, and you're able to and can burn Mega Kangaskhan and Mega Metagross with Will-O-Wisp before they are able to move, which it you normally wouldn't be able to do without a Choice Scarf. Sets that use Thunder Wave benefit as well, by slowing down normally other fast targets such as Latios and Serperior, which Rotom-Wash normally wouldn't threaten. Usage Tips
========
Rotom-Wash is a fantastic lead in a lot of situations, being able to either deal heavy damage, cripple foes them with status moves, (AC) or being able to use Volt Switch out to gain momentum. It is also good because you have has a good matchup against other common leads such as Landorus-Therian and Mega Kangaskhan. Rotom-Wash also functions decently well as a late-game sweeper if all of its checks resists are gone thanks to because of its high Speed. Rotom-Wash's ability Levitate allows it to switch in into Ground-type moves such as Earthquake. You should However, only bring this Rotom-Wash set in on resisted hits or free switches, as it's much frailer than its defensive sets. Trick can entirely cripple an opponent's utility Pokemon such as Cresselia and or Amoonguss, (RC) by locking them into one move. You can also use Trick on Trick Room attackers such as Aegislash to be able to underspeed them in Trick Room. Removing Rotom-Wash's Choice Scarf helps it further by allowing it being able to switch around moves. Do not use Trick on Pokemon that have a Mega Stone item, such as Kangaskhan or and Charizard, as since Trick will simply fail. If Trick Fails, you'll and Rotom-W will be vulnerable the next turn, forcing you to either use Trick again or switching out. Being locked in into a status move can quickly make you lose offensive presence and can leave Rotom-Wash a vulnerable target. Use Volt Switch if you want to get a quick KO kill quickly and immediately switch be out as well, giving you a lot of momentum, or when you want to get chip damage off against resisted resistant switch-ins such as Amoonguss or and Latios. If you have multiple moves that can net a KO, look at your opponent's team and make sure to choose the best move to lock Rotom-W into because you will be locked into said move. Make sure you're locked into the best move against the opponents team.

Team Options
========
Good teammates for Rotom-Wash would be Pokemon that appreciate its Rotom-Wash' ability to pivot well to switch them in often, such as Landorus-Therian and Scrafty, that want to switch in often. Pokemons that normally would have a poor matchup versus Landorus-Therian such as Mega Diancie and Mega Charizard Y appreciate Rotom-W's your ability to kill deal with it Landorus-Therian easily. Considering Dragon-types like Hydreigon and Latios resist Rotom-Wash's attacks, you should use a Fairy-type such as Mega Gardevoir or Sylveon to kill KO them easily. They can also KO Kyurem-B through its Substitute, which it sets up freely against Rotom-W. Fighting-type Pokemon such as Virizion and Terrakion are good at taking down Hydreigon and Kyurem-Black as well. These can also KO Kyurem-Black behind a Substitute, which Kyurem-Black sets up freely against Rotom-Wash. Ice-types such as Kyurem-Black and Weavile get rid of both Grass-types and Dragon-types, though Kyurem-Black has to look out for getting hit by Dragon-type attacks itself though because it's slower than Latios and Hydreigon. This is a problem unless you have Kyurem-B has a Substitute up or your team has have good speed control. You could also add Fire-types such as Heatran, Talonflame, (AC) and Volcarona to kill deal with Grass-types such as Amoonguss and Serperior easily. Flying-types such as Togekiss do this as well, with while Togekiss also beatsing Dragon-types.
