This team was Heavily inspired by the idea of Pinkacross

I was looking thru a Pokémon list, trying to find Pokemon to make a team that HAD a Pokémon that was under used.
untill I saw Pinkacross mentioning Speed boosted choice band Sharpedo and it was an amazing idea. Tho I had no idea how to make it.

Using the team building guide from pinkacrosses Semi rain team I came up with this team

Sharpedo @ Choice Band
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Flip Turn
- Close Combat
- Liquidation
- Crunch

sharpedo the main Pokémon that would sweep and do damage, only problem with this Pokémon is that it’s incredibly frail.
Besides from that this Pokémon can become a huge sweeper and outspeeds everything!
Speed boost helps it out speed Zeraora And Dragapult Both Pokémon that can dish out a lot of damage and are fast.
the evs are self explainable, speed to hit first and attack to do a lot of damage.
flip turn is for predicting people To switch into a bulky water such as toxapex and get in another Pokémon to check it.
close combat is for heavy damage, Plus defense and special defense being lowered does not matter when your OKHOing Pokemon and getting faster every turn Meaning no ones gonna hit you Plus psychic terrain Helps with priority moves.
liquidation for stab and damage
same for crunch as well, I was gonna put psychic fangs here for urshifu but if we are locked into another move it’s pretty much useless and the next Pokémon already checks it. Plus for stab and dragapult check.

Tapu Lele @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Psychic Surge
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Future Sight
- Moonblast
- Psyshock
- Focus Blast

Tapu lele is suppose to check Pokémon that pretty much counter sharpedo.
Future sight for Damage to help Sharpedo break bulky pokemon.
moonblast for urshifu and other fighting types plus for dragons too obviously, Like dragapult.
Psyshock To not get walled by Blissey or any bulky special defense like Galarian Slow-king.
Finally focus blast is to kill ferrothorns And melmetals that tank Sharpedos hit

Landorus-Therian (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 248 HP / 104 Def / 156 SpD
Careful Nature
IVs: 28 Spe
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Toxic

landorus For Electric immunity and ground immunity as both types can just spam my Pokémon to death and threaten sharpedo.
Stealth rocks for chip to damage Pokémon such as bulky Pokémon for Sharpedo to kill or chip dmg.
Earthquake is for Pure damage, which helps against killing slow-king galar And chipping melmetal to kill it using sharpedo.
U-turn obviously for momentum and predicting switch-ins.
Toxic to weaken Bulky Pokémon like Ground types and Pokémon that lives hits from sharpedo mostly.
Evs to ensure to survive a hit from both special attackers and Physical Attackers

Corviknight @ Shed Shell
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 168 Def / 88 SpD
Impish Nature
- Defog
- Roost
- Body Press
- U-turn

Corviknight is to check Weavile as it can just click free Triple axel and do tons of damage to my pokemon.
Shed shell is mainly to be able to defog On a team that has magnezone without getting traped if there’s a lot of hazards.
Roost for Healing to survive a lot longer.
Body Press obviously to check weavile which this is what this Pokémon is here for.
Again U-turn for predicting switchins and momentum.
the Evs are mixed of special defense and defense to survive both hits And be more bulky.

Blissey (F) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 176 Def / 80 SpD
Careful Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Seismic Toss
- Soft-Boiled
- Toxic
- Aromatherapy

Sense I have a weavile check I have to have a kyruem check as well because ice beam and freeze dry Destroy my team And Corviknight can not handle the pressure of kyruem.
Seismic Toss for chip damage.
Softboiled to survive longer and heal.
toxic to chip down bulky Pokémon and possibly Special attackers.
aromatherapy to cure Sharpedo of Burn or paralyze sense Zapdos and moltres and Flame body is a thing plus it would be bad if Sharpedo got statused.
Originally I was putting all defense plus bold nature but after a round of testing Blissey could get 2 shotted At 80% hp from a kyruem with focus blast From probably choice specs kyruem I dont know tho, Either way I invested evs more into special defense and careful nature. This is bad because if stealths rocks and spikes are up it’s a problem.

Heatran @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 80 HP / 252 SpA / 176 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Magma Storm
- Toxic
- Taunt
- Earth Power

I think this Pokémon needs to be mainly switched with a different one, but I don’t know what to switch this Pokémon with.
The reason heatran here is because I have 2 flying types on my team and earthquake won’t be a problem As landorus dosent really touch corviknight the main earthquaker plus Corviknight is just an overall good dealer against physical attacks except zeraora which landorus nicely checks, Heatran is also able to take hits from special attackers and dish out a lot of damage and break bulky Pokémon using taunt. Plus fire immunity is nice considering Special attackers with flamethrower or fire blast will try to hit Corviknight which heatran could come in and take the hit and assuming if they have a special attack they have to be a special attacker or mixed attacker which the defense on heatran Could help it take physical damage.

CONCLUSION:
I know this team is not the best and that’s why I posted this team here to get some feed back and make sharpedo a bit better.
Also understand this I’m a bit new to smogon and I’m only at 1400+ in Gen 8 OU so my team won’t be to great.
Either way, please have a nice day.

Sorry no replays But I’ll put them soon if i play on this team more.

hi, interesting team
the biggest weakness i see in the team is that you lack a water resist (a real one, sharpedo doesn't count), so urshifu and rain (with barraskewda) destroy you
you could try physically defensive tapu fini > corviknight to patch up this weakness

Tapu Fini @ Leftovers
Ability: Misty Surge
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature
- Moonblast
- Nature's Madness / Scald
- Defog
- Knock Off

i like knock off here because with it you can eliminate toxapex's shed shell and trap it with heatran, wich opens the door for a sharpedo sweep.

i would also try to fit teleport on blissey to have an additional pivot to get your frail beaters in, and make sharpedo adamant, since you still outspeed everything but regieleki after a boost

Hi man!

Absolutely LOVE seeing fresh mons being used in OU and choice band sharpedo definitely is one.
that being said, a cb flip turn sharpedo + scarf lele SCREAMS magnezone to me. it's so much easier for the sharpedo user to not being forced to predict against ferrothorn, because flip turn allows magnezone to easily trap it. it also deters common rocky helmet users like skarmory or corviknight to chip the shark via haphazardly switching into flip turn. melmetal is also a threat that magnezone covers. with chople, it can live a hit from kartana and hit with a powerful body press

in general, i would take a more offensive - i should rather say less passive - approach since you're most likely going to finish the game with either sharpedo or tapu lele and they both need a lot of chip damage on the opposing team. also, the defensive backbone has holes here and there. stuff like non-teleport blissey really drains momentum and just gives free turns to heal and stuff. lando + corvi is a tried and trusted core that provides high-level support like rock+defog and slow uturn so they can stay.

as good as heatran is, I think he can go, especially because you need an urshifu check as it was already stated. tapu fini is a very good shout and it can also fulfill the same role as heatran: trapping pex. its classic whirlpool+nature's madness set is a good fit on this team because it improves matchup against fat tremendously, as the team would struggle otherwise.
Also, I think sharpedo can freely run adamant since it still outspeeds zeraora and dragapult at +1. this way its attack pack way more of a punch.

TEAM
I believe this version of the team is more suited to a sharpedo+scarf lele core (which i love btw): reliable volturn, reliable means to dispose of annoying threats for both and overall decent matchup vs common trends despite sharpedo's only defensive utility is blanking lele's psychic and taking one shadowball from specs pult.

hope you find these suggestions useful and have success with your team!

AYYYY BAND SHARK! I'm so glad you liked my idea and worked to develop it. I'm still working on CB Sharpedo myself, and this team gives me an interesting new take on it. The recommendations made by others here are also something I can think about. I agree that the team does need to be a bit less passive though. Sharpedo's niche is Speed Boost, and lategame sweeps with powerful Dark stab. It needs to be built with pokemon that can break down the opponents team to this level, and be with pokemon that bring in and pivot on Shark food. If you want help improving the team or making a v2, feel free to contact me! :)
