Its high Attack and Speed combined with its good STAB moves and Choice Band to bolster its damage even further make it extremely difficult to handle. Lash Out can be used over Crunch to hit Intimidate Corviknight harder. Ice Shard helps to pick up KOs on weakened, faster foes like Galarian Zapdos and Choice Scarf Roaring Moon; it can also OHKO frail targets like Hisuian Electrode from full HP. Sacred Sword hits Dark-, Steel-, and Rock-types like Kingambit, Heatran, and Garganacl. Chien-Pao can have a hard time breaking through defensive Pokemon like Intimidate Corviknight and Quaquaval, making partners like Gouging Fire and Dragonite appreciated. Choice Scarf users like Walking Wake can be tough foes for Chien-Pao, forcing it out; this makes slow pivots like Meloetta and RegenVest Manaphy good teammates, as they can deal with these Choice Scarf users and also help bring it in safely after taking a hit. Chien-Pao also can appreciate slow pivots like Deoxys-D, Corviknight, and Swampert, which can help it not be worn down easily due to its poor defenses. Choice Scarf users like Walking Wake and Galarian Zapdos can be tough opponents for Chien-Pao forcing it out, which makes defensive Pokemon like Meloetta and Corviknight good teammates. Might be worth just merging the sentences together, defensive pivots help to check Choice Scarfers trying to revenge it and also get position it properly, also Scarf Gapdos is a bit odd with its Shard weakness and talking about it about the matchup as "tough" is a bit weird imo as they can't switch in and so Chien-Pao doesn't really care to see it on preview Chien-Pao's weakness to Stealth Rock can become a problem quickly if not accounted for, making hazard removers like Great Tusk and Mandibuzz good partners.
