OLD GREGG (im back baby)

old gregg for life

This is going to be a fairly simple RMT. I'm not going into great detail. A lot of this should be self-explanatory and obvious.
The crux of this team is being able to take hits while crippling the opponent.

My physical wall, rock setter, and phaser . Mega-Aggron is an incredible dedicated physical wall.
Able to eat Earthquakes for breakfast.
It has great synergy with the rest of the team. The synergy between Mega-Aggron, Togekiss, and Swampert especially, is kind of good.

Aggron @ Aggronite
Ability: Sturdy
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Thunder Wave
- Heavy Slam
- Dragon Tail

Togekiss is a good pokemon and if it stays in UU, then it will surely make a huge impact.
The role it takes on in this team is to defog and late game sweep. Serence Grace + Air Slash enough said.

Togekiss @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 108 HP / 252 SpA / 148 Spe
Modest Nature
- Air Slash
- Defog
- Nasty Plot
- Roost

Porygon 2 is my dedicated special wall, which makes a lot of sense.
Porygon 2 has one weakness, which is fighting.
Fighting types have two moves that hit on the special side: Focus Blast and Aura Sphere.
One is infamous for terrible accuracy and the other is very sparsely distributed.
Togekiss is 4x resistant to fighting while Victini and Espeon are 2x resistant. It is a big headache for specially inclined teams, spreading T-Wave and hitting respectably with Tri-Attack.

Porygon2 @ Eviolite
Ability: Download
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Tri Attack
- Signal Beam
- Recover
- Thunder Wave

This set has one purpose in life, which catches a lot of people off guard:
Cripple the opponent.
It will trick a scarf onto your Sableye, Suicune, or Blissey. It will burn your physical attackers and paralyze your special attackers. Uncommon role for Victini, but not a bad role.

Victini @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Victory Star
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Will-O-Wisp
- V-Create
- Thunder Wave
- Trick

Choice banded Swampert hits really hard and has nice coverage.
Once my minions have thoroughly crippled the opposing team Swampert gets to come in and clean up. This is the standard Smogon recommended stat spread and moveset. Swampert helps to patch up any difficulty I might have with electric types.

Swampert @ Choice Band
Ability: Torrent
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 204 HP / 252 Atk / 52 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Ice Punch
- Superpower
- Waterfall

The final member of my team is Espeon. It has a couple roles which it performs admirably.
The key role it has is to Bounce back Toxic, Will-O-Wisp, T-Wave, and Hazards. It plays a secondary role as a fast cleric that is capable of stalling and threatening utility pokemon such as Blissey and Forrestress.
The Evs are standard although if anyone could come up with a better spread for this role, I would be grateful.

Espeon @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Bounce
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Heal Bell
- Psyshock
- Morning Sun
- Hidden Power [Fire]

That about sums it up. Burn the physical attackers, paralyze the special attackers, and set up the path for the rest of the team to clean up. Really just fishing for tips on how to improve this concept. Especially looking for tips about my Ev spreads, please.

Hi :] Cool team using a few of the new drops but I have a couple of suggestions. (although I don't condone your mexican strategy of spamming Thunder Wave)

Firstly, I think that having both Mega Aggron and Swampert is fairly redundant, as their role as a Physical wall kind of overlaps and Swampert's Choice Band set isn't really that good. With that being said, I think you should change your Swampert to a Defensive set and try out Mega Ampharos in place of Aggron.

Swampert @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 240 HP / 16 Atk / 252 Def
Relaxed Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Roar / Toxic
- Earthquake
- Scald

ampharos-mega.gif

Ampharos @ Ampharosite
Ability: Static
EVs: 208 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 44 Spe
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch
- Focus Blast
- Dragon Pulse

My final suggestion large suggestion I would recommend is changing Espeon for Alakazam. While Magic Bounce is nice to have, Espeon can't switch in to any Stealth Rocker in the tier as it has pretty horrific physical Defense. Alakazam provides you with a fast revenge killer and also still a very good option vs Stall due to Calm Mind and Magic Guard.

alakazam.gif

Alakazam @ Focus Sash
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Calm Mind
- Psyshock
- Shadow Ball
- Dazzling Gleam

As for moveset changes, I reckon putting Bolt Strike over Thunder Wave and U-turn over Will-o-Wisp on Victini in order to take advantage of the fact it is a Choice Scarf Pokemon and should therefore be used as an attacker as opposed to a status spreader. I would also recommend Shadow Ball over Signal Beam on Porygon2 since it grants you perfect neutral coverage n_n

That is all, I hope these suggestions help and good luck with UU! :]
