Hey guys, Iplaymysnes here with a few challenges that hopefully you guys might like. Some challenges are based off of other game series such as metroid while others take a different style. I'll list the first one I made and put down more as I go.
Persona Challenge Run A.K.A Tartarus Run
This run is partially based off of the Nuzlocke original run (not Smogon's version) but also adds a few extra challenges.
Rule 1. You don't have to do this rule, but if you do decide to, name your character out of these names.
Boy: Minato, Yu, or Souji
Girl: Minako, Josei, or Maya
Along with the rival having a name as well: Nyx, Joker, Adachi, or Takaya.
Rule 2. This is the main rule of this run. You have to catch One Pokemon per route. Once you catch one pokemon, you cannot recapture it on any other route. Also you cannot catch any other pokemon on that specific route, but you can catch them on other routes. Evolutions of pokemon you have cannot be caught and you cannot release a pokemon once you catch it. (Think wisely people!) Legendary Pokemon aren't allowed, you must defeat them.
Rule 3. If you have a party of six pokemon and catch a new pokemon, that new pokemon must replace one of your team members. The starter cannot be switched out for any reason whatsoever.
Rule 4. Your starter must be used in every battle and if it faints, the game is over and you must restart from your last save.
Rule 5. If any pokemon other than the starter faints, you cannot use it for a day (when you pass through two towns it counts as a day). Any pokemon in the box cannot be switched in unless another pokemon faints. Pokemon that faint during gym leader battles can still be used afterwards (consider it an instant revive). This rule doesn't apply until defeating the first gym.
Rule 6. After fighting a gym leader, you may switch two pokemon (not the starter) with two in your box. Rival battles and event battles (team rocket battles) do not count as gym leader battles.
Rule 7. When inside forests, caves, or any other dungeon-like areas, (Not including bike-routes) You are not allowed to leave once you enter. Any pokemon that faints cannot be brought back until clearing the dungeon. Make sure you fill up your pokemon and buy extra potions and revives. Also escape ropes can be used to escape if you feel the need to.
Rule 8. Pokemon will get tired after a certain number of days. This number will depend upon how many badges you have. (Flying counts as a passing through one town)
0 & 1. 8 days (16 towns)
2. 7 days (14 towns)
3. 6 days (12 towns)
4. 5 days (10 towns)
5. 3 days (6 towns)
6. 2 days (4 towns)
7 & 8. 1 day (2 towns)
Your starter never tires and therefore is more dependable.
Rule 9. You must keep your starter's level above your highest non-starter pokemon.
Rule 10. At the elite four, you can select your team from all the pokemon you've collected but you cannot catch anymore nor switch your starter. Level grinding is allowed however for this part.
