Right now with this team im around 1400 rating.
Sneasler @ Choice Band
Ability: Poison Touch
Tera Type: Fighting
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Dire Claw
- U-turn
- Fire Punch
I started this team with sneasler, because u turning and getting random poisons is fun. Sneasler is a fsat attacker that can yeet a great many mons (besides great tusk) with fire punch as coverage. most offensive mons that dont outspeed just drop to the choice band, and bulkier mons are chunked decently hard with the right prediction. Dire claw rng also helps with stuff in addition to the thirty percent poison from poison touch. This just lets me sting them with a u turn plus poison and switch into something else
Cinderace @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Blaze
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 224 HP / 32 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Pyro Ball
- U-turn
- Will-O-Wisp
- Court Change
The only source of hazard control. keeping hazards off the field is very good for this team, because most of the team really needs to not get chipped repeatedly. The reason i used cinderace instead of a spinner or defogger is becuase due to the general frailty of most pokemon, getting into prediction wars with gholdengo can lose to much offensive pressure. with cinderace I can use the opponents hazards against them to help chip stuff into range, and also cinderace helps with kingambit and gholdengo, with the strong base power of pyroball + blaze. letting it overcome the lack of attack investment. will o wisp is for disruption and u turn for pivoting, standard stuff.
Enamorus (F) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Contrary
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Moonblast
- Earth Power
- Mystical Fire
- Healing Wish
Sneasler can struggle against walls like dondozo and great tusk, so having a strong special attacker alleviates the pressure from them somewhat. its also a very good revenge killer, due to the scarf. It helps kill any dragon types, especially dragapult which threatens sneasler with specs dracos, and can also revenge kill dragonite at +1 after multiscale has been broken. Zamazenta, which can be scary for this team, especially if running psychic fangs, also just dies to enamorus.
Hoopa-Unbound @ Assault Vest
Ability: Magician
Tera Type: Poison
EVs: 248 HP / 96 Atk / 72 Def / 76 SpA / 16 Spe
Lonely Nature
- Knock Off
- Psychic
- Drain Punch
- Thunderbolt
I don't really have a particularily good reason for av hoopa unbound, besides that i felt that i had offense covered with the rest of the mons. I tried hisuian goodra, but felt it was too passive. I wanted a wall that could hit back, and hoopa hits back pretty hard. obviously being weak to fairy is a terrible diesease in this meta game, but with tera poison it can emergency check both enamorus and iron valiant, with tbolt for enam and psychic/drain punch (if its tera steel) for iron valiant. I would like to get rid of it though, because dying to every single u turn is super annoying, but i cant think of a good replacement atm
Zapdos @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Static
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 HP / 104 Def / 152 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Roost
- Volt Switch
- Hurricane
- Heat Wave
with the special side covered, i decided to use zapdos to help deal with the physical side. volt switch on zapdos along with u turn on both cinderace and sneasler help allow for positionioning to maintain pressure or get some chip when playing defense. it can deal with kingambit fairly well with heatwave+static, assuming no sd. sd kingambit is obviously dangerous, but a decent amount of kingambits have starting dropping either sd or kowtow, or sucker for low kick for the gambit mirror, which helps zapdos defeat it even better. Static paras also can come in clutch against physical sweepers.
Ursaluna @ Flame Orb
Ability: Guts
Tera Type: Normal
EVs: 116 HP / 252 Atk / 140 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Facade
- Headlong Rush
- Fire Punch
Ursaluna's just ursaluna. i didn't have a really good idea for this slot, until i played against a stall team and just got destroyed very slowly after like 30 minutes. This thing just destroys stall. Sneasler and enamorous can deal with one or two defensive mons on a balance team, but against stall they are out of their league. With ursaluna, i just need to position it against the correct pokemon, click swords dance, and then click facade. It destroys stall, and can help beat things that sneasler and enam cant break. ursaluna=good
