Can't log in: "You have been disconnected – possibly because the server was restarted."

My laptop broke, so I hooked up an older computer with windows XP, but whenever I try to play either in browser or the client, I just get "You have been disconnected – possibly because the server was restarted.".

How can I connect?

This usually happens when either the server is restarted or your internet fails, check your internet? Does anyone esle use the same internet connection as you? You could have been banned by them. It's been over a day, I'm the only person using my internet and the only person who uses showdown on my IP.

I'm unsure if this will resolve your issue, but have you tried using a different web browser and seeing if the problem persists?

Like what other people have said here. You will get that message when the server is resetting or you simply can't connect to the servers. If the problem is persisting try it another browser.

So do you have any message like "You are banned" or just that you were disconnected
