Welcome to the SV Camomons Comeback Tournament! Camomons was recently chosen to be the LCOTM for January, and we have decided to host a swiss tournament to capitalize on all of the recent metagame shifts and changes. This tournament is also a great opportunity to encourage some more activity and enjoy a metagame that has a lot of potential for innovation. Do note that the ladder has now run out, so the only way to play is by directly challenging.
The amount of rounds, as well as number of people in top cut, will entirely depend on the amount of signups. However, the number of people qualifying for top cut will always be a power of 2, and resistance will be used as a tiebreaker.
Top cut will be a Best-of-Three, single elimination tournament, where we will determine the overall winner of the tournament.
There's a 100$ PRIZE POOL split between the top 4, so the winner will receive 50$, the runner up will receive 25$, and both semifinalists will fight to determine who is 3rd and 4th, and they will receive 15$ and 10$, respectively.

- The banlist for this tournament is the same as the Camomons format of the Smogon University server of Pokemon Showdown, and can be found here.
- All rounds, whether in the Qualifying Swiss Rounds or Single-Elimination Playoff, will be in a Best-of-Three series, and each round will last for seven days.
- In the Qualifying Swiss Rounds, we encourage everyone to play even despite having a not-so-appealing record, as not playing could potentially lead to some people gaining an unfair advantage or disadvantage based on who they play against. It also gives the Camomons council a wider range of replays to look though, leading to more accurate tiering decisions that improve the overall quality of the metagame.
- In any case, if a participant opts to drop out of the tournament, there will be substitutes taking place; however, the substituted participant has to continue where the dropped participant left off (the record will carry).
- If metagame changes occur during the middle of a round, they will take effect in the subsequent round.
- Battles must take place on Pokemon Showdown! main server.
- Replays must be posted alongside the result. The tournament host reserves the right to deny the results of a series if replays are not included.
- Do not make baseless activity posts; get in contact with your opponent and report missed times / scheduling issues only.
Camomons is only playable by directly challenging an opponent, and it is found under the "Challengeable OMs" section. If you are looking for somebody to test teams against, you can do so by joining the Camomons Discord found below, and ping the role "SV Camo". You can also add this role to yourself.

Sign-ups will be open for about week, closing on the 2nd of March at the latest. We will consider accepting subsitutes before the first round ends. Feel free to ask the hosts if something about the tournament isn't clear!
