Set Description
=========

Using its wonderful Speed stat, Tapu Koko poses an immense threat with Calm Mind boosts, being able to clean up weakened teams late-game with its Terrain-boosted Thunderbolt. Dazzling Gleam allows Tapu Koko to cleave through the likes of Dragapult and Electric-immune Pokemon such as Landorus-T, Garchomp, and Zeraora. Roost allows it to shrug off attacks from foes like Zapdos and Tornadus-T while using them as setup fodder. Tapu Koko wields a Timid nature to outrun the likes of Weavile and Modest Dragapult, stopping them from revenge killing it while boosted. Heavy-Duty Boots allows it to ignore entry hazards, giving it even more setup opportunities.

Team Options
========

Tapu Koko fits well on balance and semi-stall teams that appreciate its high Speed and ability to both revenge kill and act as a wincon. Entry hazards like Stealth Rock and more notably Spikes synergize incredibly with Tapu Koko, as they work away at checks like Galarian Slowking, Gastrodon, and opposing Ferrothorn, paving a way for Tapu Koko to clean up late-game; therefore, hazard setters like Hippowdon, Ferrothorn, and Skarmory are good partners. Ferrothorn is a notable hazard setter as it's able to remove Heavy-Duty Boots from Pokemon like Blissey with Knock Off, opening them up to hazard damage. Wallbreakers like Victini and Urshifu-R work well against Tapu Koko's checks like Ferrothorn, specially defensive Heatran, and Blissey, and the Terrain that Tapu Koko sets boosts Bolt Strike and Thunder Punch in return, helping Victini and Urshifu-R against the likes of Slowbro and Toxapex. Offensive Ground-types like Excadrill and Landorus-T, which can take a hit and threaten Tapu Koko in return, are extremely threatening, so defensive checks like Slowbro and Buzzwole make for great teammates.

Entry hazard setters like Landorus-T, Ferrothorn, and Skarmory can work away at Tapu Koko's checks, such as opposing Ferrothorn and Hippowdon, with the first two being able to use Knock Off to remove Leftovers from opposing Ferrothorn and Landorus-T. spikes is especially valuable, note that Assault Vest from Galarian Slowking, and Heavy-Duty Boots from Blissey. Wallbreakers like Victini and Garchomp work well against Tapu Koko's checks like Ferrothorn, specially defensive Heatran, and Blissey, and Tapu Koko can even offer Victini a terrain-boosted Bolt Strike in return. Kartana can provide wallbreaking support too, appreciating Tapu Koko's great matchup against Flying-types like Zapdos and Tornadus-T and being able to switch directly into Ferrothorn's Leech Seed.

Tapu Koko fits well on balance and semi-stall teams that appreciate its high Speed and ability to both revenge kill and act as a wincon. Entry hazards like Stealth Rock and more notably Spikes synergize incredibly with Tapu Koko, so entry hazard setters like Landorus-T Hippowdon (Hippowdon is the #1 Ground-type for these structures alongside Gastrodon), Ferrothorn, and Skarmory are good partners to work away at Tapu Koko's checks, such as opposing Ferrothorn and Hippowdon Gastrodon (Gastrodon is an better check due to its higher Special Defense and access to Clear Smog), with the first two being able to use Knock Off to remove Leftovers from opposing Ferrothorn and Landorus-T, Assault Vest from Galarian Slowking, and Heavy-Duty Boots from Blissey (rewrite this, mention how Stealth Rock and Spikes can wear those checks down for Tapu Koko to sweep late-game). Wallbreakers like Victini and Garchomp work well against Tapu Koko's checks like Ferrothorn, specially defensive Heatran, and Blissey, and Tapu Koko can even offer Victini a terrain-boosted Bolt Strike in return. (I don't think that Garchomp is the best example here, Urshifu-R is probably better + it can also take advantage of Electric Terrain with Thunder Punch. Also mention how the boost helps, e.g. it allows the two to break through Slowbro and Toxapex.) Kartana can provide wallbreaking support too, appreciating Tapu Koko's great matchup against Flying-types like Zapdos and Tornadus-T and being able to switch directly into Ferrothorn's Leech Seed. (You're missing things that can handle offensive Ground-types that can tank a hit and immediately threaten Tapu Koko, e.g. Excadrill and Landorus-T. Pokemon like Slowbro and Buzzwole are good examples.)
