[SET COMMENTS]
- Booster Energy Iron Valiant is a good anti-offense Pokemon, as it outspeeds and revenge kills many hyper offense staples such as Koraidon, Chien-Pao, and Miraidon.
- Thunderbolt hits Toxapex and Corviknight hard, while Focus Blast is Iron Valiant's strongest STAB option against Tera Steel Pokemon like Ting-Lu, which would otherwise check Iron Valiant. Focus Blast also 2HKOes Blissey after a Calm Mind boost, something that Psyshock fails to do.
- Psyshock hits Unaware Clodsire and the rare Iron Moth for super effective damage. Shadow Ball, on the other hand, hits Skeledirge, Iron Valiant's biggest roadblock, but it doesn't offer much outside of that.
- Tera Fairy powers up Moonblast while retaining Iron Valiant's useful defensive niche against Sucker Punch from Pokemon like Chien-Pao and Kingambit. However, Tera Electric Thunderbolt 2HKOes Toxapex and Corviknight without a boost. It also makes Iron Valiant immune to Thunder Wave and removes its weakness to Steel-type attacks.
- Booster Energy Iron Valiant is best suited for offensive teams and, as such, should be used offensively, using its perfect coverage to break enemy walls and revenge kill threats to its team.
- Miraidon is Iron Valiant's best teammate, as it sets Electric Terrain, letting Iron Valiant conceal its item; it also powers up Thunderbolt and can get Iron Valiant safely into the field with U-turn. Iron Valiant, in return, deals with Pokemon like Ting-Lu, Clodsire, and Blissey for Miraidon. Other hyper offense Pokemon like Chien-Pao, Flutter Mane, Gholdengo, and Dragonite appreciate Iron Valiant for its good matchup against other offensive teams.
