Terrakion @ Rock Gem
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Close Combat
- Stone Edge
- Quick Attack / Protect
In BW OU, there are few sights more terrifying than a +2 Terrakion, as few Pokemon can withstand this monster's attacks. Many of the sturdiest physical walls, such as Landorus-T and Slowbro, get blown back by a Rock Gem-boosted Stone Edge. Even unboosted, Terrakion can often find a chance to blow a hole in something using its monstrous Attack stat in combination with its high-powered STAB moves that have excellent coverage across the tier. None of this is to mention Terrakion's great Speed tier, leaving it outsped by few Pokemon. As Terrakion's STAB coverage is so good already, it can opt for Quick Attack in the last moveslot to KO weakened revenge killers, most notably allowing it to pick off an Alakazam that has been brought down to its Focus Sash, which is still a huge threat. Protect is also an option to scout Choice Scarf users that might try to revenge KO Terrakion. Terrakion's biggest weakness is its poor defensive typing, which doesn't allow it many opportunities to set up. However, if you can manage to get a boost, something is going to take a lot of damage.
