[SET COMMENTS]
  • Sporting incredible bulk, a Ground immunity, and a serviceable defensive typing, Cresselia is able to tank strong hits even without investment. Cresselia uses its bulk, many speed control options, and supporting moves to assist its teammates. Although it has a rather weak Special Attack stat, this is partially mitigated by access to a reliable combination of moves with which it hits many of the top threats in the metagame super effectively. All in all, Cresselia is a threat if left alone and is a Pokemon that all teams must have an answer to.
  • Psychic is a STAB attack that can 2HKO Amoonguss, Conkeldurr, and Hitmontop.
  • Ice Beam is used to hit common Ice-weak foes, such as Landorus-T, Thundurus, and Latios, super effectively.
  • Hidden Power Ground hits Steel-types, notably Heatran and Metagross, that resist Cresselia's other moves super effectively.
  • The last moveslot is typically reserved for a speed control option, although the choice depends on the team. Thunder Wave is the most reliable, as its speed control benefits every type of team. Trick Room is an excellent option for teams with many slow Pokemon, such as Heatran, Conkeldurr, and Tyranitar. Trick Room can also be used to reset opposing Trick Room, ensuring Cresselia and its teammates keep the upper hand.
  • Expert Belt takes advantage of Cresselia's ability to hit common metagame threats super effectively by boosting the power of these hits without any drawbacks. Notably, it allows Cresselia to 2HKO Latios and Amoonguss.
  • The spread maximizes Cresselia's damage output, with a Timid nature ensuring that it outspeeds unboosted Adamant Landorus-T.
  • Cresselia's main role is to take heavy attacks and threaten a super effective hit on many of the top Pokemon in the tier. Keep in mind that Cresselia's damage output is rather poor and can have trouble OHKOing even with super effective moves, so most of the time, it will be weakening the Pokemon for its partner to clean up later. Cresselia's bulk allows it to tank many hits so it can be kept on the field longer to scare off these threats from coming in.
  • Cresselia is great on sand teams because it threatens common sand answers like Landorus-T and Conkeldurr, has Levitate, allowing Excadrill to freely use Earthquake, and has access to speed control for Tyranitar. In return, Tyranitar can beat Jellicent and opposing Cresselia, which shrug off any of Cresselia's attacks, and Excadrill beats opposing Tyranitar. Landorus-T is another excellent teammate, as it also threatens Tyranitar and can freely use Earthquake, and Intimidate allows Cresselia to better tank physical attacks. Heatran benefits from Cresselia threatening Landorus-T, Conkeldurr, and opposing Heatran, thus allowing it to set up Substitute more easily. Finally, Conkeldurr benefits from Cresselia's speed control and ability to threaten Amoonguss and Intimidate users, such as Landorus-T and Hitmontop.
  • Cresselia has a large supporting movepool with which it can support different team compositions. Helping Hand boosts the power of Cresselia's partner, allowing Pokemon, such as Excadrill and Heatran, to pick up KOs that they normally couldn't. Sunny Day can be used as an emergency check to rain teams. These support options can be used in place of one of Cresselia's coverage moves. Icy Wind is an alternative speed control option. Hidden Power Fire is used on teams that wish to improve their matchup against Scizor, Genesect, and Ferrothorn. Other sets include a Cresselia with more defensive investment to focus more as bulky support, Calm Mind with a defensive EV spread, which can be a win condition, and minimum speed for dedicated Trick Room teams.

  • Sporting an incredible 120 / 120 / 130 bulk, Ground-type immunity, and a serviceable defensive typing, Cresselia is able to tank strong hits even with minimal without? investment. It also has access to many speed control options and support moves to augment this bulk (i get what you're saying but Twave/Trick Room does not make it bulkier. instead I think you mean "It uses its bulk to use its many speed control and support moves to support its teammates" or something). Although it has a rather weak Special Attack stat, this is partially mitigated by access to a reliable combination of moves that are able to hit with which it hits many of the top threats in the metagame super effectively. All in all, Cresselia can be is a threat if left alone and is a Pokemon that all teams must have an answer to.
  • Psychic is a STAB attack that can do immense damage to 2HKOes Amoonguss and Conkeldurr (and hitmontop).
  • Ice Beam is used to hit common Pokemon, Ice-weak foes such as Landorus-T, Thundurus, and Latios, super effectively.
  • Hidden Power Ground hits Steel-types that resist Cresselia's other moves, notably Heatran and Metagross (the way this sentence is structured it sounds like Heatran and Metagross are Cresselia's other moves, imo you could start a new sentence saying you 2HKO Shuca Berry Heatran and 2HKO Metagross after minimal chip), super-effectively.
  • The last moveslot is typically reserved for a speed control option, although the choice depends on the team. Thunder Wave is generally the most reliable, as it can be its speed control benefits every useful no matter the type of team. Trick Room, however, is an excellent option for teams with many slow Pokemon, such as Heatran, Conkeldurr, or Tyranitar. Trick Room can also be used to reset opposing (trick room affects the whole field so opponent's is probably more fitting) opponent's Trick Room, thus mitigating the opponent's speed control option (it only mitigates TR specifically, so what about "ensuring Cresselia and its teammates keep the upper hand"?).
  • Expert Belt is the preferred item because Cresselia will typically only use its non-STAB attacks if it's a super-effective hit.
  • The spread maximizes Cresselia's damage output,(add comma) while with a Timid nature is used to ensure ensuring that it outruns outspeeds unboosted Adamant Landorus-T.
  • Cresselia's main role is to take heavy attacks and? threaten a strong hit (its only strong if it gets SE hits, its not like conk or latios imo) super effective hits on many of the top Pokemon in the tier. Keep in mind that Cresselia's damage output is rather poor and can have trouble OHKO'ing OHKOing even with super effective moves, so most of the time, it will be weakening the Pokemon for its partner to clean up later. Cresselia's bulk can allow allows it to tank many hits so do not be afraid to (this is a sort of 'you' kind of perspective; analyses are written to be more neutral, so change it in a more neutral way) keep it on the field longer to scare off these threats from coming in.
  • Cresselia is great on sand teams because it threatens common sand answers like Landorus-T and Conkeldurr, two common answers to sand, has Levitate, allowing Excadrill to freely use Earthquake, and has access to speed control for Tyranitar. In return, Tyranitar can beat Jellicent and opposing Cresselia, which shrugs shrug off any of Cresselia's attacks, and Excadrill can beat beats opposing Tyranitar. Landorus-T is another excellent teammate,(add comma) as it also threatens Tyranitar and can freely use Earthquake,(add comma) while Intimidate can allow allows Cresselia to better tank physical attacks. mention heatran as a particularly good cress partner Finally, Conkeldurr benefits from Cresselia's speed control and ability to threaten Amoonguss and Intimidate users, such as Landorus-T and HItmontop Hitmontop.
  • Cresselia has a large supporting movepool that can be useful depending on the team with which it supports different team compositions/partners?. Helping Hand can boost boosts the power of Cresselia's partner (which is useful for what and whom? in line w/ this analysis i'm thinking excadrill and heatran). Sunny Day can be used as an emergency check to weather teams rain (i think this is correct?). Icy Wind is an alternative speed control option. Hidden Power Fire can be used is used on teams that wish to hit Scizor, Genesect, and Ferrothorn super-effectively super effectively rather than Heatran (this implies there's teams that don't want to hit heatran, so you should rewrite it to something like "teams that wish to improve their matchups against [...]". Other sets include a Cresselia with more defensive investment to focus more as a bulky support, Calm Mind, which can be a lethal win-condition, and minimum speed for dedicated Trick Room teams. we've talked about this at length on discord so you can adapt it how you see fit

  • Sporting incredible bulk, Ground-type immunity, and serviceable defensive typing, Cresselia is able to tank strong hits even without investment. Cresselia uses its bulk to use its many speed control and support moves to support its teammates. could do something like "Cresselia uses its bulk, many speed control options, and supporting moves to (assist/help/etc. whatever word you want to use) its teammates" or something reads a bit cleaner imo Although it has a rather weak Special Attack stat, this is partially mitigated by access to a reliable combination of moves with which it hits many of the top threats in the metagame super effectively. All in all, Cresselia is a threat if left alone and is a Pokemon that all teams must have an answer to.

  • Expert Belt is the preferred item because Cresselia will typically only use its non-STAB attacks if it's a super-effective hit. I've been stuck on this for a while and I don't think this is exactly the main reason, you would basically do this anyways with an item like leftovers etc. rather it's an item that has no drawbacks and simply enhances damage output. I'm not quite sure of what exactly it should say because it's not wrong at all but talk to me and we'll brainstorm
  • The spread maximizes Cresselia's damage output, with a Timid nature ensuring that it outspeeds unboosted Adamant Landorus-T.

Mention what you might drop for Sunny Day/HH because it's not clear to the reader I think. is it an attack? are you dropping speed control? like you did in the next two sentences, where icy wind is directly mentioned as alt speed control and HP can only replace HP Icy Wind is an alternative speed control option. Hidden Power Fire is used on teams that wish to improve their matchup against Scizor, Genesect, and Ferrothorn. Other sets include a Cresselia with more defensive investment to focus more as a bulky support, Calm Mind, mention the investment level here which can be a win-condition, and minimum speed for dedicated Trick Room teams.
