[SET]
Bulky Swords Dance (Scizor) @ Scizorite
Ability: Light Metal
EVs: 248 HP / 112 Def / 128 SpD / 20 Spe
Impish Nature
- Swords Dance
- Bullet Punch
- Knock Off / U-turn / Sand Tomb
- Roost

[SET COMMENTS]
Mega Scizor functions as an excellent late-game wincon due to its access to strong priority in Technician boosted Bullet Punch, as well as being an excellent defensive piece, being able to switch in reliably on threats such as Iron Valiant, Kartana, and Rillaboom. Knock Off can be used in order to cripple would-be switch-ins such as Gholdengo, Zapdos, and Moltres. U-turn allows Mega Scizor to pivot out and gain momentum on threats such as Heatran and Mega Charizard Y switching in as well as defensive Pokemon such as Corviknight, Ferrothorn, and Alomomola. Sand Tomb is a more niche option that can be used in order to deal large damage to non-Air Balloon Heatran, as well as trapping Pokemon such as Toxapex switching in. 112 Defense EVs allow Mega Scizor to live 2 Mega Lopunny Close Combats after Stealth Rock and 20 Speed EVs allow Mega Scizor to outspeed uninvested Heatran.

Mega Scizor fits well on offense, bulky offense and balance teams due to its defensive capabilities as well as ability to clean up in the later stages of the game with Swords Dance and Bullet Punch. Mega Scizor is extremely vulnerable to Fire-type moves from Pokemon such as Heatran, Volcarona, and Mega Charizard Y, meaning switch-ins such as Heatran, Toxapex, and Alomomola are appreciated. Mega Scizor also struggles to break through Steel-type Pokemon such as Kingambit, Melmetal, and Ferrothorn, making Fighting-types such as Urshifu-R and Zamazenta excellent partners. In return, Fighting-types benefit from Mega Scizor breaking through Fairy-type Pokemon such as Clefable and Iron Valiant. Mega Scizor provides an excellent switch-in to Psychic-types such as Tapu Lele, making teammates that benefit from this such as Great Tusk and Toxapex great partners. Mega Scizor also appreciates Stealth Rock setters such as Landorus-T, as they chip switch-ins such as Heatran and Corviknight, while Mega Scizor can help setters by removing Heavy-Duty Boots from Pokemon such as Moltres and Zapdos, making them vulnerable to Stealth Rock.

Mega Scizor functions as an excellent late-game wincon due to its access to strong priority in Technician boosted Bullet Punch, as well as being an excellent defensive piece, being able to switch in reliably on threats such as Choice Scarf Tapu Lele Psyterrain is an annoyance + HP Fire is annoying, mixed Valiant is a better example imo, Kartana and Rillaboom. Knock Off can be used in order to cripple or KO Pokemon such as Gholdengo, Galarian Slowking and Iron Crown, neither are staying in + moved Ghold down as well as removing items such as Leftovers and Rocky Helmet from would be switch-ins such as Gholdengo, Corviknight and Ferrothorn. U-turn allows Mega Scizor to pivot out and gain momentum on threats switching in such as Heatran and Mega Charizard Y, as well as defensive Pokemon such as Corviknight, Ferrothorn and Alomomola. Sand Tomb is a more niche option that can be used in order to deal large damage to non-Air Balloon Heatran could generalize this to most Steel-types, as well as trapping Pokemon such as Toxapex switching in. 112 Defense EVs allow Scizor to live 2 Mega Loppuny Close Combats after Stealth Rocks and 20 Speed EVs allow Scizor to outspeed uninvested Heatran.

Scizor fits well on Offense and Bulky Offense teams this set also fits fairly well on balance due to its defensive capabilities as well as ability to clean up games with Swords Dance and Bullet Punch. Scizor is extremely vunerable to Fire-type moves from Pokemon such as Heatran, Volcarona and Mega Charizard Y, meaning fire switchins such as Heatran, Toxapex and Alomomola are appreciated. Mega Scizor also struggles to break through Steel-type Pokemon such as Kingambit, Melmetal and Ferrothorn, making Fighting-types such as Urshifu-R and Zamazenta excellent partners. In return, Fighting-types benefit from Scizor breaking through Fairies such as Clefable and Iron Valiant. Mega Scizor provides an excellent switchin to Psychic-types such as Tapu Lele, making teammates who benefit from this such as Great Tusk and Toxapex great partners. Mega Tyranitar also breaks through Zapdos and Moltres, both of which Scizor struggle to beat. can't have 2 megas on the same team

mention hazard setters - chip down stuff + msciz knocks common answers like molt / pex to make them vulnerable to hazards

Mega Scizor functions as an excellent late-game wincon due to its access to strong priority in Technician boosted Bullet Punch, as well as being an excellent defensive piece, being able to switch in reliably on threats such as Mixed Iron Valiant it switches in on all Iron Valiant , Kartana and Rillaboom. Knock Off can be used in order to cripple would be switch-ins such as Gholdengo, Corviknight Zapdos and Ferrothorn Moltres I added these due to the fact that these switch in and actually immediately threaten scizor so removing their boots is big though it has to be wary of status. while also removing items such as Leftovers, Rocky Helmet and Heavy Duty Boots from them fluff/dex info territory. U-turn allows Mega Scizor to pivot out and gain momentum on threats switching in such as Heatran and Mega Charizard Y, as well as defensive Pokemon such as Corviknight, Ferrothorn and Alomomola. Sand Tomb is a more niche option that can be used in order to deal large damage to non-Air Balloon Heatran, as well as trapping Pokemon such as Toxapex switching in. 112 Defense EVs allow Scizor to live 2 Mega Loppuny Close Combats after Stealth Rocks and 20 Speed EVs allow Scizor to outspeed uninvested Heatran.
