ORAS OU Bulky Offensive Mega Aggron Team {Peaked 1450 and climbing}

When I was looking at the more underrated megas I found that Mega Aggron has amazing defensive bulk and very good offensive stats. Base 70 hitpoints is nice but not the best, base 140 attack on a defensive `mon is ridiculous, base 230 defense is... how can I explain... overpowered and a decent 80 special defense that can work on our favor if we invest it. Filter is also a great ability that reduces super-effective hits' damage. It has access to an amazing movepool: Stealth Rocks, Heavy Slam, Rock Slide/Stone Edge, Earthquake, Fire/Ice/Thunder Punch, Thunder Wave, Avalanche and more. Unfortunately, Mega Aggron lacks reliable recovery but that can be dealt well with wish-passing.

In OU, Mega Aggron is a counter to lots of threats and a check to a lot of threats as well.

It checks/counters Lati@s, even mega ones, Weavile (even if has Low Kick), Scizor (even banded with Superpower, if Sylveon is still alive and can wish-pass to it), Talonflame, Landorus-T, Dragonite and a lot of other threats that I couldn't remember.

The given EV spreads and nature abuse Mega Aggron's amazing natural bulk.

In OU, Sylveon is the perfect partner of Mega Aggron. Sylveon can take almost any unboosted hit in the metagame except Steel/Poison ones, while Sylveon takes care of Fighting moves and some Fire moves as well. Thanks to these combinations, Sylveon can also pass wishes in many situations. Mega Aggron is also weak to status moves, especially burn. Sylveon is also here to take care of these statuses. Another big threat to Mega Aggron is Mega Sableye. Mega Aggron simply can't touch it gets easily stalled out by Will-O-Wisp & Recover. Sylveon MURDERS Mega Sableye.

The given EV spreads allow Sylveon to take care of physical threats as well as special threats. Hyper Voice hits really hard, even to `mons that take neutral damage from it.

It's a waste of time to describe how useful Landorus-T is in the metagame. Everybody knows how useful it is lol.

Landorus-Therian @ Choice Scarf

The given EV spreads allow Landorus-Therian to hit very hard, as well as getting a slow U-turn against other scarfed Landorus-Ts. Together, with Magnezone, they make a really good Volt-Turn combination.

I feel like having 251 speed EVs instead of 30 speed IVs because then I can get an extra point in defense and survive potential KOs. Sounds stupid but it sometimes works lol.

Latios is an amazing `mon. Base 110 is so useful in the metagame as it can outspeed lots of threats. It has a natural bulk of 80/80/110, and it also counters Mega Charizard-Y if lacks Dragon Pulse. It has access to one of the best moves in the game; Defog. Nobody likes opposing hazards, only Bisharp does if there is Sticky Web. I decided to run Recover over Roost because the name "Roost" looks uglier than "Recover". Psyshock is to ensure that Latios doesn't get walled by Special walls.

Magnezone doesn't look very impressive at first look. Only it's Special Attack is good. Luckily for Magnezone, magnets are magnetic in Pokémon so it gets Magnet Pull as it's signature move. It allows to trap Scizor, Ferrothorn, Forretress and a scarfed Heatran locked into Ancient Power/Flash Cannon.

The given EV spreads maximize Magnezone's offensive stats, giving it enough speed to outspeed a minimum-speed Skarmory. It makes a great partner for Landorus-T, Sylveon, Weavile and Mega Aggron as it can trap those pesky steel types and killing them, also making a good VoltTurn core with Landorus-T.

Weavile is a check for many `mons in OU. It outspeeds Alakazam, Latios, Starmie, Tornadus-T, Gengar and lots of other threats. It has amazing Attack stat, combined with Life Orb, many teams are weak to it.

Rather than Magnezone, I recommend you try out spdef Talonflame. This also stops steel types, but also checks Volcarona and Serperior. You have Latios and Landorus-T for Heatran and trying to trap scarf Heatran with Magnezone is not a good idea generally anyway.

Hey there cool team, but it could use a few changes. (Sorry if this rate sounds rushed/short, as I didn't have much time) First off EVs work by 4 so having a awkward 5/251 isn't boosting EV stats, just change it to 4/252 as this is the same Defense while having 1 higher stat in speed. Magnezone seems fitting but I think Talonflame would be better as this helps check Volcarona, and Serperior which seems like threats to the team and is still able to check Steel types such as Skarmory, Ferrothorn, and Scizor. Talonflame also gives you a setup sweeper so you can do major damage to opponents with Swords Dance+Brave Bird/Flare Blitz, and you have Latios as a hazard remover so it would be a good fit. Looking at the set of Sylveon, Clefable can do it much better and is a much better counter for Mega Sableye; Clefable pretty much does the same thing but with better defense and abilities. This team looks pretty solid, although there are a few things that could be changed to fix some of the problems. At the moment, the current team will be hard pressed to beat ground, steel, and a some water types. Magnezone is only capable of trapping and reliably beating things like Scizor and Ferrothorn. That leaves the team open to quite a few common pokemon such as, Bisharp, Excadrill, Heatran, Landorus-T, Skarmory, Hippowdon and et cetera. Hippowdon and Skarmory may not seem so bad in theory but they're a nightmare for the current team to KO; Skarmory will be able to constantly set Spikes and Hippowdon can harass the Aggron, Magnezone, and Sylveon. Both will also be able to lure out Latios to be trapped by a team mate. First I suggest that you use Choice Specs Keldeo instead of Magnezone; Keldeo is easily able to beat every problematic pokemon mentioned while also imposing immense pressure on the opponent's team. I suggest that you replace Knock Off on Landorus-T with Explosion. It's usually a last ditch move for offensive teams but it could fit here if you want to get rid of a dangerous threat. Explosion has a bit more utility on this team because neither Latios nor Latias will attempt to attack Landorus because of the threat of a switch to Aggron or Sylveon. Knock Off could still hit Gengar so it has some use, view that suggestion as optional. Landorus-T's spread isn't good either, it's scarf'd, so it'll undoubtedly outspeed almost every opposing Landorus-T regardless of a few missing speed EVs. Opposing Choice Scarfed Landorus-T's have a good matchup against your team so it wouldn't be wise to attempt to underspeed them, instead just use a 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe spread and attempt to speed tie instead of outright losing against it. I had more suggestions but I started eating and forgot what they were.
