Pet Mod Breeding Variants V4 [Slate 6: Regional Dex] (Submission phase)

:sv/coalossal: :sv/golem-alola:
Name: Coalossal-Fulgurite
Egg Group: Mineral
Stats: 110/100/120/80/90/30
Type: Rock / Electric
New Moves
: Discharge, Seismic Toss, Thunder Wave, Supercell Slam, Volt Switch.
Abilities: Steam Engine / Flame Body (Magnet Pull)
Dex Entry: When a Coalossal-Fulgurite is struck by thunder, a common occurrence for them, the electricity inherently stored in them goes haywire, causing electricity outages for miles.
Competitive Evaluation: Rocks go brr. Also a trapper. Nice!

:sv/delphox: :sv/swoobat:
Name: Delphox-Batty
Egg Group: Field
Stats: 75/69/72/114/100/107
Type
: Fire / Psychic
New Moves: Energy Ball, Air Slash, U-Turn, Tailwind, Roost.
Abilities: Blaze / Unaware
Dex Entry
: Large packs of Delphox-Batty are seen gliding across the sky with their arms, similar to those of a Swoobat. In tales of yore, it is said that if a Delphox-Batty arrives at your residence, your home would be lit ablaze by the wrath of many. This was false, as many Delphox-Batty do not carry the brain capacity for spite.
Competitive Evaluation: Have you ever seen an offensive Unaware user? because that's what Delphox-Batty is. Also comes with weird utility and pivoting!

:sv/sableye: :sv/kingambit:
Name: Sableye-Usurper
Egg Group: Humanlike
Stats: 50/102/75/65/65/50
Type: Ghost / Steel
New Moves
: Kowtow Cleave, Pursuit, Psycho Cut, Stealth Rock, Air Slash.
Abilities: Keen Eye / Supreme Overlord / Prankster
Dex Entry: An old scripture details the assassination of a wise, all-powerful Kingambit by a simple Sableye, blinded by jealousy and an inferiority complex. The brave, or rather foolish Sableye donned the hat, and became as unruly as it could be. To this day, this Sableye is still out there, exacting what is left of its power inherited decades ago..
Competitive Evaluation: the meta yearns for gholdengambit Balanced Kingambit. No stab on Sucker Punch but you get shadow sneak!... at least. No SD here, run Hone Claws or run band.

This form of Durant has odd hypnotic patters on their reflective steel which confuse the attacker.

Ghost.png

New Moves: Toxic, Stun Spore, Clear Smog, Synthesis, Stomping Tantrum
Abilities: Wind Rider / Regenerator
Dex Entry
: This particular Brambleghast rolls around spreading spores that paralyze prey. It then snatches them and absorbs their life essence.
Competitive: Spinner that can also spinblock by being a ghost type. Can set Spikes, and can stop physical attackers in their tracks with Strength Sap, or set up mons with Clear Smog. Base 115 Attack isn't a slouch, allowing Poltergeist and Power Whip to hit decently hard. Regenerator allows it to pivot in and out while keeping itself alive.

Stats: 75/125/140/60/90/62
Type
: Water/Rock
New Moves: Stone Axe, U-turn, Stone Edge, Roost, Curse
Abilities: Emergency Exit/Sharpness
Dex Entry
: This brutal subspecies of Golisopod is said to have evolved in ancient, mineral-rich canyons where survival depended on raw force. Its massive forelimbs have hardened into axe-like blades, capable of cleaving boulders in a single strike.

:grimmsnarl: :kingambit:
Name: Grimmsnarl-Ogrelord
Egg Group: Human-Like
Stats: 95/120/92/95/75/60
Type: Fairy/Steel
New Moves: Iron Head, Stealth Rock, Swords Dance, Steel Beam, Flash Cannon
Abilities: Frisk/Prankster/Supreme Overlord
Dex Entry
: This variant of Grimmsnarl commands respect through both brute strength and magical cunning. The strands of its body hair are razor-edged yet impossibly flexible, allowing it to entangle foes or form weapons mid-battle.

:Duraludon: :Baxcalibur:
Name: Duraludon-Glaciblade
Egg Group: Dragon/Mineral
Stats: 70/120/115/120/50/85
Type: Steel/Ice
New Moves: Dragon Dance, Icicle Crash, Ice Shard, Earthquake, Freeze-Dry
Abilities: Light Metal/Heavy Metal/Thermal Exchange
Dex Entry
: Forged in glacial mountains where tectonic plates meet, this armored titan merges the crystalline steel of Duraludon with Baxcalibur’s primal frost.

Kamen Rider Dread: Tinted Lens priority already makes this dangerous, especially with its physical bulk. As such, I'd prefer it not getting any method of Speed boosting.
Ice Chandelier: Dondozo, if it traded out Curse for reliable recovery.
Shroom: What Gen I Parasect was feared by GF. That said, if it's not running Prankster, it'll still very useless. Could have afforded a Type change.
Cliffjumper: Archeops with a usable Ability.
Bursted Balloon: Huge Bulk... too huge, I daresay. Snip off Strength Sap and it'll be more manageable.

Boom clap: This looks like Iron Thorns that can also remove hazard, and is definitely outclassed by Revavroom-Ferrodrift as a Galvanise user. Even if it's running Steam Engine, I don't think it can take another hit afterwards.
I told the witch doctor...: We have seen offensive Unaware users introduced this gen. This batty fox is much more a reliable utility pivot.
GeminiSlay: It's moreso very-much-nerfed Kingambit. In fact, Bisharp would still outclass it.

River cobbler: Much more frail defensively type-wise. It does provide more utility and is effective... against itself.
Batman's antifreeze: It still doesn't have reliably usable Flying STAB (Beak Blast's negative priority). The only thing improved is its Poison-type STAB, but I'll leave it to you on whether that's an improvement.
Paladin: Improved Special bulk.
Man's Angriest Friend: Offensive sets are slightly more manageable.
Syren: Improved physical bulk.
:Durant: :orbeetle:

New Moves: Swords Dance, Bulk Up, Pain Split
Abilities: Rough Skin/Speed Boost/Strong Jaw -> Strong Jaw
Dex Entry: (WIP)
Competitive Description: Keeps the speed boost into Mega shenanigans but gain STAB psychic fangs and Swords Dance for setup.

Why does being just useless make it vetoed? It also has webs and better defenses… I’m not gonna be doing many subs so I think it’s ok to keep

It’s already been said in the slate post this on that submissions that are deemed too weak compared to winners are going to be vetoed, given incidents happened where we ended up with too many submissions that are much less viable than intended in other Pet Mods.

If it helps, try ask for feedback in Discord server in order to solidify your submissions.

Second routine sub review and comments on everything new since. If you see red, this highlights something that makes your sub problematic/questionable and thus veto-worthy. Also a 36 hour warning.
:mr. rime: :alakazam:
Name: Mr. Rime-Magician
Olaf: Rime already has access to Iron Defense, Barrier (which it already learns) is more than reductant. Otherwise, it's a better utility attacker.
:pelipper::toxapex:
Name: Pelipper-Pitohui
Oil Slick: Budget offensive Toxapex.
:grimmsnarl: :kingambit:
Name: Grimmsnarl-Ogrelord
:Duraludon: :Baxcalibur:

I surrender, suckers: Budget utility Kingambit.
Glavius: A very dangerous mixed attacker, if only because of its stats and our limited pool of supereffective special attackers.
:sm/Zigzagoon: :sm/Diggersby:
Name: Zigzagoon-Foreman (Eviolite Compatible)
:sm/Sharpedo: :sm/Sharpedo-Mega: :sm/Bruxish:
Name: Sharpedo-Overbite
Tanuki: Once it loses its Eviolite, any Ghost-type can revenge kill it. Even with Eviolite, after Belly Drum, it's not able to take another hit, either. For now it's safe (Ninetales-PoIno may resist all but Knock Off), but this is very much a gamble in the future.
Mauler: Slightly better defensive type, still allergic to the surplus of Bug-types in the meta.

Slightly overdue, but the voting phase will begin before we get more delays. Unfortunately, we also have more vetos: vishy fishy 's Durant-hypnotic remains vetoed, given the questionable elements of the sub have yet to be amended since the warning. Everything else (which is not put in a spoiler folder) is legal to be voted for.

As usual, we vote for up to five submissions, with the topmost (or leftmost if horizontal) counting for two points. The submissions with the top three amount of points after 48 hours will be accepted. And please consider their worth competitively as well.

You may only self-vote for one submission, and self-votes cannot be put as your first choice.

Example:
User 2’s Submission
User 1’s Submission (SV)
User 3’s Submission
User 5’s Submission
User 4’s Submission

Dex Entry
: It is said that these Golisopod came from another world where Team Skull ruled over Alola. Whatever fear they had as Wimpod seems to be bred out of them, turning them into unstoppable weapons.
Competitive Description: Hehe big Lokix. All of the benefits of Lokix in a bigger package and with Water coverage.

Base 115 Attack isn't a slouch, allowing Poltergeist and Power Whip to hit decently hard. Regenerator allows it to pivot in and out while keeping itself alive.
And here are our winners. Not really surprised to see Pelipper and Lopunny win and am curious to see what they will do. Brambleghast seems solid, getting a good amount of longevity added to its toolkit making it more consistent of a Pokemon at least.

Now, honest question, because I did not expect Golisopod to get as many votes as it did: how many of you voted for it because you like Lokix, and how many of you voted for it because I called it "Great Guzma"

Edit: Lopunny may also be a problem for the tier. If I have done my math correct, a Max Attack Huger Power Lopunny-Bara is the equivalent to ~181 Attack on a regular Pokemon. Ironically that means the Mega might be more balanced than the base form.

We've been busy for awhile to come up with the next slate idea, and Samtendo's been occupied, so allow me to start the next Slate:

:SwSh/Passimian:Slate 6: Regional Dex:SwSh/Oranguru:

For this slate, both the base and donor must be introduced in the same generation. Regional forms count towards the actual region they're introduced in; otherwise, consult the national dex for placement.

Main rules apply as usual. Submissions that fill in niches or a shortage of types in the meta will be highly encouraged. Submissions that are judged to be too weak or have elements that are questionable at best and uncompetitive at worst may not be eligible for voting.

Submission ends at Monday next week, five days from this post.

:SV/Mismagius: :SV/Gastrodon:
Name: Mismagius-Swamp Witch
Egg Group: Amorphous
Stats: 85/60/60/105/105/105
Type: Ghost / Ground
New Moves
: Earth Power, Counter, Recover, Stealth Rock, Earthquake
Abilities: Levitate (Storm Drain)
Dex Entry
: A special breed of Mismagius created to live in swamps. They utilize their ability to soak up toxins and dirt to create makeshift potions. It used to be legal to eat them, before people realized their special bodily mixture gave cancer a malicious disease.
Competitive Outlook: Palossand but based. Mismagius-Swamp Witch is able to use its ability to raise its chances of coming in, even with it's not exactly impressive Physical Bulk. additionally, it's a spin blocker! yahoo.

:SV/Swampert: :SV/Exploud:
Name: Swampert-Amplifier
Egg Group: Monster
Stats: 100/110/90/88/90/60
Type: Water / Normal
New Moves
: Boomburst, Hyper Voice, Crunch, Circle Throw. Extrasensory
Abilities: Torrent / Scrappy
Dex Entry
: Swampert-Amplifier just scream. and virtually all of the time. Scientists used to assume they had real reasons to do this, but then records of them speaking somewhat normally, if not.. rather loudly. Turns out they just do it because they're annoyed at the world.
Competitive Outlook: Functionally, a Mixed Attacker. Carries impressive stats on both sides (except that "Impressive Stat" is actually boomburst"). If you want to be funny, it does get Work Up.
flavor: ok what if we got a boomburst mon

Stats: 100/150/110/98/110/70

Abilities: Swift Swim
Dex Entry: As I am in the midst of writing this dex Entry, I have gone completely deaf. Even through this agonizing pain, I still, through whatever means, hear the agonizing cacophony of Swampert-Mega-Amplifier. It is nothing but hell.
Competitive Outlook: this is just regular mega swampert with a bit more special attack and without a crippling Grass allergy.

:SV/Exeggutor-Alola: :SV/Comfey:
Name: Exeggutor-Lei-Alola
Egg Group: Grass
Stats: 95/105/85/125/92/45
Type: Grass / Fairy
New Moves:
Defog, Draining Kiss, Alluring Voice, Encore, Aromatherapy
Abilities: Harvest / (Triage)
Dex Entry: Decorated with a creative array of flowers, Exeggutor-Lei-Alola are festive in nature. They dance and shimmy around to entertain Alola travelers. They've been imported from their home region to be used as Wacky Waving Inflatable Arm Flailing Tube Men replacements, as that industry is certainly not in its glory days.
Competitive Outlook: With solid bulk, mixed attacking stats, and even Triage, Exeggutor-Lei-Alola is packed full with utility and offensive prowess. From status remedying with Aromatherapy, going on the offensive with Calm Mind or Bulk Up, or even hazard Removal. Exeggutor-Luau-Alola is a considerable piece of both utility and offense. But you're going to want a Steel Type..
Flavor: i did not have to improvise apparently!
more someday
