I think it's about time to try breaking a hyper offense team again. Let's see how well y'all really understand how hyper offense is played, eh?

thanks Adaam for being the obvious candidate for our week on HO

Some Frosslass HO with common HO staples. Bisharp is the mandatory partner to Frosslass to punish Defog and Kommo-o is the SR setter of choice due to its fantastic typing and offensive prowess. Stuff like Mamoswine/Nidoking have a hard time finding turns to set SR, but Kommo-o's bulk lets it set rocks easily. Doublade was added as a spinblocker and hard Aero/Lati/Cobalion check, the latter of which beats Bisharp and Shark fairly easily. Mega Sharpedo is an obligatory cleaner for HO and pairs very well with any Spikes setter, and Scarf Lati acts as immediate speed control and packs HW support.

Agility Moltres isn't used a lot but man can it shred offensive teams. Moltres can set up on Doublade or Bisharp's Sucker Punch and proceed to shread. Krook traps lati and with superpower makes shark not worth reviving already mega evolved.

EVs: 160 HP / 252 Atk / 96 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Bullet Punch
- Pursuit
- U-turn
- Superpower
NP Infernape has a really nice match-up vs this team as only Latias stands in its way of sweeping. That is why I chose to partner it with CB Scizor whom switches into Latias with ease + can bring in Bisharp or Doublade for Ape to get a free set-up. Once Ape gets +2 it can run through everything including Kommo-o thanks to FIght-Z (doesn't need to fear the miss). Vacuum Wave helps avoid the Bisharp Sucker Punch and handle Mega Sharpedo.

Altaria-Mega @ Altarianite
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 76 Def / 180 Spe
Jolly Nature

- Flamethrower

Chesnaught @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Bulletproof
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Drain Punch
- Spikes
- Synthesis
- Taunt
Altaria is pretty effective at keeping hazards off as once Kommo-o tries to get rocks up it can come in and get a free attack or fire off strong hits. It also has a cool matchup versus Sharpedo and Latias, preventing even Trick.
Meanwhile, Taunt Chesnaught is great versus Sharpedo, Doublade, and Bisharp, being a cool pick. The main switchin is Latias which is a Scarf set, so not really strong and rather trappable.

This morning the train came one hour late, so I've used this time to ladder up an almost brand new alt using this team. The team is of course very very solid and lower ladder just crumbles to Sharp and Shark combined. In my experience though if I was going up against a Primarina + Hippo team I knew the game would have been hard. I would get one or two spikes up with Lass, sack it and then be faced with a pretty big problem. If I get in with Kommoo, Primarina just comes in for free and clicks STAB, none of which this team really appreciate. Doublade just doesn't do crap to both, especially since you have to risk a burn against Primarina. Bisharp is the main way to break those since +2 LO Iron Head does a hefty chunk to both, but not quite enough since Hippo kills you with EQ after life orb recoil. Once Bisharp is KO'd the team lost all of its tools to break Primarina and pretty much beats the whole team.

In my experience Prim is the biggest threat hands down. Fairy-types In general are annoying, but Mega Alt is weaker against Sharpedo. Latias + Bulletproof Kommo is enough to ensure Nape doesn’t win at preview. So invite Sabbio

Jus dropping off a team I've used recently on ladder, and really the first stall team I didn't delete but probably my least favorite fat I have kept. Either way, still a really cool team in my eyes and it's fun to play it on ladder -- I generally don't build fat without something to spice it up, like a wincon or some tech of some sort and I don't think that will change anytime soon. CM Sleep Talk Cress (crocress lol) is the functioning wincon and this one's jus a fun ass team that I still enjoy, jus don't see myself using it anymore so I thought I'd drop it here in case it catches anyone elses eye.

Good luck, and please remember to submit your cores by Thursday.

Taunt Hydreigon and Block Bro have some pretty nice synergy already and are a huge pain to fat teams. Taunt Hydrei alone gives the team problems and can only really be pp stalled. Slowbro trapping and removing blissey makes stalling out Hydreigon impossible.

These two do really well vs. this team. Bisharp takes advantage of cress, alomomola, and honestly so many mons on this team, while zeraora can just kill everything with it's coverage which volt swithcicng around to get bisharp in, plain and simple.

Haven't ever contributed to this project but thought I'd finally have a crack at it. I've been using this core recently on ladder and think that it does really well against a lot of the metagame, including the particular team for this week. I really like Firium on Infernape right now for breaking past a lot of rising defensive options, like Gligar and Florges. With Firium it can also more reliably take on Cresselia, while its STABs and Grass Knot allow it to break past the rest of the team quite nicely. AV Bisharp is another underrated set that in this instance can weaken Blissey into range of a +2 Focus Blast for Infernape while easing the Cresselia matchup (most would probably assume the Bish set is SD and switch out). Thanks for reading!

Gligar @ Eviolite
Ability: Immunity
EVs: 252 HP / 156 Def / 100 SpD
Impish Nature

- Defog
- U-turn
Togekiss does well against this team. It's ability to boost up fast with nasty plot, air slash flinch, and heal bell off status makes it a formidable foe. The team's best countermeasure is Aggron, who I've employed a Gligar to handle. This Gligar will keep annoying Aggron until the end of time, defogging it's hazards, occassionally EQing it, and ensuring that it will never get the chance to swing at my juicy stallbreaker. A simple U-turn back into Togekiss also means Togekiss can immediately start applying pressure again the second Aggron leaves the field. Togekiss can convincingly 1v1 the rest of the team with the threat of air slash and it's ability to boost up quickly, so as long as I play carefully around Aggron, this matchup is very winnable.

Venomoth is pretty threatening for stall teams, including this one. It can abuse Blissey due to Roost and basically punch important holes at the stall team and allow its teammates to do stuff, if it doesn't basically win by itself if the stall player isn't careful. Hydra is a cool backup for Cress, Dracos hurt the team aside from Bliss and it can be annoying in general. It also has a cool synergy with moth as it abuses some passive fairies.

- Sludge Wave
- Taunt
- Focus Blast / Will-O-Wisp / Destiny Bond

So this one is a little more fun than what I would normally post here but this has the potential to give a lot of troubles for this team. So I went with Fightninium-Z Superpower Volcanion here because it has the potential to lure in Blissey or Hydra and remove it (Blissey should die to Steam Eruption into Z-move depending on roles). Now the main reason to lure Blissey is because it can prevent Heal Bell. Volcanion has the niche of being able to spread Burns really easily with the help of Steam Eruption. Now this helps its partner Hex Gengar which can put in so much work with status being spread. Pretty standard set with Taunt to sit infront of Blissey all day long and bother Quag etc. The last slot you can use whatever you want Focus Blast is nice for Aggron and Hydra + it breaks Blissey a lot easier, Wisp spreads status more reliablly, and Destiny Bond can be used to gimmick against Cresselia or Hydra. Once status is spread onto these members it basically 2OHKOs everything and can OHKO a non-boosted Cresselia if it is forced to rest etc.
