It's the first time I ever posted a RMT so I hope it's not too ugly.
I feel like it's pretty weak against
, so please share your suggestions if you have any (I'd like to keep
though).
I'm also pretty low on the ladder, so my examples may be biased.
Ting-Lu @ Leftovers
Ability: Vessel of Ruin
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Ruination
- Whirlwind
:tinglu: serves as the Entry Hazards setter for the team. It can also check
, and, to a certain extent,
.
I wasn't really sure about its Tera Type since I pretty much never use it but I feel like it's a good choice overall, maybe Poison would be better to cheese Fighting/Fairy/Grass types ?
Spikes could be used over EQ I guess, but I like having a move that can hit things, apart from Ruination.
Great Tusk @ Leftovers
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 248 HP / 12 Def / 248 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Knock Off
- Earthquake
- Taunt
is used to get rid of EH. He can also check most physical Pokemon in the tier, including
that could otherwise be an issue for
and
.
Its Tera Type is the same as
, for the same reason.
Its spread allows it to outspeed max Speed
to either use Taunt or Rapid Spin, or EQ if it's weakened.
Taunt is used so that Pokemon that can check Great Tusk (such as
or
for example) can't take advantage of it by using their status moves.
Corviknight @ Leftovers
Ability: Mirror Armor
Tera Type: Poison
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Impish Nature
- Iron Defense
- Body Press
- Roost
- U-turn
is used to check pretty much every physical setup sweeper in the tier (
,
), and 1v1 them thanks to Iron Defense + Body Press.
It can easily be taken advantage of by
, so U-Turn is very useful as you can bring a Pokemon that can threaten it (:roaringmoon:,
,
) or check it (
) and break its Balloon as the same time. It's also a very strong tool overall.
Roaring Moon @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 248 HP / 76 SpD / 184 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Roost
- Crunch
- Earthquake
It's a pretty peculiar moveset I know.
is mainly used as a
check (as long as it's not running Fairy Tera Blast).
Its spread allows him to outspeed Max Speed
while being bulky.
It can threaten both with EQ.
It can also serve as a win condition, thanks to Dragon Dance + Tera Flying.
Here are some calcs (I know it's not exactly how Beads of Ruin works, but it's better than nothing) :
252 SpA Chi-Yu Overheat over 2 turns vs. -1 248 HP / 76 SpD Roaring Moon: 225-266 (54.4 - 64.4%) -- not a KO
252 SpA Choice Specs Chi-Yu Overheat over 2 turns vs. -1 248 HP / 76 SpD Roaring Moon: 338-399 (81.8 - 96.6%) -- not a KO
Slither Wing @ Choice Band
Ability: Protosynthesis
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Close Combat
- First Impression
- U-turn
- Earthquake
serves as a wallbreaker, and a revenge killer at the same time thanks to First Impression.
It doesn't get a lot of opportunities to use its Fighting STAB since most teams always run a Ghost-type Pokemon, so I'm not sure if Close Combat is really that useful.
I use a Bug Tera Type, but I guess something else could be better ? I'm not really sure.
I use an Adamant Nature since it doesn't really outspeed anything interesting with a Jolly one.
It's faster to show calcs than to explain, so I'll just do that instead.
252+ Atk Choice Band Slither Wing First Impression vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Chi-Yu: 300-354 (119.5 - 141%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ Atk Choice Band Slither Wing Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Corviknight: 231-273 (57.7 - 68.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252+ Atk Choice Band Slither Wing Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Clodsire: 362-428 (78 - 92.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Black Sludge recovery

252+ Atk Choice Band Slither Wing First Impression vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Grimmsnarl: 354-417 (89.8 - 105.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock
Dragapult @ Choice Specs
Ability: Infiltrator
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Shadow Ball
- Draco Meteor
- U-turn
- Thunderbolt
I'm not sure if I really need to explain what this thing do, apart from hitting hard on the Special Side, pivoting with U-Turn, while bringing some speed control to the team.
