BISHARP & GRIMMSNARL

Once upon a time, a skilled swordsman known as Bisharp was feared due to its boosting power with Swords Dance and Defiant. Perhaps the swordsman needed support as it had struggles. Then, one day, Bisharp roamed in the Wild Areas and came across an ogre-looking creature known as Grimmsnarl. Grimmsnarl had access to Prankster and Reflect and Light Screen, which can lure in Defoggers for Bisharp to feast on and activate Defiant. It could also check most Fighting Types with Spirit Break and offered great utility in making Bisharp bulkier due to screens. Then, a duo was born and a team was created.

THE TEAM

Bisharp @ Black Glasses
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Iron Head
- Throat Chop
- Sucker Punch

Bisharp is the main Pokemon I wanted to build around and works great on screens. Once it uses Swords Dance or gets a Defiant boost, it can possibly start threatening teams. It has a great priority STAB move in Sucker Punch that helps with its low speed and could even kill off some of its biggest threats like Cinderace and Choice Specs Dragapult. Iron Head is the usual STAB and kills off fairies like Grimmsnarl, Sylveon and Hatterene. Throat Chop deals additional damage to slower Pokemon that resist/take neutral damage from Iron Head or dont resist Throat Chop. Black Glasses is the item of choice because it gets boosted priority STAB and Life Orb seemed a bit risky on screens.

:conkeldurr: :kommo-o:Fighting Types: Fighting Types, notably Conkeldurr and Kommo-o, all resist it's dark STAB moves and kill it back with Fighting moves. Conkeldurr OHKOs Bisharp with Mach Punch.
:hydreigon: Hydreigon: Hydreigon resists Sucker Punch and OHKOes Bisharp back with Fire Blast/Flamethrower. Bisharp won't have any pleasure switching in on SubPlot Hydreigon, either.

Grimmsnarl @ Light Clay
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 92 HP / 252 Atk / 164 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Spirit Break
- Reflect
- Light Screen
- Taunt
Grimmsnarl is one of the best screen setters due to its ability Prankster, making Status moves priority. It can also shut off defoggers with Taunt like Corviknight, Mandibuzz and Court Change Cinderace that want to remove the teams screens. Spirit Break is STAB and checks Fighting types and Hydreigon, Bisharps most threatening checks. Adamant Nature makes Spirit Break more hard hitting.
:clefable: :mimikyu: :toxtricity: Wallbreakers: Wallbreakers like Clefable, Mimikyu or Toxtricity all pressure Grimmsnarl even under screens and shorten its longevity.

Excadrill @ Focus Sash
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Steel Beam
- Rapid Spin
Excadrill is the Stealth Rock lead of the team which makes sweeping/wallbreaking much easier on this team. It's ability, Mold Breaker, ignores Magic Bounce from Hatterene and can hit the Rotoms with Earthquake. Excadrill works as both a hazard setter and a rapid spinner, so it can do chip damage to SR leads and gain a speed boost, as well as not having to worry about removing it's own hazards. Steel Beam hits fairies and leaves open holes for defoggers and rapid spinners as it loses 50% HP, giving the team an option to check them.
:excadrill: Other Excadrill Leads: People like to Rapid Spin turn 1 and then use EQ in order to kill Excadrill leads. Both doing this process results in a speed tie and being outsped results in no hazards.

Dragapult @ Leftovers
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Substitute
- Dragon Dance
- Dragon Darts
- Phantom Force
Dragon Dance Dragapult is a great sweeper under screens and can tank a few hits under Substitute. A lot of people predict Choice Specs Dragapult, making this set easier to use. A +1 speed dragapult is impossible to outspeed, making sure it can be threatening. Dragon Darts is a strong STAB move that hits twice and Phantom Force, although suffers from using 2 turns instead of 1, has a great 90 BP.
:bisharp: Bisharp: Bisharp resists both of Dragapults moves and OHKOes it with Sucker Punch, as said above.
:mimikyu: Mimikyu: Mimikyu is immune to Dragon Darts and gets its Disguise worn off by Phantom Force before OHKoing it back with Play Rough/Shadow Claw. It also has priority in Shadow Sneak.
:toxapex: :mandibuzz: :tyranitar: Bulky Pokemon: Toxapex can burn Dragapult with Scald while wearing off its Dragon Dance with Haze, Mandibuzz can tank a Dragon Darts decently and can OHKO it with Foul Play, and Tyranitar can also do the same thing.

Cloyster @ King's Rock
Ability: Skill Link
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Shell Smash
- Icicle Spear
- Liquidation
- Rock Blast
Cloyster was a last second thought to put on the team, but it works very well in screens as a sweeper with Shell Smash. Icicle Spear and Rock Blast with Kings Rock gives a 41% flinch chance, wearing off even Pokemon that tank its moves. Liquidation is an additional STAB that can hit steel types like Bisharp. It's high defense can also make it tank a couple of hits under screens before Shell Smashing. It can also deal with Ground and Fire types.
:conkeldurr: Conkeldurr: Conkeldurr can revenge kill Cloyster back with a Mach Punch, as its lowered defenses will make it less bulky in screens.

Kommo-o @ Throat Spray
Ability: Soundproof
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Clangorous Soul
- Clanging Scales
- Flamethrower
- Flash Cannon
Kommo-o is the best sweeper under screens. It's item, Throat Spray, gives it a +2 special attack instead of +1 special attack on Clangorous Soul as well as boosting the rest of its stats. It has a great special movepool coverage, such as Flamethrower to check steel types like Corviknight. It has a great STAB move in Clanging Scales which can do a lot as a sweeper. Soundproof can also make it immune to Sylveons Pixilate boosted Hyper Voice. Flash Cannon also hits Fairy types and is a great special attacker overall.
:Mimikyu: Mimikyu: Mimikyu can take a hit from Flash Cannon with its disguise up and kill it back with Play Rough.
:toxapex: Toxapex: Max Special Defense invested Toxapex could possibly tank a +2 Clanging Scales and ruin its sweeping chance with Haze.

REPLAYS

And so, Bisharp and Grimmsnarl had made a couple of friends along the way of serving for the metagame. Excadrill, which made defogging much more common for Bisharp to feast on, Dragapult, which supported screens, Cloyster, which enjoyed checking Ground and Fire types, and Kommo-O, which also supports screens. The duo has made it a team. The team would be different without those two. The end.

I love this team. I just love it.
I'm just scared of how fairies wreck this team; mimikyu (not me), hatterene, bulk up grimmsnarl, and more could be threatening to this team (TR hatterene and grimmsnarl deserves special mention due to the fact that the former could potentially sweep your team due to your team being composed of fast attackers, and the latter setting up on dragapult or grimmsnarl and potentially sweep your team if bisharp is gone.)
I will test this team a litte more. You deserve a follow.

Conkeldurr is very troublesome for this team, since it not only has priority, but also because only dragapult resists/is immune to its STAB moves, yet is still hit by EQ and ice punch.

Ty, I will try finding more checks to Conkeldurr since half of the team is weak to it. I guess fairies could be a threat since Bisharp is part dark type so it wouldnt be the best switch-in but hey Mystical Fire activates Defiant so theres that

Actually, the only fairies that mystic fire is viable is hatterene and sylveon. I got the info from my friend Teiru mimikyu.
