With a Choice Band, Metagross becomes a devastating wallbreaker for Psychic teams thanks to its incredible Attack stat, immunity to Intimidate, and incredible priority move. Heavy Slam makes full use of Metagross's immense weight to deal with threats like Azumarill. Alternatively, Meteor Mash allows Metagross to OKHO heavier targets like Kyurem and Tyranitar along with getting a possible Attack boost at the cost of some accuracy. Bullet Punch provides a solid form of priority to deal with faster targets such as Flutter Mane, Alolan Ninetales, Weavile, and weakened Hoopa-U. Knock Off allows Metagross to force progress against targets that can otherwise handle it like Skarmory and Corviknight by removing crucial held items; it also threatens Ghost-types such as Air Balloon Gholdengo and Sinistcha. Finally, Earthquake hits Steel- and Electric-type threats like Hisuian Goodra, Magnezone, and Raging Bolt. The EV Spread used allows Metagross to outspeed Adamant Azumarill while surviving hits such as Modest +1 Raging Bolt's Thunderbolt.

Choice Specs Latios, when paired with Metagross, forms a devastating wallbreaker core; Latios cleanly removes physical walls such as Skarmory, Corviknight, and Hippowdon, while Metagross can remove threats Latios struggles against such as Hisuian Goodra, Blissey, and Flutter Mane. Deoxys-S provides solid entry hazard stacking capabilities, further increasing Metagross's wallbreaking capabilities. Choice Scarf Iron Boulder provides a solid form of speed control along with dealing with Fire-type threats such as Iron Moth, Volcarona, and Ogerpon-H. Assault Vest Hoopa-U can deal with problematic Ghost-types that handle Metagross like Gholdengo and Hisuian Zoroark with ease. Slowbro supports Metagross by dealing with Fire- and Ground-types like Cinderace, Great Tusk, and Mamoswine along with providing Thunder Wave support, allowing Metagross to outspeed threats such as Heatran and Cinderace. Choice Scarf Latias can support Metagross by dealing with threats such as Gouging Fire and non-Choice Scarf Dragapult and provides Healing Wish support to heal Metagross. Hatterene provides utility in Magic Bounce to prevent entry hazards along with dealing with Dark-type threats such as Sableye, Mandibuzz, and Roaring Moon, which otherwise threaten Metagross. Armarouge deals with Steel-type threats such as Scizor, Archaludon, and Skarmory that handle Metagross.

With a Choice Band, Metagross becomes a devastating Wall breaker for Psychic-type teams. [Honestly elaborate more on the intro its great due to choice band + priority, which allows it to take out strong threats like Flutter Mane which is huge.] Heavy Slam is the STAB of choice making full use of Metagross immense weight to deal with threats like Azumarill. Alternatively, Meteor Mash can be used over Heavy Slam allowing for Metagross to OKHO heavier targets like Kyurem and Tyranitar along with getting a possible attack raise at the cost of some accuracy. Bullet Punch provides a solid form of priority to deal with faster targets such as Flutter Mane and Alolan Ninetales. Knock Off allows for Metagross to force progress against targets that can handle it like Skarmory and Corviknight. [This is not telling me how this is making progress against them.] Finally Earthquake hits Steel- and Electric-type threats like Goodra-Hisui, Magnezone, and Raging Bolt. The EV Spread used allows for Metagross to out speed Adamant Azumarill while allowing it to survive hits such as a Modest +1 Raging Bolt Thunder Bolt.

Choice Specs Latios when paired with Metagross forms a devastating wall breaker core with Latios cleanly removing physical walls such as Skarmory, Corviknight, and Hippowdon while Metagross can remove threats Latios struggles against such as Hisuian Goodra, Blissey, and Flutter Mane. Deoxys-S The Dexoys formes provide solid hazard stacking capabilities further increasing Metagross wall breaking capabilities. Choice Scarf Iron Boulder provides a solid form of speed control along with dealing with Fire-type threats such as Iron Moth, Volcarona, and Ogerpon-H. Assault Vest Hoopa-U can deal with problematic Ghost-type that handle Metagross like Gholdengo and Spectrier with ease. Slowbro supports Metagross by dealing with Fire- and Ground-types like Cinderace, Great Tusk, and Mamoswine along with providing Thunder Wave support allowing for Metagross to out speed threats like such as Tornadus-T and Latios. Choice Scarf Latias can support Metagross by being able to deal with threats like such as Gouging Fire and non-Choice Scarf Dragapult along with using Healing Wish to heal Metagross.
* Add Hatterene tf?!!! Magic Bounce + deals with Roaring Moon, Sableye, and Mandibuzz.

Knock Off allows for Metagross to force progress against targets that can handle it like Skarmory and Corviknight by removing crucial held items (Threatens Ghost types such as Sinistcha and Air Balloon Gholdengo). Assault Vest Hoopa-U can deal with problematic Ghost-type that handle Metagross like Gholdengo and Hisuian Zoroark Spectrier (Hoopa-U fears Will-O-Wisp and can potentially be overpowered by Colbur Berry Sets) with ease. Slowbro supports Metagross by dealing with Fire- and Ground-types like Cinderace, Great Tusk, and Mamoswine along with providing Thunder Wave support allowing for Metagross to out speed threats like such as Tornadus-T and Latios (Metagross doesn't really struggle in these matchups, Thunder Wave would be more useful against threats like Heatran or Cinderace). Choice Scarf Latias can support Metagross by being able to deal with threats like such as Gouging Fire and non-Choice Scarf Dragapult along with using Healing Wish to heal Metagross. Hatterene provides utility in Magic Bounce to prevent entry hazards along with dealing with Dark-type threats such as Sableye, Mandibuzz and Roaring Moon who otherwise threaten Wall Metagross. (Armarouge deals with Steel types. Try to find a way to mention the Ground immunity that Latias and Latios provide but if it messes with the flow of the analysis don't bother)
