[SET COMMENTS]
Thanks to its good Speed and its decent Special Attack, along strong STABs and a great ability that gives it free boosts in Attack, Special Attack, and Speed only once after a kill, Battle Bond Greninja is a very good cleaner and late game sweeper. Surf can be chosen over Hydro Pump for more accuracy, although the loss of power will miss the OHKO on Bulky Volcarona and the 2HKO on Corviknight, Clefable, and Gouging Fire. Water Shuriken gives Greninja a great priority, while Ice Beam completes its moveset, hitting super effectively Roaring Moon and Meowscarada, which resists both of Greninja’s STABs, as well as Dragonite, which can easily tank Dark Pulse thanks to Multiscale. Tera Water reinforces Greninja’s Water-type moves, ensuring the OHKO on weakened Cinderace and, after one layer of Spikes, on Great Tusk, Iron Treads, Garganacl, and Glimmora with Water Shuriken and Darkrai with Surf or Hydro Pump, as well as the 2HKO on Ting-Lu and on the aforementioned OHKO and 2HKO with Surf, which Greninja would miss otherwise.
Battle Bond Greninja works best in offensive teams. With Kingambit, which is a staple on these teams, or even Roaring Moon, it can form a great Dark-type spam core, putting pressure on their counters in order to take them down long term. Iron Valiant can weaken Pokemon so as to get them revenge killed by Greninja, which can therefore gain the Battle Bond boost, whereas Gholdengo appreciates Greninja's ability to possibly threaten Volcarona, Iron Moth, and Roaring Moon. Kingambit, Gouging Fire, and Raging Bolt may also benefit from Greninja’s presence, as it can threaten Ground-types like Great Tusk, Landorus-T, and Gliscor and Pokemon with Ground-type coverage like Roaring Moon, Dragonite, Glimmora, and Heatran for them. Due to the Life Orb recoil and its low bulk, Greninja can be easily revenge killed by faster Pokemon or priority moves, despite its own priority. Therefore, Zamazenta and Iron Valiant are both great teammates for Greninja. The former checks Rillaboom, Dragonite, and Meowscarada, while the latter can threaten Dragapult, Darkrai, and Zamazenta. In return, Greninja can deal with Gholdengo and Skeledirge on the one hand, and with Volcarona and Gholdengo on the other hand. Dragonite and Volcarona are good partners too, threatening Rillaboom, Raging Bolt, Iron Valiant, and Darkrai, while Greninja beats Skeledirge, Roaring Moon, and Clodsire for the latter. Moreover, Iron Boulder's presence may be beneficial for Greninja, as it can take down Roaring Moon, Iron Valiant, Galarian Slowking, and Volcarona. Finally, entry hazards can help Greninja to sweep late game, so entry hazards setters like Great Tusk, Iron Treads, and Glimmora are good teammates.
