Rejected Battle Backgrounds

So, you know how for the Homepage in Pokemon Showdown, you can change the background to anything you want. Right?

Well, imagine being able to change the background of a current Pokemon Battle! This would not only show off your creativity, but it would also set the mood and identity for the Pokemon Battle!

This can be used to show off your Photoshop Skills, introduce your pet dog, or even just share a meme!

Heck! I can see a Pokemon Battle in an Ace Attorney Courtroom!

Maybe if you want to develop a Pokemon Fangame someday, you're creating a background for Pokemon Battles, and the best way to test it out is with a fellow Pokemon fan during a real battle!

The possibilities are endless! I can't wait for this to become a real feature!

I'm not entirely sure what this suggestion means, but just as with the homepage background, custom battle backgrounds would only apply to you; your opponent wouldn't be able to see it.

I waited a while to see what other people think, but it doesn't look like anyone has much to say here.

I personally think it's unnecessary complexity. You have to draw the line somewhere, and I think the one background is plenty. I think if you want any more than that, you probably want an extension.

There's one called Stylus that allows you to customize the CSS of any website.
