TMs
Take Down, Agility, Scary Face, Protect, Ice Fang, Water Pulse, Chilling Water, Facade, Swift, Endure, Rain Dance, Brick Break, Psychic Fangs, Sleep Talk, Waterfall, Poison Jab, Rest, Substitute, Drill Run, Crunch, Liquidation, Surf, Ice Beam, Hydro Pump, Blizzard, Giga Impact, Hyper Beam, Close Combat, Tera Blast

Pros:
+ Outspeeds everything under rain
+ Hits hard with Choice Band rain boosted Liquidation, especially after Terastallizing
+ Good coverage options in Psychic Fangs and Close Combat
+ Bulky Water types like Toxapex and Slowbro have been nerfed

Cons:
- Frail
- Lost Flip Turn
- Rain is kinda overshadowed by Ancient Paradox Sun teams (which don't even need Sun support thanks to Booster Energy), and Houndstone Sand

Tera Potential:
Can terastallizse into Water to hit extra hard, because rain boosted Choice Band Liquidation off of a 123 Attack stat wasn't hitting hard enough. As for Tera Blast, I think its coverage is good enough that you are better off running that on something else.

Sets:

Barraskewda @ Choice Band
Ability: Swift Swim
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Aqua Jet
- Liquidation
- Close Combat
- Psychic Fangs

Your bread and butter rain sweeper set. Liquidation go brr, Aqua Jet is for anything that might be running priority against Liquidation, Close Combat is for mons like Iron Bundle and Baxcalibur, and Psychic Fangs is for Toxapex. Adamant is valued over Jolly because you're already crazy fast under rain and more power is preferred.

Comments:
Right now I there are just much better ways to make a weather team, which is why it seems rather overlooked. I think it has potential once the meta settles down, though losing Flip Turn hurts, and the probable ban of Terastallizing probably hurts too. If there's anything relevant to this analysis that I might have missed, be sure to let me know!

EDIT: With Flutter Mane and Houndstone banned, Rain could potentially be more viable now.

EDIT 2: I am angry at myself for not once in this analysis using the word Teraskewda

Skewda is overshadowed by Palafin for the most part but IMO does make for a nice alternative on Rain teams that is much faster and much more immediately threatening. Rain I still feel has merit because it can counteract sun spam. Skewda can check Roaring Moon in a pinch which is quite nice.

I imagine in a scenario where Palafin and Iron Bundle get the boot Skewda Rain will see more use. But that remains to be seen.
